I own this rifle as well, (also in 30-06), and it comes with a spring loaded stainless steel magazine cover and removable metal 5 round magazine. I've had it for 8 or 9 years and it's a great rifle to be sure!!
stumaclean111 The X bolt series haven't been out that long. This was the first or second year for this particular model (X Bolt White Gold) Do you maybe have the A Bolt?
Those are very beautiful guns also very rugged I have a friend that is very careless with his it's 15 plus years old an still looks very nice regardless of the terrible scratches an dings...
What's up Skid,I just bought my first rifle and it just so happened to be a X-Bolt white gold medallion 30-06! I was wondering if you could make a detailed video on how to clean this rifle! From bore, to wood stock finish, front to back and what products you use to clean them with would be awesome! Your videos are great !
Bought mine 3 weeks ago nice rifle, in 30.06 composite stalker in P&D in Edmonton put a Redfield 3x9x40 scope on it for the price all under 1000 was pretty surprise by the accuracy of that monster and the recoil pad make the job way easier really satisfied by the rifle
This is a great rifle here. But I love my Browning X-Bolt 270 WSM in Stainless Steel Stalker in Carbon Fiber. I had a Leupold VX-R scope mounted on it, n that rifle look hella nice n sweet... Knocked down a buck a while ago, with no issues at all... Browning, The Best There Is...
top of the line and gorgeous !!! im looking at the lefthand medallion X bolt maybe white gold if i can find one in a lefthand anyway .the mags are polymer and the best most reliable, and the stock is well protected in lacquer finish . all around well made gun im looking forward too mine thanks for the post.
So was that your first scratch on the gun at 1:44? Anyway nice rig hoping to pick up a blue model Medallion in .270 giving the micro a-bolt hunter to the daughter a little small for me but not bad with all the outer wear pushing the gun forward. One comment to your $1200-1400 bare gun it deserves better glass but that’s my think, have a great hunt for years to come.
Dude a little bit of advice, wonderful rifle you got there so when your pulling the bolt It wouldn't hurt to be a little more caring,it won't damage the guns action but over time you never know, great vid and that's a great first bolt action:)
I have that gun its amazing, well i got a remington 700 BDL and the browning X-bolt medallion and out of those two i pick the browning its by far the best gun, i was sighting in both guns this year and the remington was 1 1/2 inch groups at 200 yards and the browning i got it to 1/2 inch groups at 150 yards and 200yards i got it to 1 inch, by far the best gun is the browning and its a amazing gun. I got a leupold scope on my gun VX-II, btw all the groups were touching
Decent video - thanks for putting it out there for folks. Like any Newb, I learn from others and due to your vid and lots of research I too bought the exact same rifle today! What an absolute stunning " tool" it is. Now I need to match it up with a quality scope - more outlay of cash ( got rifle on sale - here in Southern Ontario Canada - Boxing day Sales 2015) $1500 Can - regular price! It's not cheap by any means but it's Quality.. in fact it's the "Best There Is" ... keep up those vids and thanks fellow Canuck :) - happy hunting
I wanted a good look at this gun and you did a great job showing it. Thanks. I'm trying to talk myself out of such a fancy/sexy rifle and into one of the stainless composite stock Brownings but I know, if I walk into a gun store and they have one of these the internal argument will be over real quick. %^)
awesome rifle, im getting an x-bolt stainless stalker in .308 (could take ages though, damn australian waiting periods, why cant we have awesome ammendments like the yanks?)
i have the browning xbolt only the composite model all i could afford shoots realy well, please if your going to buy a good gun top it off with a quality scope. xbolt .243 with schmidt and bender 8x56
All the gun companies and gun writers called them clips to the last 100 years , it's the tide pod eaters and basement babies now calling them Playboy magazines , even the gun Digest Magazine way back in 61 claimed clip was the acceptable term, so enough of the tide pod eater bs
@hondaboyaustin114 I like the bushnell scope that I bought, its durable and hasn't ever let me down. As for putting a great scope on..Those big expensive scopes are heavy and none that I've seen have a minimum of 1x. I need the 1x min due to the thick bush that i hunt in.
gorgeous rifle but id be to afraid to take it out for fear of scratching it lol btw u can buy a cover for it but it makes the rifle super chunky ! ive got the composite stalker xbolt in .308 and topped it with a 3x9x40 vortex diamondback u outta check them out great scopes
@poscbr600 well I had just spent $1600 on the gun, so sorry I didn't want to go out and buy an expensive scope..I had this one at home and it did the job. I have a new one now though.
sakaklovas I paid $1200.00 for mine at Cabela's in Winnipeg 8 or so years ago. The bolt on the rife shown here has the additional capability to open when the safety is on. Mine doesn't have that feature.
Just a warning to you don't think that gun will not rust because it's "stainless steel" I have an x bolt stainless stalker and did not wipe it down every time when it got wet because I thought it would not rust but it did so make sure you wipe it down and be carful
That's just surface rust caused by particles of metal that are not actually part of the gun, the stainless steel itself will not rust unless it's extremely low quality, which I doubt (at least you would hope it's not that low quality).
All the major gun companies and gun writers have called them clips for the last 100 years or so, even the 61 Gun Digest said that was a correct term, so go back into your basement with the rest of the tide pod eaters
Firstly this video is 7 years old. I was a kid who bought a really nice new gun and was excited about it. As a 16 year old I didn't have the disposable income like I do now to buy a $600+ scope for the gun that I had saved up for. I used one that I had. ABSOLUTLY NOTHING wrong with that, AT ALL, so go fuck yourself. Secondly, I'm not sure how you can decide I didn't know anything about guns from a 7 minute video. Once again you're wrong.
My hands were sweating just looking at it! Beautiful!

