Agreed, Sweet potatoes grow well and faster in hot weather but you need to water them. Grow them from slips. Let them grow to the end of the season and you will have great production. My basil also grows well in hot times if it gets some water. My hot peppers have also picked up and I will see what their level of production is.
I have had a hard time finding them, though I’ve heard a few nurseries carry them, I usually make my own! Check out my videos on sweet potatoes! The best method I have found is planting the potatoes (whole) in a pit filled with dirt - this works best when it’s warm out. Happy gardening!
All the years of growing Malabar spinach, other than a bite of a leaf, I have never wanted to eat it. But also can't get rid of it. So I pretend it is ornamental.
