I love how honest you are about what you eat and realistic. I find a lot of weight loss "What I eat in a day" vids to be heavily fabricated and just not feasible for people who love and enjoy food. Seems like you guys are having a great balance with the weight loss! And esp in a place like Disney World, where you're walking like 20K+ steps a day lol
Hehehe aww thank you so much! ❤❤❤❤ this means the world! 🥹🥹🌷 balance is important after always struggling with the binge eating cycle 🌷🌷 I’m trying to be more relaxed around food! But it is a struggle sometimes 😂❤
My husband had the gastric sleeve procedure in 2014. I wondered why I was not included in the sessions he was required to take pre-surgery. I say this because he went through a rough time and was in and out of the hospital frequently due to dehydration. Truth be told, he thought he could do things his way and avoid the foods he was encouraged to eat. Also, he does not cook and it was my responsibility to prep healthy meals for him. This is a journey that impacts both partners even if only one has the procedure. On a positive note he reached his weight goals and managed to keep it off. He eats small portions throughout the day. It was a hard road but I am so glad his health has improved. Thanks for sharing your's and Dean's story Catherine.
Oh no I’m sorry he had a rough time ❤ thank you for sharing your experience 🥹🥹🌷 i do feel lucky that me and Dean went through it together but I can imagine how hard it is when only one partner goes through it! ❤
I had my gastric bypass 3 months before you! I get early dumping syndrome. But I don't diet or count calories or log food. Instead I try to nourish myself with healthy whole grains, fruits, veg and meats. Then I emphasize exercise! It's gone really well. My weight loss has also slowed down but I have lost 185 lbs. I started at 366 lbs. Anyways, I think you're awesome and I love you!
Wow.. Holy Moly.. Well done you two sweeties. That is amazing. I'm a lady 55 and you both inspire happiness. I'm doing fasting and one meal a day which is beneficial for me especially being slightly older. See how it goes 😊. I feel like I've been on a diet 35yrs.. Love these vlogs. Fabulous ❤❤❤
Soo lovely to see your progresss ❤ mine sleeve surg downsizeing has slowed down but too much sweet treats in xmast time😊 would be great to see you normal eating day now after 2 years... love you ❤ take care xx
When I lost all my weight, I did a similar thing that you did at the pizza restaurant. I would just eat a very large salad before each meal and fill up on salad. Then when I had my pasta or pizza or whatever I would eat less of it, but I would still be satisfied because I didn’t feel like I was missing out on any foods. I was able to lose about 50 pounds and six months by just doing that one simple change.
In my hometown in South America, Parrots like the red, blue and yellow are flying wild from one coconut tree to the next one. 😅 My uncle had so many as pets that at some point the neighbors complained about the noise of them screaming Hola and other sentenced all the time lol
I gotta thank you or sharing your weight loss journey and being realistic about it and the after affects. I've been considering weight loss surgery for myself for about a year, and out of all of them, the gastric bypass sounds like the best to me (the sling around your stomach freaks me out cause it could break. So that's a hard no for me lol!). It's really encouraging to see your journey.
i always thought you looked amazing when watching your studio vlogs but the difference you can see in the before and after photos is amazing, im glad you are doing well :)
I love these update vlogs!! It's so inspiring to see you and Dean being realistic about how you're eating mindfully and still having treats and the things you enjoy -- I'm working on my own weight loss and things like these keep me wanting to continue trying hard and improving myself :)
Hey Catherine 🤗 thanks for the update - I cannot wait to hear further details about both you and Dean. I’m glad you had a great day at AK but sorry to hear you are suffering with motion sickness a bit more. That pizza pie looked amazing 😍 Looking forward to your next vlog 🩷 xxx
You look fantastic. I’ve suffered from hypoglycaemia all my life. Exercise and eating sweet things definitely cause it. It can be very distressing. I’ve found that if you keep the sweet things to evening, it really helps.
Fellow Nord person here, congratulations on your progress! I'm 2y 2m out and about to have tummy skin removal, think my body has settled at a happy weight now. It's not as low as I imagined but I'm a 'normal' BMI and size 12 so it'll do! Really interesting to hear about your travelling nutrition strategies, I still aim to eat high protein but it's so hard when not at home!
Thanks for sharing your progress ❤ I’m a Disney World local and loveeee your vlogs. The next time you visit, would you consider doing a fun Disney meet up?
You look (even more) amazing Catherine, you’ve both done fantastically! Do you work out as well to minimise excess skin? You don’t look like you have any!
you are doing so awesome. I am 15 months post op and living my best life! YOU actually inspired me to do it, so thank you!!! (PS! also recently started struggling with reactive hypoglycemia, not fun, but yeah, some jellies in my pocket now all the time) ❤❤❤
You and Dean look great! The frog story at the end had me cracking up. I was coming back from the parks one night and didn't realize one was perched on the railing of the staircase at our hotel. Put my hand right on it and screamed! Ha!
We just got back from 9 days in WDW. My husband heard about Giordanos on TikTok. We had it delivered to our room at Saratoga Springs (the Disney resort by Disney Springs). It wasn't my cup of tea, but my husband said it was the best pizza he ever had! I just couldn't handle all the cheese!!
I’m also scared of butterflies, they’re pretty from afar but their legs scare me and I don’t like them to land on me LOL but I do have two parrots and seeing those parrots fly around made me so happy!! I hope I see them on my next visit to animal kingdom. I’m currently trying to teach one of them to fly and getting her to fly like the birds in the bird show (though indoors, bc predators) would be a DREAM
