  • K Swap Universal Adapter Harness: Get your K swap to work
By Brian Gillespie and Aaron Gaghagen
We are building a universal K swap universal adapter harness for Hondas that use the main relay that includes both the ECU relay and fuel pump relay in one unit. This will work on all fuel-injected Hondas, like 1985-2000 Civics, 1986-2001 Integras, 1985-2001 Prelude, 1985-2002 Accord, 1998-2001 CRV, and similar models using Hondata. There will be another episode talking about the individual connections to the car when we install it in our 1st Gen CRX project car.

I have a special request. Would you please post the rest of the 7th gen K-swap series?
I'm neck deep in my own 7th gen K-swap and would like to catch any pointers you may have had during your swap.

Ive had a few issues with my Hybrid Racing adapter harness mostly related to how they were powering the o2 sensor on the same power wire as the ecu. Made the car run awful and caused weird voltage fluctuation with the o2 hooked up, until I ran o2 power straight to the battery separate from ecu and rerouted relay signal to 12v switchable on fuse box. Then another issue with the o2 connector itself. Thank you for posting this and the rest in advance, as I want to just make my own dc adapter and sell the HR one.

I have a 2002 MR2 manual and have been considering a K20 n/a swap. Have you in the past built a harness to interface with the Toyota ECU in your videos.

Thanks for all the videos, I have emailed in with no reponse sometime ago.
I am interested in a GK5 swap but I am based in the UK.
My worry is the harness along with engine of choice then error codes. K20a or the choices of k24z engines we have here along with the ep3, we dont have the honda Si engine and the accord type s 09 with a z engine is near on impossible to source as they are so scarce.
I can have no engine codes as it won't pass our annual inspection here which is called an MOT.
Please any advice would be grateful as they only thing me holding me back is I don't have much to base on.
    Thanks

    • @VTECAcademy

For use in an Ek it would be a lot of wiring and parts. Your better off looking for a CRV harness for auto and converting that to manual. It's going to be cheaper and a tenth of the work.
