Just an FYI but in the second phase, the big black hole can be stopped by stunning him with a cloudpiercer arrow, so imo it's definitely worth it to take cloudpiercer imo
The fates you choose does matter. One of them is good for you, the gourd looking one. It actually heals you a bit when broken. You should always try for that one.
Yeah, I didn't mean to say that it doesn't matter, just that no matter what happens the fight is still the same level of challenge for the most part.
@GVGuidesOfficial fair! But I will say, the gourd saved me once or twice when I was working through the fight. Your guide made me notice that red orb. You were very right about it. Definitely break that thing asap! Don't suffer like I did. Lmao

Yep!
Another tip: Arrows (at least my cloud piercer) immediately cancels the vortex / black hole attack. What helped me greatly was the Enhanced Qi Blast skill that gives you Azure Sand after a three-charge Qi Blast. Going for the gourd fate is definitely recommended 🙂
