- Today's adventure takes us to Midlothian, Illinois and one of the most haunted cemeteries in America, Bachelor's Grove Cemetery. My intent was to show that Bachelor's Grove was no different than the other abandoned cemeteries I've visited. The cemetery had other thoughts and proved me wrong. I had equipment malfunction and also heard a voice which I captured on the digital audio recorder. So join me as I explore the haunted Bachelor's Grove Cemetery.
I went to this cemetery 20 yrs ago at night. It's definitely scary. It was nothing visual but the feeling of being watched and anger. The feeling of unwelcomed was overwhelming. Daytime just felt utter sadness. They've definitely cleaned it up as it was severely neglected and overgrowth. It looked like a jungle. Their were beer cans, used condoms, firework garbage, food rappers, candles, pentagram graffiti, just horrible desecration. Glad it's cleaned up
They did a great job cleaning it up. It's too bad many of the headstones were destroyed.
Its all in your head
I recently subscribed to your channel. So glad I found your channel. Such interesting cemeteries/graveyards that you show. Thank you for going to these places. Loved the intro, lol.
Thanks for subscribing! Hope you enjoy the channel.
I was there filming a rock video clip ten years ago (i know, i know.. we did have permission) and it was in much worse condition with beer cans and garbage strewn all over the place.
This decrepit cemetery is a reflection of our society.
New subscriber. Great channel! I think this channel will gain traction in due time. You have quality material
Hello Bryan - My sister informed me, and turned me on, to your TH-cam channel. I’m hooked!! I give you a lot of credit! Not only do you do your research and check your background information, BUT, your take the extra step and personally visit these sites! This adds a lot of credibility to your documentary. However, I love the gentle mix of the rumors and lore. Adds to the scare factor! I have not seen a lot of new material on the web as of late...so please keep up the good work. My family and I look forward to each new adventure from the Middle Aged Bald Guy. ;)

Hey Bryan! My name is Lenny. I live in Palatine and am quite the Cemetery Enthusiast as well. Right when pandemic started, I did several Photo exposes on Facebook, of Mt Carmel, The Grove and Oak lawn, home of Showmen s rest.I would love to travel with you sometime. As I look at you, I believe we are contemporaneous in age. I am a history buff and a goth metal guy, I would love to travel with you sometime, Best, Lenny
Hi , good video. I have acute hearing range. I didn’t hear anything that I could make out. I did hear the sound. Good to see that at least the grounds do not look trashy.
At about 14:27 when you say "nothing strange" and pan right, it looks like some sort of orange flash or ball of light is quickly visible by the fence line
That's interesting! I thought at first it was a bug but, you're right, it was definitely a flash of light.
@@MiddleAgedBaldGuy i thought i was crazy until i played it back several times. Awesome channel by the way 👍
Ty for showing place i never knew about.I love wandering cemantary they all hold history..even better if have history info..great job
Like you said, the cemetery doesn´t look creepy at all. It reminds me on a park with some (not so old) tombstones. Thank you for sharing your visit with us! It would be nice, if it would be renovated. You do a great job with your videos. Many thanks!
Thank you!
Two years ago when I visited, I actually heard voices as well and it's really interesting that it was in the same area that you did. I'm sure it's just people on the trails but I didn't actually see anyone either. Other than this it too was very quiet there. Great content and info Bryan!
Jesus love you
At about 29:19 there’s a light move left to right on the left side of you, close to the ground. It kind of just appears and vanishes. Could be a bug but it just reminded me of something I saw on the trail when I was there once around 2006 walking out.
Thanks, I'll have to check it out.
Interesting stuff. I enjoyed talk and video.
Thanks!
Congratulations, you provided some correct historical information! This is hard to find in most videos about The Grove these days. Some facts about the old road could use some fine tuning, but is still useful. You provided a fair outlook on some of the paranormal stories, although the pond stories about Al Capone mafia stuff and the Horse and Plow drowning are not true. Perhaps I'll do a follow-up video some time about your visit and even give some input as to your technical malfunction issues ;)
I believe he just stated those stories about Capone & the Horse & Plow as popular stories heard. He did also say they were not true.
I'll give you some input on the technical difficulties- my only paranormal experience at Bachelors happened on that same path in the woods, not the cemetary. During the day. So I wouldn't be surprised if those weren't technical difficulties....
Could you repeat the part about the turnpike becoming 123 street? That really had me sitting on the edge of my seat.
Ron Carlson from Faces Of The Forgotten you tube channel explored the same cemetery.
You popped up in my feed, the name cracked me up...so here I am.
Hope you enjoy the channel!
The grounds are surprisingly clean this year I'm impressed. The sad part about that cemetery is that the headstones aren't actually by their correct graves. Ignorant people man. Great video! Also Capone's "dumping spot" is actually the stream past the cemetery not that lagoon if I remember correctly.
You're right. The headstones are scattered all over and probably not near the correct graves.
The last time I went there, about 8 years ago there a guy who came in on a bike and started stealing peoples gifts/offerings that were left for the infant child. He claimed he was a grounds keeper(he had no equipment) and he was taking money specifically
I know exactly who you are talking about. The guy is a little off.
