I have a 16.5cm wrist and 36-38mm is my usual sweet spot but I recently got a 34mm OP and I’m loving the smaller size and proportions and just overall comfort. I’m glad smaller watches are making a comeback! One of my most-worn watches when I first got into the hobby was a fashion watch in 34mm so it feels like I’ve come full circle in a way; would love to see a video with even smaller case sizes!
Loving this series. Put my vote in for 36mm... I'm starting to appreciate the more subdued under-the-radar nature of this size and would love to get some ideas of what else is out there. So far I've owned the Lorier Falcon and Longines Conquest VHP in 36mm.
The Zenith Chronomaster is one of those watches that took me totally by surprise. I checked one out at an AD in Las Vegas, and it simply blew my mind. The size, the subtlety of the registers, the unbelievable finishing of the movement, the 10th second chronograph hand--all of these things conspired to make me fall in love. This watch is now near the top of my list. Thanks for the great suggestions, Teddy.
Ngl I legit checked 5 times the last hr hoping their would be a new video and here it is. Always a refreshing experience to my day, I also want to thank you for helping me get my first swiss from Tissot the Visodate powermatic a few weeks back. Its a beautiful timepiece and suits my wrist well given its 42mm sizing. Keep the work you are helping more people explore the true side and enthusiasm behind watch collecting.
Really interesting Vid Teddy, as i have a small wrist around 6.25 i have always chosen watches around the 39mm to a max of 41mm( depending on the lug to lug being less than 49mm) . Recently purchased a Tudor Black bay 36 with silver dial and love the way its looks and feels on the wrist, would like to see a vid on 36 mm options
Great roundup. From Hamilton I recently got the h76205530 Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer in 38mm and cannot stop to look at this amazing dial and admire the build quality. Love it.
I recently acquired my grail watch, which is a 36mm Explorer 124270. I have a 6 3/4" wrist, so I thought I would struggle with the size. My larger watches sensitized me to smaller cases, but I absolutely love this thing and now many of my watches feel too big. I'd like to see a vid like this on 36mm's. I know with some collectors, 38mm seems to be this unspoken minimum size for men's watches, but I'm really digging smaller watches now. Not sure where my collecting will take me next, but I suspect I'm gonna avoid anything larger than 40mm....that is unless I pull the trigger on a Speedy.
For solar watches you usually go for Citizen but not sure if they have any models in that specific size/style. I have wanted a solar watch for a long time but cannot decide between them, Casio has some nice ones as well.
This video was very useful. 38 mm is my favourite case size and you've provided some great options in all the categories. I was particularly pleased to see the Oris Cervo Volante on the list as hopefully it will be my next watch.
Teddy you have helped me confirm that 36mm to 38mm is perfect size. And I’ve experimented with even smaller (ex Tissot rock watch) and enjoy the smaller watches.
It’s cool as hell that the smaller fellas can wear awesome watches that fit their wrists and their tastes but Teddy, holler at me if you want a big guy’s opinion. I’m 6’4”, I weigh 240-250 (depending on the breakfast my beautiful wife starts my day with) and my wrists are almost exactly 8”. My stature closes me off to some sick watches and I kind of live vicariously through your videos and Ben’s Watch Club videos (I’ll pay my way to be there if you two ever collaborate because there’s no way that you and Ben wouldn’t be best friends right off the bat!). Teddy i’ll never admit how many hours i’ve spent watching your videos but i’m happy to admit how much you’ve helped me to appreciate the art of watches. Lastly, come on down here to Texas and I’ll show you around. We have some pretty cool horological history, believe it or not!
37mm would be interesting as there's few around in that size these days, I also think we're trending back to smaller case sizes for gents so it would be an interesting vid!
Teddy, can you make a video of the most colorful watches but for the office? I'm an architect and I'm thinking of Nomos Club Campus Pink or Brew Metric or some Louis Errand... Thanks! I love the videos
Great video Teddy! 38 mm is such a wearable size for me. I’ve been eyeing the Orient Bambino but the larger case size was holding me back from purchasing it. Now that it’s available in 38mm I’ll definitely be buying one asap!
Every time I see a new Teddy video coming out, I wonder about all the content you're able to put out based on what is, frankly, a slowly changing marketplace. There aren't new releases every week, so by necessity you might wind up covering the same ground more than once. The subjects of the video can't help but be a little bit contrived, but they always seem to be good contrivances. Watches of a certain size/style/price range, etc..... Particular ones might not be of great interest to me, but they clearly could be to some people. While I might not always be turned on by the title of the video, I always watch, and I always enjoy.
I love these long videos! I’d of course love to see more micro brands as well as other models in the bigger brands, but I think what I’m asking is for just more videos 😅. Love your channel Teddy! Keep up the good work :)
