I have planted amaranth love lies bleeding and they are beasts . 2 inch thick stalks and huge. I’m in the desert 9b. I planted one in a big barrel. 30 days ago it was about 1 foot high and now it looks like a small tree. Crazy!

It's been so damn cold this year, can still grow cold season crops. I'm in 9b/10a Central Coast and it's been ~15+ degrees cooler all spring. Warmest day was 2 months ago. Low 60s with occasional mid 70s when normally it's mid 70s to perhaps low 90s. It's a huge difference compared to last year. Garden is about 2 months behind vs last year. I planted tomatoes early expecting similar temps as last year and only now getting a few tomatoes ripening - vines 3' tall.

I have 5 dwarf tomatoes from you guys that look beautiful & have lots of blooms, but no fruit. My cherry tomatoes are already producing (also from you). I really wanted to come down to your tomato class last Saturday, but had out of state guests.

My fall tomatoes have just sprouted, and I've taken a couple of suckers off my spring tomatoes to add to the seedlings. Here in the Bay Area 10a I can grow those late-planted tomatoes into January although those won't all ripen. But that's OK! Green tomatoes wedges are my current favorite fermented pickle and they make a killer chutney for canning.

Thanks for this video. I got my garden really going maybe 1.5-2 months ago, and I’m wanting to make it bigger but it seems late in the season. I live in south Louisiana where it is HOT, and our winters are a joke. So maybe I can keep adding to the garden and it’ll be fine lol.

The first time I planted or started my gardening it was a success now the temperature changed I could hardly get anything, maybe I don’t fertilize that much or my soil isn’t that great, the pollinators aren’t around but I have lots of birds eating my fruit trees 😊 I have now bought my tomatoes from a nursery instead of starting my seeds. Now I’m trying to germinate my passion and lemon watermelon and I direct sow my winged beans after soaking it but no germination yet 😔 last year it germinate this was from baker creek. It is hard people I’m in zone 9. But what I got this year was my sweet peas they were abundant and I gave some away also and a few yellow squash. Tomatoes aren’t doing so good I will start my sungold tomato but I’m not so excited. Knowing the heat wave will come. I’m just hoping it will just here for a few weeks then gone. Right now it’s nice in the 80-90. I’m still going to have my collards and kale planted directly, my beets is taking time to grow and my carrots not so much. It’s just need something.should I give some fertilizer so it will grow? Thanks for this tips and hope you Have a nice day 🙏🏻😊👩‍🌾♥️

Thank you for your videos i live in Houston Texas and i got a huge surprise last month i thought i was growing watermelons last month but then they started turning orange and i realized they were pumpkins so now it's July and im stuck with 5 large pumpkins that i have absolutely no idea wth to do with so many pumpkins in July! Any idea's? I don't even remember planting any pumpkin seeds i think it had to come from our Holloween pumkin that i composted and then i used the compost to put over some watermelon seeds that i planted and i guess one of the seeds from the pumpkin survived the composting! 😅

I am in zone 10 a new to Fort Meyers Florida so I have to relearn what I already knew about planting but a different zone. This is very helpful. I haven’t started anything from seed yet. Is it too late? It’s very humid here and hot. We are getting ready to go into rainy season. I grew successfully in Pennsylvania and upstate New York. But this zone has taken me for a loop. Because I live on a golf course, I can only grow in containers under my lanai. Where I won’t have exposure to bees. I welcome any advice. Thank you so much! Happy growing.😊
