      Too hot to handle, for mold rubber that is. Sand casting or ceramic shell would be the way to go for aluminium and bronze.

    Can you let the rubber cure and proceed the next day instead of working for 12 hours straight?

      Althoight ypu could let the rubber cure and then resume the next day. It is best to allow the material to fully cure in one continuous process.

      we used to do that at the foundry, we would usually wipe the rubber with Isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry and apply more layers.
