I have this gun in 30-06. I was lucky enough to randomly find it at Carter's Country on I-10 in Houston the day before deer season started in 2019. I was only in the store to purchase ammo and had no intention of buying a rifle. But as I was checking out, the light reflected through the window at just the right time and the maple tiger stripes on the gun captured my eyes attention. A few moments later, I was headed to deer camp with a new rifle and I can honestly say this is the most fun and accurate weapon I own. My preference has always been the Winchester Model 70 .243 for white tail and I still very much so love that gun. But the features on this updated rifle are something to consider (putting aside the difference in the stats of the caliber of the weapons). Very little recoil and one hell of a weapon. It is a bit flashy, but everyone wants to check it out.
I own the Browning Xbolt Medallion with the engraving everywhere, which I filled in with a gold kit. The end result is magnificent, and I can sit back and enjoy this fabulous fancy firearm at any time. Shoots like a dream as well. The old saying applies here..."when the price is forgotten, the quality lives on"..
Awesome! Happy you're enjoying! We're definitely just getting started and learning as we go! But we're very excited to be able to connect with our customers in a new fun way!
Have always love Browning shotguns and rifles...I have several. Just picked up the White Gold Medallion in 7mm-08, can't wait to get some time shooting it and what a beautiful gun, wow.
5:06 I'm lucky to own one in 257 Roberts but it's broken, hopefully I can find another Browning X bolt just like that one but in 30-06. Maybe I should try looking at a pawn shop
I have never shot such a spectacular firearm. I have the 6.5 Creedmore and it has almost zero recoil. The biggest problem is keeping onlookers away from your bench while you're trying to dial in the new scope at 50 yards. Seriously, this X-bolt gold medallion is in a class all it's own
Does Browning make the X-Bolt with the stainless octagon barrel in the black walnut stock? Or would Carter's Country be able to order it? I stopped by the other day and the associate said that y'all do receive the walnut stock with the stainless octagon barrel but I have not seen that model anywhere online. I just wanted to verify. I am trying really hard to find this exact stainless octagon barrel X-Bolt with the black walnut stock.
@@texteb absolutely! I personally own one in 6.5 Creedmoor and LOVE it. I've hit targets a mile out with that 22" barrel and the stainless steel octagon barrel is by far the easiest rifle I've ever cleaned 🤠👍
@@CartersCountry1 I have an A-Bolt Medallion. In .300 Win Mag. Problem 28” barrel is difficult. My everyday rifle is a Hell’s Canyon in 7mm-08. Awesome. But might want to replace that Medallion. Is a .300 WSM barrel shorter??
they seem to make more each year as popularity grows. but they're still hard to find. best time of year to find them would be end of year/early January.
@@CartersCountry1 I get alot of flack from my mates cause how pretty it is, and how I refuse to get it threaded for a can on the end, but it's truly a masterpiece and a bloody good tool.
Wow beautiful guns that a normal person has to save for months to be able to afford. Maybe spotlight some guns that the average person can afford typical Carter's country.
