I was going to get the Yildiz Wildfowler as i wanted at 3 1/2 inch over under. 2 Issues why i did not get it was lack of a lefty model and the second was yildiz own choke pattern limits aftermarket chokes designed for steel like kicks high flyer / briley / pattern master ect. So i bought a standard lefty ATA sp game 3in chambered gun and had a gunsmith cut the chambers to 3 1/2 and sent it for reproof. My home loads 39g steel shells loaded to american specs are doing 1650fps in that gun choked with 3/4 briley extended tubes will smash big canada geese with authority out to 60 yards. The uk still has so much to learn about shooting steel and could do with ditching CIP steel velocity limits.
I looked hard at one of these but ended up getting the limited edition B525 with 3.5" chambers. It was over twice the price but I felt it was worth it as I could use one gun for clays, game and wildfowling. It had it's first outing on geese this weekend and the Browning inflex recoil pad handled 42g BB's with no bother at all - much nicer than the Lincoln that I traded in for it.
The 3.5 inch chamber doesn't cope well with standard 2.75 inch fibre carts in my experience. As and when I buy another gun for fowling I'd probably get a 3 inch 12 bore and save the 3.5 cartridge for the 10 bore.
Yildiz is making some serious strides in the market. The pro is a great gun and same price as a silver pig, now this- is hard to beat for 800£. Obviously they have no shortage of nice blanks as they supply many other makers
Patterning would be interesting with having 3.5 chambers they do say having longer forcing cones make a difference but what effect does having the wrong size chamber have I have wandered
Jonny - how would you feel about a Yildiz MX Trap or MX Clays (based on the SPZ, not the Pro) vs an ATA SP Sporting? Over here, we can get the Yildiz MX in the form of the HPS Sporting from Academy, and Weatherby sells the ATA as their Orion Sporting. I'm wondering how the two actions will stand up to the higher round counts from target shooting.
There's no real ballistic advantage to the 10 bore over the 12 bore, the advantage of the 10 bore is you get a properly scaled action for the heavier cartridges. Shooting 1-3/8 oz. of shot in a 7 pound 3-1/2" 12 bore is a rather unpleasant experience, but that same 1-3/8 oz. charge in a 9.75 pound 10 bore is much more manageable. That's why I shoot a Browning Gold-10, I am simply faster with it shooting those heavy cartridges than I am with the lighter 12 bores.
You want to feel payload put some 3 and 1/2 inch Dead Coyote Hevi-shot. It is T shot, 1 5/8 ounces, Tungsten. That'll rattle your teeth even through a good Auto Beretta.
Using a Firearms certificate (a shotgun that holds more than 3 cartridges) shotguns is illegal and the large majority of private estate run game shoots will turn away shooting guests that use section 2 semi and pump actions.
Would love to see a review on the yildiz steel proof sxs gun !

I have a Yildiz TS870 3 1/2 inch and it’s pretty decent. One of the hardiest guns made by brands has to be from Yildiz
Hello. nice gun and good presentation. can you do a full review of the YILDIZ MX TRAP please.

You could use the yildiz for everything aswell easily

Do a field test please, 2" up to 3.5" 👍

@@dave_724 would be interesting to see
Please test the side by side waterfowler version in 12 gauge 3.5 "
Good review , I didn’t catch how much it Weighs though. Thanks
Only thing bettter than 2 shots is 3!. Next up the Turkish Akkar Mamut 3.5" water fowler.
How about a comparison between browning 725 sporting and Caesar Guerini summit sporting.

Looks like it could do with a bit more recoil pad.
That is a fact - imagine a 63gr in each double discharging!
You know I'm tired of being average height and my back is just too straight. I really should get a break action 3.5" 12 gauge for high birds.
Hi Johnny, is the Yildiz Wildflower based on the old perazzi SC1? It does look very similar.
I love the case colour hardening. Are there any other sub £1000 over and unders with the same finish that are a bit more clay orientated?
I dig the weed plant in the corner Johnny 👍
Looks like a old lanber field deluxe !
2 inch no1s give me a a headache ... I'd end up with a aneurysm with those scud missiles !
Thanks for the nice video!
Would a Remington SP 10ga reach out better than a 12ga 3.5"?

Do you know when the new 686 silver pigeon I sporting is being released?
You could just catch the empty shells, just a thought ? Great vid
Any chance of a comparison between say a new Yildiz steel action v's old Miroku 7000? Sub £1k first gun for field & clays...
When are you going to review the 686 sp 1 Sporter?
Who put you in jail, my friend? :)
You are a good guy
Nice Jonny - and interesting review 😍😍
I’ve shot 3 1/2s out of my cynergy with that giant recoil pad and it’s ok. Can’t imagine with that 1in piece of rubber on the back
Yeah, those factory Yildiz SPZ pads are just a smidge softer than the tread on an auto tire.
How would I go about getting one here in the US?
It was best if it was a ranch and you did shooting.💕💕💕
Beautiful gun! Probably hurts more to be behind it than in front of it with 3.5” loads though.
The gun is pretty heavy, recoil is actually very manageable.
You want to feel payload put some 3 and 1/2 inch Dead Coyote Hevi-shot. It is T shot, 1 5/8 ounces, Tungsten. That'll rattle your teeth even through a good Auto Beretta.
Superior steel proof?
It’s got better wood and finish then my SP1
Do you have any of these in stock ?
Nice gun.
How can i decock double barrel shotgun? (Internal hammer)
By pulling the trigger on an empty chamber/snap caps.
@@mrsmith9079 is that the only method to decock ? Thanks in advance
@@kennymarto1316 - Realistically yes, as far as I know.
Best Turkish Gun is YIldIz ,Akus and Huglu
Does anybody know what weight the gun is
Very good
Forget steel. Federal Premium TSS is the way to go.
I can't be the only one who catches my ejected shells after shooting.
Few more minor improvements and there good guns will go to great.
I'll take your entire stock!
I HAD 1 piece of scrap . breaking firing pins and springs
Why can't you use a semi-auto for shooting game?
Using a Firearms certificate (a shotgun that holds more than 3 cartridges) shotguns is illegal and the large majority of private estate run game shoots will turn away shooting guests that use section 2 semi and pump actions.
@@HJDore sorry to hear that but thanks for the info.
You can use a 2+1 semi automatic by law but it's forbidden in virtually all driven game shoots, mostly due to snobbery.
Could you shoot buck shot with this gun
Of course
@@tgsoutdoors cool
You do some good reviews man keep it up
Ha ha Mc'ers out of the window lol... gu lad Jonny
I can make some seriously fun cartridges for that gun!!
I’ll see if I can get a demo
65gram no8 ideal clay load 😆🤣
@@dave_724 I can do 80 grams of 8
Good night!!!!!! It will be a donkey show.