I had weightloss surgery Sept 22' and the fact that i LOVE your channel and everything you do and all the cuteness and traveling PLUS you have some content like this about surgery updates etc is awesome! I'm down 190lbs(no idea how much in stone) and i have all of the same issues as you. Bread sucks to eat after surgery because of how full i feel even though i love bread/pizza/noodles they are so filling i usually skip them =[ thanks for the great content as always
Congratulations on your weight loss. It’s so hard to make good food choices all day long! Good to see you enjoying treats as you explore Disney. One time in Florida I attended a frog festival! Main item on the menu - frog legs. People were eating them by the bucketful….I only took a wee bite…it tasted swampy😜
You inspired me to take the plunge 9 months ago and I had a gastric sleeve done here in the UK (I was scared about aftercare and the travel side of things). I started at a similar weight to you and I'm the same height - currently down nearly 7.5 stone. I've struggled a lot with eating enough and also had horrendous constipation/bowel issues a couple of times, even ending up in A&E. Any tips on getting fibre and nutrients in would be super helpful. I'm so focussed on getting enough protein in that there's never enough room for veggies! Still taking a daily multivitamin and I'm on iron tablets too. It's all been massively worth it though - my life has totally changed for the better, including a new job, being physically fit and just feeling happier. Trying to keep up with dropping clothes sizes has been a challenge! It's definitely slowing down for me but I guess thats to be expected as the calorie deficit between 22 stone and 14stone is much smaller. Thank you for your inspiration and helping me get my confidence back. Xxx
Amazing well done I had a sleeve first lost 6 stone then I had ongoing problems so my surgeon wanted me back to do bypass so I did and have lost 8 1/2 stone in all now.the scales don’t seem to be going down any more.i wanted to loose another stone really but struggling.so I’m looking forward to seeing yours and your husbands updates x
mine is the same! I have comepltely stalled in my weight loss and seem to really struggle losing anymore! I think alot of it maybe loose skin but it looks like excess weight still!
have you tried ginger for the motion sickness? ginger chews are super convenient but those are usually quite sugary. maybe ginger tea or ginger in your water?
Hey Catherine! Can I ask, were you a fussy eater before your bypass? I'm on my own weight loss journey and I'm about to go on holiday. I'd love to be be choosing healthier options like you but I hate salad! Have you just grown to enjoy it since your bypass? I'd also love to see a top tips or making healthy choices when on holiday! You seem to go halves a lot or go for the kids options but do you have any other tips please? ❤️❤️
This is really interesting, I didn't know you could ever have normal meals at all after the surgery! Don't worry you'll get to the app 10 st goal for sure
You were lucky in losing weight slowly, I had a MGB in August 2016, and in the September I lost over 30kg!!! I couldn't do any exercise and thought I was gonna die! Finally levelled out, I'm now 65kg less than I was before surgery and now able to control my diabetes with Metformin (had one year vwith no meds, but it didn't last).
I never realised how much weight you lost! I mean I saw it but that comparison post. You are a trooper! ❤ ... also WDW related question 😁 roughly how much is uber from your hotel to WDW parks?
if it makes u feel any better i lived in FL over by tampa and i was getting in the pool when i was little. i thought it would be fun to float around in the pool with my lifevest on and it was hanging on the wall. We typically had it when we went to the beach. I went to grab it there was a massive frog on the wall. i thought it was cool and just kept looking at it and it let off the wall and smacked me in the face. i fell backwards into the pool. kinda lucky i didnt scrap my legs on the pool lip or crack my head in the shallows.
Fair warning, if you come to Florida during rainy season, we have cane toads, which can get bigger than your hand, are super loud, and can kill your pets. You tend to see a lot of them smashed in the middle of the street during the summer, because people hit them during the night. (They are nocturnal and it’s hard to see them when you are driving after dark.) I don’t mind frogs, but I can’t stand toads because of cane toads.
Did they not use electric vehicles for driving round that Zoo ... if not all that noise and pollution for the animals is awful :( And of course another fantastic vlog :) Surely if any company could afford to implement this it's the Disney Franchise ...... The dumping syndrome lists i have bits of both quite frequently but I'm peri menopause as well so i have no idea which or what it is ...loool Oh to be young again :)
Congrats on your surgery. Goodness knows people tell you to run it off and starve it off but sometimes nature needs assistance. Humans are complex machines. I do know that tummy tucks still let someone gain but are bypasses more restrictive?
Did you have any issues after this surgery? Because you body has to readjust because you can’t eat what it was used to in order to function? Did you experience dizziness or nausea or even faint away? 🙌❤️👍 I literally salute you for what you’ve achieved honestly 😎 the determination and positivity in one person and showing others what you can achieve if you really want it it’s just epic ☀️🎉❤
LOL 🤣 omgosh I wish it was called that thats adorable hehehe, its called 'Dumping Syndrome' sorry I know my accent is a little strong sometimes heheh xxxx

Our relationship with food is a difficult one. You are doing a fantastic job!
My mom always had my just eat the toppings off the pizza and leave the bread. I really like it, less bread and you get all the good stuff.
You look (even more) amazing Catherine, you’ve both done fantastically!

My bypass was restrictive at first! I feel like now I feel I can eat a much more substantial portion! 🥹🎀🌷
I have never known anyone else who is afraid of butterflies! Haha I don’t want them near me at all 😂
I feel the same about froggies. They are cute but my fear is to see them get hurt.
🥳

A bit tone deaf with all the Starbucks considering A LOT of people boycotting it with good reasons now.
