Thanks for this! Making some giant pumpkin lights for Halloween and this was exactly what I needed!

Great tutorial. Why is 1mm thickness risky?

Thank you alot. This was my first time on meshmixer. I hade to open a box and make a lid of the top. Is there a possibility to make like an edge around where I cut the box so the lid stays in place. Don't slide around. Thanks alot for this any how :)

I'm not sure if I understand your question.
you can add a cube (from the left side there is an icon called meshmixer and cube is the shape you are looking for) and place it whereever you want (change the size and move it from transform) then combine it with your box. You can watch the last video that I've made it's about remixing STL files. I hope that gonna solve your problem.

@@parisa_amraee_art9010 for FDM printing, you can change the infill instead of making hollow. I don't recommend making hollow

What is the sense? Probably every slicer can do it (resin and fdm slicers)

Probably not. You can not do this in simplify 3d. Meshmixer is also a slicer. but non of the slicer I've known could do sculpting, hollowing, combine or any other features that Meshmixer has. and don't forget that Meshmixer is open source.
