Actually, BRTs sprout realy good by seed. You just gotta break its dormancy by making a little cut into the har part of the seed, so the moisture can get deep into it. Here in brazil we get about 80%+ success sprout rate.

I get seed pods on my BRT. It's an air layer so I'm not sure the age. My tree is young as far as how long it's been on its own. Maybe 2yrs. Thanks for the content!

I do air layers with BRTs when they are tiny sometimes because my success rate with cuttings is low. I’ve done it several times but % wise not as good as any other species.
Very informative video on rain tree...Jerome the new growth on my raintree at the apex is pale yellow and the growth below the apex is green.what could be reason?
Ordered a pot of BRT's on ebay last december, they are very healthy growing beautifully, my question is have you ever done a forest planting with this species?

I put 3 seeds in water last night and they have sprouted roots already. Got to brake the shell. (scarify)
Hi Jerome, this is good info! Question regarding my BRT, I subscribed to your bootcamp and defoliated due to dropping leaves but I did not do it prior to repotting. I'm in southwest Florida and it's been hot very early so I thought it was ok but the tree hasn't recovered yet. Any suggestions to get it back to good health? Thanks for your knowledge!

You need to know the pithecellobium dumosum! Much better than pithecellobium tortum.