At 22:53...was there something carved on the tree ?
I didn't notice it when I was filming but, yes, someone spray painted a pentagram on the tree.
Well I heard some evps in this, some are kind of faint and some are on top of your voice so I can't tell what those ones say but the ones I can hear well are these. None of the voices are residual.
4:27-4:28 guy says "Wonderful cemetery"
12:49-12:50 guy said "Nothin final"
You said you heard voices and you did. A lady said "Yeah! I want to still look for it." at 16:52-16:55. evp?
17:23-17:24 lady yells "The highway!"
When you replayed the voice at 19:10-19:11 a female asks "Were we hugging?" creepy evp.
26:39-26:41 on the trail a lady said "Left me, over here"
28:36 creepy guy says "Hows it been!"
You said there was a bachelors grove community and it’s not there anymore? Like there used to houses in the woods that they took down?
Yes, what now is Forest Preserve and trees used to be farm land with some homesteads. Check out bachelorsgrove.com. There's a lot of information there. I plan to go back soon and find the remains of the homes.
Draining batteries not uncommon in haunted areas!👻👻👻👻👻
New subscriber here from PH, I'm so interested with cemeteries around the world.
Welcome! Hope you enjoy the channel.
That was a good evil laugh lmao
Nice tour, thank you 😊 Very peaceful except the bugs and the loss of blood 😂 Sorry don’t mean to make fun of your misery but you are funny.
Thanks!
I got the best evidence at Bachelor's Grove I got electronic voice phenomenon clear as day traffic really doesn't bug you as long as you have a great recorder I got a little girl asking me to play She also said hello pretty awesome place I go there every other weekend
That awesome! It's really a shame how many children died of disease back in the 1800's. There are many children in Bachelor's Grove. A young girl by the name of Caroline Cool died just 2 days after her 4th birthday. It could have been her that you heard.
I'm actually going back this Thursday I'm going to call her name out and see if she'll answer thanks for the extra info I will share anything I get with you
After scream I heard "Get in"
Thought I was watching Billy Madison for a second 😂
LOL! I replied to myself! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Great channel 👍
Thank you 👍
Hope you get to the East Coast sometime! Lots of great places to check out! New England and also PA, MD and VA; Gettysburg Pennsylvania and Antietam Battlefield and Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Maryland if you are into Civil War history! 👍👍👍👻👻👻🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Cash Town Inn is a great place! Good food too! Just outside of Gettysburg! They have a funny sign in the restaurant. Dogs allowed, people tolerated! Ghost Hunters did an interesting investigation there! HQ for General Lee and served as a Field Hospital after the South was defeated July 3, 1863!
I think it said. “Over here…”
That would make sense because I was hearing voices from different parts of the cemetery. I may have to go back and do a Halloween video.
So sad people have the idiot need to destroy the memory of loved ones
Even if nobody is left of the family, keep your hands of those graves
About 20yrs ago i had a flip phone i was just taking pictures well a few days go by i forgot i took pictures out of nowhere a image of a house with two people standing it freek me out i showed it to a few people and deleted it
And that's the honest truth
A lot of these things u mentioned may happen after dark
You're probably right. I would like to go out there at night but unfortunately it closes at dusk.
My experience happened during the day. Haunted places arent a show that turns on for your entertainment when you show up. Sometimes things happen, sometimes they dont. Stuff doesnt happen 24/7.
@@nightmaster6381 yes for the most part my spirit experiences are during the daytime mostly when I am not expecting any thing just going about my day someone will pop up
It's creepy just getting there
I'd be more concerned about getting robbed at such an isolated place than encountering anything else.
Time paused on 22:46 carving in tree
Believe what you wish, but spirits tend to drain electronic devices rather commonly, either to manifest themselves, or whatever.
Absolutely, ate flashlights kept flickering and our camcorder that was brand new, absolutely nothing was recorded except the trafic
I can feel there is a LOT going on at Bachelor's Grove. I know this, since I went there once. Drawing in a lot of energy, clearly.
The bugs are trying to run you off
Lol this so funny you are walking on spirits now you don't notice them. If you look closely you can see their faces in the shadows of the road. Lol oh yeah they are watching
I felt a lot of energy on the path outside the cemetery.
Sounded like a scream..but the voice sounded like a Ssssssh.
What state are you in
Illinois
Souless people vandalising the cemetery
the dead dont care
Hello and thank you for posting this interesting video, wondering if the scream sound has an american indian origin being near water probably a spring marks it out as a different place after all they were on this land long before settlers arrived and all that satanic activity could have woken things up, I did detect sigh sounds and spirits can manifest insects, towards the end there were light anomalies on the right of the screen at first could just be sunlight reflection but later more marked as you were walking along the path talking about the gimbol turning to the right
. I swear, that the insect I just had on me, had teeth, and it was smiling at me . ~ it's a hard life, it's (MULDEW)
Don't you find that strange? You just put in fresh batteries. They don't want you there.
who is they??
Ghost adventures are a bunch of hacks.
