Hey Tony, i just found your channel and love it....I was born, raised and live and own a business in New Jersey and i HATE IT!! High cost of living, disgustingly high taxes...etc.....I want to move south eventually. I have been looking at going to one of the Carolinas, then stumbled upon Foley and it looks AMAZING!!! Looking forward to following your content on here and keeping Foley in mind as an absolute possibility!

I grew up in NJ and have lived in Foley for almost three years. Give me a shout if you would like to talk. Everybody is different, with different opinions on life and what they want. I have many years of experience in both the north and the south. There are a lot of stereotypes. I like it here but it's not for everyone, just like other places.

I found a 3000 sq ft house with a 400sq ft covered back porch and the yard is .62 acres. Foley is a great place to live. We are happy to be close to all major water ways not to mention less than 1 hour to Pensacola beach.

After selling our winter home in Tucson, AZ, we asked our daughter if she had any
suggestions for a new winter haven. She suggested Foley, AL knowing we are not really
beach people. We were totally sold, and we bought 3 homes there; one for us and one
each for each of our children who are nearing retirement.

I guess if you compare housing prices to cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, etc. the cost of housing here in Foley is substantially cheaper. However, if you are citizen of Foley and work in or around the Foley area, the wages do not reflect affordable housing. Foley and surrounding areas fall far below average income vs. cost of living. You, being in real estate would naturally overinflate the actual housing situation. No one can afford the cost of housing here in Foley, if you work in Foley. The main sources of income in Foley are restaurant workers, retail workers, hospitality workers, and other tourist-based businesses. These jobs do not afford the average citizen the ability of home ownership. I have lived and worked in Foley since 2012. I finally purchased a home in 2017. Since then, the price of my home has almost tripled in price. There is no way I could afford to purchase my home today. Why do you think the Foley area is inundated with RV parks? Not because of the snowbirds or tourons, but because of the many, many blue-collar workers who can't afford to rent housing, much less, purchase a home. Affordable housing for blue-collar workers my ass.

We love your comment and perspective! It’s clear you have a lot of insight into the housing situation here. We also moved here as blue-collar workers back in 2016 and bought a house right away. Since then, we’ve moved several times, and we don’t make excuses for our situation. If we want something, we simply adapt and change what we need to do to achieve it.
That being said, you're right-many average people tend to settle for mediocrity and come up with excuses. However, those who are willing to work hard can definitely make things happen. We've actually helped several construction and retail workers find homes here, thanks to the affordable prices and low interest rates available.
It’s important to remember that homeownership is achievable with the right mindset and resources. Taking the initiative to explore different financing options, understanding the local market, and being open to various neighborhoods can make a significant difference. By seeking support from the top relocation team in ALL of Lower Alabama, who understands the needs of blue-collar workers, you can gain valuable insights and guidance too. Ultimately, it's all about determination and finding the right opportunities!

@@LivingInLowerAlabamathat’s just realtor speak to sell homes. It’s not based in reality.

@@mimig123 The reality is affordability can be a real challenge in Foley. However compared to big cities like LA, NY, CHI... Foley still offers more accessible homeownership opportunities. Rising prices show growth, but they also point to the need for more affordable housing options. There are programs for first-time buyers and developments for all budgets that can help. Ask us about them or watch more of our videos...we’re happy to share info and help, even if we don’t work together! We’re not here to sell you anything, just to share what we know. Foley should be a place where everyone can thrive and that’s what we’re working toward. A little positivity goes a long way!

Foley is land locked. You need to maneuver between the regular horrendous traffic and the snowbirds. Costs a lot to park at a beach. Didn’t look. At the age of this video

You can drive to Fairhope, AL in less than 30 minutes and enjoy Mobile Bay with their free parking and fishing from their 300 foot long pier. Along the way, you can enjoy
      idyllic Magnolia Springs.