Has to be A bolt if you have the metal mag with floor plate!!! X bolt is the newer (cheeper) model they replaced the A bolt and A bolt ii with.
OMG that's gorgeous. Absolutely -love- the wood grain on it.
Beautiful gun with excellent balance
Those are very beautiful guns also very rugged I have a friend that is very careless with his it's 15 plus years old an still looks very nice regardless of the terrible scratches an dings...

Beautiful rifle! Wow.
Yes. You're right. Mine is the A Bolt... I missed that though it looks almost identical. Be safe and enjoy your beautiful rifle!!!
Wow, that is a good looking rifle. I was about to get myself a Rem 700. But after seeing your riffle Im thinking otherwise. Very nice.
top of the line and gorgeous !!! im looking at the lefthand medallion X bolt maybe white gold if i can find one in a lefthand anyway .the mags are polymer and the best most reliable, and the stock is well protected in lacquer finish . all around well made gun im looking forward too mine thanks for the post.

i have the browning xbolt only the composite model all i could afford shoots realy well, please if your going to buy a good gun top it off with a quality scope.
xbolt .243 with schmidt and bender 8x56
nice gun, just ordered the exact same one yesterday
Did you purchase the scope and the rifle together? Im guessing you had to order the rifle eh? And how much was it? (in Canada)
beautiful gun!!! now get a Leupold scope and complete the package because a gun like that deserves a better scope!!!
Is that a terrarium in your living room? You have any snails living in that thing?
stilldointime Lol no
nice rifle. it's not a clip by the way.
All the gun companies and gun writers called them clips to the last 100 years , it's the tide pod eaters and basement babies now calling them Playboy magazines , even the gun Digest Magazine way back in 61 claimed clip was the acceptable term, so enough of the tide pod eater bs

Beautiful! Thanks for the video :)
I use Bushnell scopes. I don't have that one on the gun anymore anyway, It was temporary.
Beautiful gun
From what i can tell from looking at the Browning website the Medallion is discontinued. Really sucks :(
Nice. How's the trigger? I've read that you need work done. Not a big deal though.
gorgeous rifle but id be to afraid to take it out for fear of scratching it lol btw u can buy a cover for it but it makes the rifle super chunky ! ive got the composite stalker xbolt in .308 and topped it with a 3x9x40 vortex diamondback u outta check them out great scopes

what kind of scope mounts and base doyou have
@redredrobinuk it's 4 with .308 im sorry it's only 5 round capacity with the .223
hats the s tock made of?
I'm envious!
Thank you for the video
Is the trigger adjustable?
How well does it group?
It groups very well, not sure on the trigger though.
How much did you pay for that gun?
Made in Japan?
That gun deserves a better scope! The Bushnell Trophy is ugly and cheep but I love the gun
@arthurneddysmith The trigger is fine, no problems with mine
Have to change out the springs if you want less than about 4 lbsl
@skidoomxz550x it was probably that you should've got a better scope.
i am pretty sure a gun is something that fires a projectile, it is a gun, a rifle is a type of gun
Oh yeah and the only diff is the engraving; the medallion says, well, medallion and WG just says White Gold.
@skidoomxz550x nice. thank-you
The ones from Browning that are made for this rifle
this is my rifle this is my gun this is for fighting this is for fun
I could only imagine the price
1300 bucks in Canada... not bad for what a nice god damn rifle it is.
True...true
sakaklovas I paid $1200.00 for mine at Cabela's in Winnipeg 8 or so years ago. The bolt on the rife shown here has the additional capability to open when the safety is on. Mine doesn't have that feature.
It's polymer.... Welcome to the 21st century. And it's a fucking magazine. Not a clip.
Woah, hey can someone pull the cactus out of this guys ass? He seems grumpy 😂😂
FIFA

@kookiemonster230 same i can sleep just shooting them there so comfortable to me
nice rifle. cheep ass scope
@apalmer58 You don't have to have both eyes open to be a experienced shooter...
its a magazine not a clip
anyone that says clip is obviously not educated enough to give a review on guns
Omfg Cody I've been telling people for years that
Thats a bushnell there eagle eye...
@eddyage good review though
I own a 7mm magnum
gun, rifle...same thing
That's a magazine bud..
@keabler77 Canada
MATHiAS
American's and their "clips". It's a box magazine.
Take that Tasco back to Walmart and get something that should go with the gun
got the same RIFLE with a lepold and awsome RIFLE . not a gunnnnnnnnnnnn lol
q@$~⊙○° Matthias in Assen
Watching to many liberal democrats on tv calling the mag a clip.
All the major gun companies and gun writers have called them clips for the last 100 years or so, even the 61 Gun Digest said that was a correct term, so go back into your basement with the rest of the tide pod eaters
"gun"..."clip" *facepalm*
who gives a shit...
Review a $1200 rifle and put a $100 scope on It. Real smart, plus Kid doesn't know much about guns period. Keep to the xbox reviews.
