I had a Gastric Bypass 39 years ago. I have, had lost over 100lbs gained some back and lost again with a great struggle. Back then there was no proper education/instructions as to what to do afterwards. No pre-surgery instructions nothing. You had your surgery spent a week in hospital and sent home and now living with life long complications. No follow up instruction others then to remove the 135 staples holding you together. It’s so much safer today with greater success. Both you and your husbands journey the last year is amazing, keep up the great job. I’ve just started watching your vlogs and truly enjoying them, since being introduced to you through Victoria. Love all the wonderful trips you take. Enjoy life to the fullest 💕🇨🇦
Oh my gosh it sounds like its come along way since then you are right! holey smokes hehe, thank you so so much! This is hoenstly a huge compliment and welcome to the channel! YOU DA BEST
Not long found your channel from Victoria, just want to say I’m absolutely loving it. The way you vlog and your personality is just so lovely. Thank you 😊
Aww Catherine I smiled the whole way through the video. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. And amazing results on weight loss. You are a beautiful bright star. We all love you Dear 🌟💖 xx
Just discovered your channel & florida vlogs I love visiting Florida ❤ especially Disney & Universal! You're such I breathe of fresh air . Your vlogs are beautiful , vibrant & colourful & a chilled vibe I'm filled with excitement & joy to be visiting the Disney parks again in September! 😁 Thankyou. 🩷🌸
The series I didn't know I needed 😫😫😫 I've had gastric sleeve and go to Disney yearly and while my eating is semi "normal" after 10 years, I still have to avoid certain things. Thank you!!!
I have absolutely zero interest in Disney stuff but you always have a way of making things interesting to watch 😆 Congrats on your amazing achievement! 🌟
The boats are so fun!!! We went to Disney (my first time!) for our honeymoon, and we were gifted a stay in the Saratoga Springs resort. We took the boat everyday to and from Disney Springs - we'd go shop, get snacks/food, some drinks, and take it back to our hotel room. It was so fun!
This is the first time I’ve watched one of your videos and I LOVED it. You have such a refreshing take on the parks and love seeing your budgeting tips! Also loved your dress!
I’m a new subscriber and I’m really enjoying your content. It really brings a smile to my face! I was wondering what your dress/play suit with the peaches/oranges is from?
Oh my goodness, thank you so so much! This was actually from Shein, but I got it from Vinted! (Or it might of been a charity shop lol I cant remember but it was one of the two)
Your weight loss is incredible, congratulations!! I love your vlogs. You make me want to visit every place you go 🙂 I also wanted to tell you how much I like your camera work. You have such a talent for framing the video/pictures so lovely.
Catherine…I am a colour lover too and the Florida sunsets offer such stunning displays! A book I’d recommend to you since you love colour is “The secret Lives of colour” by Kassia St. Clair…I love this book as I feel emerged in colour when I read it.
Love your vlogs. I had a bypass in November- not at my goal weight yet but will be traveling to WDW in May a size 16 (maybe even a 14!) rather than a 20/22
Oh my goshhhh how exciting, hoenstly you will notice a huge difference, one thing I didn't mention was that I no longer sweat as much, actually the opposite I get cold really easy lol even in Orlando! lol 🤣
Youll be okay! I promise we were fine, I suffer from Late dumping (reactive hypoglycemia) I take protein/fruit/nuts and snacks in my bag! 🌸 also take collapsable containers to save money/box up any meals you dont eat
Really brilliant video, thanks 😊. I’m five months out from surgery and still learning what is safe and what isn’t. The drinking thing is my biggest issue, and trying to do protein first when all I want is crisps! Xxx
I love seeing these videos as they kind of give me inspo too for whenever I'm at amusement parks, especially Disney. It's so damn hard to not indulge like crazy at Disney when they have so many amazing foods! Idk if Orlando has it, but California has those giant corn dogs and I get one every time with a churro lol
Thank you so much for doing blogs like this!! I had a gastric sleeve in September last year and I am panicking about the rides! I didn’t fit on much at universal studios so hopefully I can fit on some. Can I ask what size/weight you were in 2019 on the mummy? This is the ride I am most excited about
Hi Catherine, loving your blog. I have a gastric sleeve in October 2021 and have lost 112lbs, now 148 lbs and a size 10, I haven’t been back to Disney since I had my surgery so this is really helpful! I’m also interested to know if you’ve done an all inclusive holiday as I have one coming up! Did you find you ate more in Orlando due to the amount of walking? Did you need to increase your water intake also? Any other differences you find (outside of eating)?
heheh aww thank you so much! and WOWWWW what a acheivement congratulations 😍 I went to Turkey on a all inclusive holiday, I vlogged it actually it was lovely, but I mainly stuck with salads and vegtables with meat, Id have a little bit of dessert every night, but i can't tolerate much!
I would worry about food poisoning keeping leftover chicken in a container for later - but I'm paranoid like that! Also, I got a nitro cold brew once and it made me SO shaky and upset my stomach. Haven't made that mistake again and stick with regular cold brew. My favorite is the pumpkin cream in the fall.
@@catherinekayy I can't wait until it comes back later this month! In the meantime, I've been enjoying their new cinnamon caramel cream cold brew (say that 10 times fast)!
Have you ever ran into an issue of traveling or going into an event and you're not allowed to bring sealed/packaged snacks or water? I'm having surgery soon and often wonder if places that go through bags/purses for security would require me to toss out stuff I've brought. Ideally I will always have something on me after surgery so I'm never without a quality protein source or water when I need it. Would love any feedback if you experienced any issues with that. Thanks for these vlogs! It is helpful to know how things change over time after surgery.
I haven't personally run into those issues, but i would state they are for medical reasons if they as, I agree with Chromegirl, I carry a card in my bag that says I have had bariatric surgery that I got from my clinic, but I haven't ever had to use it xxxx
My cousin lost weight and I asked her how she did without working out. She said she PORTIONS what she eats and she stops eating when she feels full. We as people usually over eat hence why a lot of us don’t lose weight. Hahaa but happiness and stress free also plays a key. Thanks for another amazing vlog hun 🥰
Your totally right, my portions were out of control before surgery! ✨ I agree with the stress, that can be such a huge factor for overeating, I know it was for me!
I haven't saved that much actually, because we now get alot of protein drinks in for dean hahah and they can be pricing, also the cost of living increase means we haven't noticed a huge huge impact! Althoughhhh I will say we save ALOT on takeaways and eating out!
@@Lisasplace heheh oh yeah! I don't tend to count my coffee as fluid intake because its a diuretic, so I add on top of that! hehe ✨ if it was decaff though I would totally count it hehe
I love your videos. Your bootle of water and food box are cute. I have a question😁😁the cold brew...is it bitter??? Or smooth?? I've always wanted to try it. And besides the the sweet foam do you put anything else else in it?? Luke half and half or sugar?? Thank you.
Cold brew is super smooth and not bitter imo ❤😮 brewing it cold extracts the beans giving a softer rich flavour I love it so much! I personally don’t add any sugar or sweetness to the cream cause I think it ruins the taste of the coffee and I like to taste it hehe 🥹✨ but you can add a syrup if you like! Xxxx
Of course this is the recepie I follow: www.theflavorbender.com/chia-bliss-balls-vegan-treat/ I tweak it to my tastes now though, I add a little more salt and chocolate xxx
That orange outfit. O.M.G... SLAY!!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
