- It may sound surprising, but Chile is home to the largest Palestinian community outside of the Middle East.
It is also one of the few countries that in recent years has given citizenship to Palestinians from Middle Eastern refugee camps.

When Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria aka the West Bank for 20 years, the Palestinian refugees living there got Jordanian citizenship until their great Arab leaders decided for political reasons to revoke their citizenship and make them refugees again.

Since I was a child, I have always felt so much love for the Palestinian people. And as a Chilean, I can say that they are very kind and educated people.
They have also been one of the few foreign communities in Chile that have managed to adapt to our country without abandoning their culture. It is for that reason and more, that we, as Chileans, have so much appreciation for Palestine. #freepalestine

We are a generous people and welcome those who migrate, but ONLY if they come to contribute to Chile and not come here to cause problems, like so many Caribbean immigrants.
