  • Hello Sports Fans, this is a short video I made on fiting a cheep EBay/Amazoncentral locking system on to my Jimny. I’m not a mechanic, I’m just a normal guy so I’ve made it as simple as possible to understand. You can use this as a guide for your Jimny or any vehicle you are fitting it to.
Tap into the central locking wires on your car but don’t break the circuit. (On a Jimny, Lock is Brown and White . Unlock is Blue and Red). Add a good Earth to each wire separately, see if this locks and then unlocks your car. This is a “NEGATIVE LOCKING SYSTEM” (This is the system the Jimny uses). If this doesn’t work add a +12v feed to them to see if it unlocks. This is a “POSITIVE LOCKING SYSTEM”.
TOP TIP! If you join the Lock, Unlock wires together on a button the they will Earth themselves and lock and then unlock the vehicle. You can use this as an extra lock button if you wish.
    Hope this helped.

Hi Gary, you could use a relay to switch an earth for the hazard to flash? Brings back memories of fitting a similar kit to my MK1 mr2 20years ago. When TH-cam monetise’s this channel I hope to pull it out the garage to create some content.

Did you find a way of getting the indicators to work?
