I’ve been fully many times before, and I love it there! I haven’t been to forever 21, but I have been to Iowa, but I was too scared to get on the rides, but the track is very fun especially if you’re in for a little bit of a spook like I am, and I have to ride with a side of person because of not being able to see when I’m in the go cart and I can see a little bit, to make things safer I want to ride with someone that is sided so that way I can go in the go carts without worrying about ramming into everyone
The best thing about Foley is that it’s central to Pensacola, Mobile, Fairhope/Daphne, and Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Homes are priced a little lower. It’s relatively quiet but just 20-45 minutes to all the other places. Plenty of shopping for what you need, and the entertainment is mostly in the other towns nearby.
Yesss, I'm going to Al my birthday the weekend of Sept 10th & i'm so ready for the Tanger Outlet... looking for different places to visit w| my little family❤️
Thank you for this! I'm in East TX & my family and I are going to Foley in a couple of weeks for a much-needed vacation! So excited for the change of scenery and now we have some great ideas of where to go while we're there! :)
great video! looking to move down to foley in jan maybe sooner! just my dog and I. :) i will say, I love her hair in this video!! idk if she got it done before the video but as a hair person, I was blown away and reds my favorite color so I was like oh my goodness! lucky guy!!! great video again! woman has perfect hair and so much to do in foley! 1000% love this!
I am a Home Inspector in South Alabama and I have performed more inspections from people from out of state in 2021 than I have the whole time I have been a Home Inspector. I have so many clients from out of state, that I put up a video on my channel, letting them know what to expect when they move here.
Can you become home inspector by getting a Real Estate License first and NOT going into sales? Or just you go into some sort of sales first ? Thank you for your reply.
OWA is a really neat concept, but it was a ghost town every time we went by it. I think COVID is really hurting this new attraction. We LOVED our time in Foley! One of my favorite places we have been! We spent 2 months there. We stayed right down the road from the railroad museum and never made it inside, so thanks for sharing it! Drowsy Poet was our favorite!!! Did you check out Yabba Snack Shack??
Never heard of the Yabba Snack Shack! I guess we missed out! OWA definitely has some potential. If we hadn’t already planned to go to Lamberts for the sake of the video, we would definitely have eaten at Paula Deen’s, and that Hershey’s Ice Cream Parlor was calling our name, but we managed to be good.
@@AikenAdventures Yabba was in the downtown area. Right across the street from the train place and like a block from Drowsy Poet! :-) We went to the chocolate shop and spent way too much money lol but it was really good!
@@AikenAdventures I live in foley but I haven’t been to the copper kettle since I was like four I would tell y’all but I haven’t been there in a while but the train museum is my favorite I know they use to let people on to the trains and inside them I don’t know if they do it anymore but it was one of my favorite places when I was younger
@@AikenAdventures I have lived on the panhandle my whole life so it is a very fun place to live the wharf at orange beach is a really good place to visit to it has a bunch of shops and a Ferris wheel and it has a bunch of stuff for little kids
I’m not sure about that specific area, but you should be able to search online for a cost of living tool. There are some tools that let you put in your dollar amount for where you currently live and then put in a different zip code for comparison and it will tel you how much you need to make in that area by comparison.
So I just went to Pensacola to look for a home (Beulah near the new NFCU). Just found the same home by the same builder for 40k less in Foley. How does Pensacola and Foley compare (aside from state income tax)
I don’t know much about the cost of living difference between the two. There seems to be a lot of development taking place in Foley, Alabama, now, but I’m fairly certain that Pensacola is a much larger town.
@@AikenAdventures Financially I am not concerned about the differences. Moreso I wonder how the downtown area compares as Pensacola right now is a bit torn down from the storm from September. Also there is a big increase in the homeless population in Pensacola so I wonder if that is noticeable in Foley. I'll be going there in a few weeks and am just curious what you noticed as "tourists"
I didn’t notice any homeless in Foley, but we did see them in Pensacola, and I was surprised that there does seem to be an uptick in homelessness there as compared to when we lived there even 5 years ago. The downtown areas of Foley is much more of a small-town feel.

@plotagoner2335 The track is fun! We used to go there sometimes when I was in college not too far away.

You’re right. For this video, we just focused on Foley, but some time we do need to make a video exploring the surrounding areas.
Thanks for showing us what's in Foley. I've got to visit that Museum and waterpark now!
Very cool! Hope you enjoy! Keep us posted!

Next time we return, we’re going to have to check out the theme park!

Yes OWA is pretty new. I lived there most of my life 👌
It looks like it has potential to become a really great place. It’s off to a good start!
The Drowsy Poet coffee shop is also really new there
We weren’t sure how long it had been in Foley, but Alaina really loved it in Pensacola. Glad to see them expanding!

Right next to the Train Museum is the Copper Kettle. Surprised they didn't make it into your video.
Sounds interesting! Tell us more!
What’s the Copper Kettle like?

Most of this was shopping outlets and a restaurant. Nothing special about that. You've done Foley wrong.
What are some of your favorite things to do in Foley?
Seems yuppy 😂 no one goes to tj maxx
Going to TJ Maxx seems yuppy?

Do you mean that going to TJ Maxx seems yuppy or that it’s yuppy not to go to TJ Maxx?