Great content as always, but would have been better if the Certina DS Action Diver in 38mm was included in the dive watch category, plus the Hamilton Pilot Pioneer in 38mm for the aviation category. Both are solid choices and gives awesome value for money! :)
I enjoyed this series and your suggestions. As far as suggestions for upcoming videos in the series, I have two: 1. 36MM for men. Watches in the 1950's and 1960's were 36 MM for men, plus in today's market, 36MM offers great value. I have a 6.5" wrist, and am not sure if 36MM is too small or not. Plus what is the resale value 5 or 10 years from now? 2. Green dial watches in different price segments, say up to $1,000, 1-$5,000, and $5-10,000.
A great series Teddy, I have to agree with the Longines sector dial, a stunning piece. The Hamilton Field mechanical is very hard to beat as well. The Cotton Candy bronze Diver 65 looks brilliant in the flesh but I don't think I could not carry it off at my age..... so my sister bought it and she loves it. Yes it's probably my fault she's purchased more mechanical watches in the last few years than before. Keep up the great work Teddy.
Really appreciate the knowledge you share,it has helped me on a few occasions.Thankyou, we cannot control or touch time but we can build amazing mechanical pieces of art to help us.
That Titanium Hamilton Khaki Field is simply superb. Could easily be my "one and done", but I'm not that kinda guy. After selling my Field Mechanical, which I deeply regret, this will definitely be an amazing addition to my collection.
This was a great video. When considering whether or not to add a watch to my "list", one of the top two or three considerations is the size. Thanks Teddy. Cleveland rocks!
Just got a Khaki Field Auto on the SS bracelet from you guys! Killer customer service, quick and easy checkout and shipping. Watch is absolutely stunning in person. I am in love with this dial and bracelet. thanks Teddy
38 is an excellent size, congrats for the idea, a truly good selection, but how about 36 or 37? i think that would be even more interesting, bringing in some vintage vibes...
At 6:13, the Timex Q, what is this bracelet style called? It's Jubilee in basic architecture, but Engineer in it's complexity. It's got to have a name. Would it be President?
I have pivoted into collecting 38mm open case back watches rather than just whatever tickles my fancy scrolling through eBay or Reddit. I have found some actual direction so much more satisfying.
Funny on the timing of this video. Just got my Hamilton Kkaki with the H-50 yesterday. I Anyway, I go to wind it and it's really stiff and on top of the normal ratcheting sound when winding, it's also 'clicking' a bit. Huh. I stop winding and pull the crown out to set the time and when I push the crown back in, winding is smooth with just the ratcheting as you wind sound. Fast forward a bit and I take the watch off, go to work and when I get back home, I go to turn the Hamilton's winding a few times and again it's stiff and 'clicky' on top of the winding just like it was out of the box. The same as earlier, I pull the crown out. push it in and winding is smooth. Swiss watch quality my rump. I read MANY reports of this movement having issues and many being DOA right out of the box before buying but put that down to yeah, the occasional one will be DOA and then also take into account that many will just hamfist wind the thing like a gorilla and blow right past the fully wound stop. This overhyped piece of junk is going back tomorrow first thing. The fact that they keep pushing out this defective movement will keep me away from buying another Hamilton ever.
The Zenith Chronomaster Original is probably my favorite on this list. I know the CMS is the most hype Zenith right now, but after handling both I personally prefer the Original in virtually every way.
thanks! As a Chinese, to be honest, I personally prefer Swiss made, but I am also very happy that someone noticed this Seagull, it is honestly really beautiful, I hope there will be more reliable Chinese watches in the future.
Let’s see 41mm next. These were all great 38mm selections though. I would happily own many of them. Also, I didn’t realize the Zenith was that thin. That is very intriguing. 🤔
Nice video. I have two of the watches you included. The Christopher Ward Trident Pro 600, and the Seagull. I regard the Trident as perfection, for me, but reckon the new 300 will be perfection+. And then there’s the Seagull. I simply see that as a little bit special. Works great (almost dressy) on a simple, black leather strap.
I loved this type of content, as I tend to prefer 38-40 mm case sizes for my wrist, which is on the smaller side of 7 inches (6and 7/8 perhaps). The variety in price points and designs is quite thorough. Thanks Teddy!
I enjoy your videos and feedback which has guided me in my collection. I gotta ask what do you like about that Sinn? It’s so plain. Too plain. I’d take the alpine at all day and twice on Sunday! All love!
I'd like to add more 38mm watches to this video. 1. Field & aviation Breitling Navitimer 38 Hamilton Aviation Pioneer 38 Christopher Ward Sandhurst 4. Dive Certina DS Action Diver 38
Please kindly recommend me a modern brand with vintage inspired. My favorite taste is Longines Conquest Heritage & Nivada Grenchen Antartic, both are 35cm. My wrist is 15cm
Digging smaller sizes at the moment. Please do a list for 36mm
2nd this

Appreciate the kind comment my friend! If these style of videos continue to do well we can continue the series and hit your sweet spot of 42mm.

Glad to see the seiko solar divers get a mention. Been loving mine, so thin and comfortable.

@@GreySectoid the citizen eco drives are great but much bigger. The casio oceanus are very good; just go with what you like :)

36 next!! Great series
‘Seagull came and swooped in’
Like that Teddy. Thanks for the content.
Oris watches on this list are really eye-catching and definitely adding to my watchlist
Great video, I would love to see a video comparing the Speedmaster options. moonwatch, racing, reduced, 38mm etc.
Love my Speedmaster 38. Very high quality. Was initially concerned about the thickness, but it wasnt a factor in person, the design works well.
This is the video I’ve been waiting for!
I have been waiting for this. My brother has a small wrist and I'm trying to surprise him hehe!
38mm is my sweet spot. Thanks so much for this video. Smaller watch sizes are becoming more popular which I love
Very curious if you ever going to cover more of the Sinn catalogues!

Got the oris big crown cervo volante blue dial, it's really gorgeous day to day watch
I like your videos so much! Your taste is sooo spot on.
If I may, I would add the Planet Ocean 38.5mm in the diver's section.
Great video Teddy... pick any size...even 36mm. You're production is wonderful, details awesome and your stream of consciousness is the best!
Keep this format coming, 40mm next, please!
I wish Hamilton made a Khaki Field titanium blue dial in 38mm. That would just be... *Chef's kiss*
37mm would be interesting as there's few around in that size these days, I also think we're trending back to smaller case sizes for gents so it would be an interesting vid!

Maybe the word I'm looking for is Fun Watches
Will have to think about the title and positioning but there is something there!
Can I recommend the Ball Marvelight? A little bit dressy, interesting pops of colour via the tritium indices, nice size, chronometer movement.
The recently launched Sinn 556 color dials?
I love the view of your window.
Some very solid choices, Teddy. Well done!
Great video Teddy! 38 mm is such a wearable size for me. I’ve been eyeing the Orient Bambino but the larger case size was holding me back from purchasing it. Now that it’s available in 38mm I’ll definitely be buying one asap!
I think you can't finding steel 36 mm
Great series idea and even better execution as usual.
I’m also gonna put one in for team 36!
41mm is about the largest I can pull off, so this video is a good one for me

Hamilton khaki Field Murph 38mm is at the top of my list now. It is a really sharp piece.
Wow, love so many in this selection ❤
Great video as always! Would love to see a video on gold tone watches recommendation for 2022!
Fun vid. Now I’m eyeing those seiko solar divers! How about a 36mm video next?
Hi Teddy, can u make video about your personal watch collection? Thanks
A video made for me!! Thank you!

thanks could u also do lug to lug lengths? too long lug to lug even if smaller dial kills it for smaller wrists
Great video!! Keep them coming
Great video looking at watches I can actually wear!!!
Struggling to find any retailer of the Titanium Hamilton Khaki like the one in the middle at 5:33 - any advice to find it much appreciated.

Great series, thanks for the content!
Can't wait for the 34 mm episode

Would love your thoughts on the 38mm Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pioneer. Been saving up for a few months and hope to get it later this year!
