Hi Liz. So happy because my bike is in your video 😂🤣😂🤣. It was parked next to pinky, thank you for being so nice and friendly to me when I came and said hello as it must be very strange to have old fat blokes approaching. Thanks also to Mike who invited me over to share the food I didn’t come over because this is all new to me and I didn’t want to freak you out. I had the best time and will definitely be back next year looking forward to watching your videos this year and ride safe. Cheers Ed. 👍👍😂😂🤣🍺
Hey R1liz,I’m the S1000RR person you didn’t bump into with the luggage questions! You spotted from the two little pillion seat hoops that I was in full touring mode. Plonked on was a hold-all containing my tent, sleeping bag and ground mat.I had a rucksack with my cooking stuff, whiskey and so on. I hope you had a great Dragon,I did and can’t wait till next year.
YAY! I’m so glad you commented 😁 very impressive you were able to get everything on the bike without a single modification 😂 bike looked showroom fresh I was envious. Do you wish you had more with you or could have done anything differently? Maybe bump into you next time😄
It was all ok in the end,I stressed a little bit about loading the bike and almost splashed out on a luggage rack but a big hold-all type sports bag bungee’d to the back and the rucksack was all I needed. I wouldn’t have done anything differently,I’ve had big tourers and adventure bikes with all the kit, this S1000RR is THE most pure biking experience I’ve ever had and I love it!
There was another entrance to the site on the far side with a proper road and an entry to the field that was much better than where most people parked. I was lucky enough to speak to someone who was moving their bike round to that side so I followed them round. I just took a bivvy bag and a tarp rather than a tent to keep things simple.
Hello again Jim, ‘twas myself you followed and it was nice to meet you on the Dragon, though my lad Mike and I did worry about your sleeping arrangements 😂 til the next one, regards Jim.
Google The Biker Guide. They list the years Bike Shows month by month. You'll find more and more Shows added as the year goes on. Alternatively get a subscription to Old Bike Mart ( about £10 per year). It's a Classic Bike orientated newspaper which also lists each month all the Shows that are occurring.
Type The 😊Biker 😊Guide😊 into your search engine. ( I have put the smiley faces because my original comment was removed. You don't need the smiley faces😊).They list all the years Bike shows month by month. As the year goes on more shows get added. Alternatively get a subscription to Old😊 Bike😊 Mart. ( about a tenner per year). It's a Classic Bike newspaper which also lists shows for that particular month.
Hi glad your weather was OK Totally agree ABR sould be a bit less touring and a little more Adventure you don't need a adventure bike for touring you can tour on the bike you have as you have 100% proved and long may you and pinky continue stay safe
Nice to meet you ! They did have the right idea ? Setting up next to bikes! You should have seen the French lot? They had a restaurant set up where bikes parked? 😂😂
Liz, a future tip for fire lighting. Flames like to climb upwards so you need to hold the lighter underneath whatever you're trying to light.( But mind your fingers). You were holding the lighter and the fuel ( couldn't make out what it was) at the same level so that's why you weren't successful. 😊
Am being wise and camping in Wales in June, gonna get some wet practice in soon though. (Back garden). Gonna consider this for next year see how it goes. Am guessing no showers?
Good idea 😂 you’d be lucky to have showers available at a dragon rally buy since it’s only one night it isn’t that bad if you only travel for the event.
@@R1_Liz Yeah was thinking it looks more of get bit mucky have a few beers n hopefully not completly drenched type affair. As a noob biker/camper want a few more trial runs.
My hands are that colour due to topical steroid withdrawal and something called red skin syndrome. Fire lighting is easy when you are a very active Scout Leader
Bit of a sausage fest that one 😂😅 I’m too chicken to go to rallies (especially on my own) (& cus I feel like id be really awkward as one of the only women there 😂🤔😬
I don't know if your Dad is a religious man, but I imagine he must have prostrated himself in prayer to whatever god he worships when your brother was taken unwell and he had to 'escort' him home.
My inappropriate touring bike is a GSR-750, I slap a Givi box and Oxford panniers on it with a horrible oversized powerbronze screen, and I have been allover England., Wales and Scotland on it. Get home, take all the crap back off, and it's back to hooning again😂😂
My idea of hell, boggy muddy field, a load of drunken bikers dancing shirts off to dexys midnight runners. Is this one of those events where people pretend to enjoy themselves to the point where they need to return each year to perpetuate the myth? Looks like its turned into a commercial opportunity for someone. Thanks for reinforcing what i already thought. No thanks!

It's definitely a boggy rally. Poor dad mist out on cake. Great vlog 🏍👍
Great video, thank you it looked great fun,
On behalf of CMCC Thanks for coming and sharing

Eccentric masochistic madness and fun to watch. Goodnight🙈
That bike doing rounds on a sodden field @15:20, was a honda xl250 right?
Those barkbusters are awesome bits of kit. Don't fold back against the levers and I tested mine to 130mph in Germany.
I'm so gutted I never went now, does anybody have a list of events for UK bikers

Looks like a great weekend, the disco was a bit like a young farmers do back in the 90s....😂

Thank you for reminding me how pissed I was 😂
what town is this in? what was the temperature
Great content x
Thanks r1liz for the help
"You're alright with Vodka?"
"Very!"
😂
I don’t know why I said that tbh, I immediately gave it away 😂
Seems like such a good time :D
It was brilliant, all the stars aligned
Nice to meet you ! They did have the right idea ? Setting up next to bikes! You should have seen the French lot? They had a restaurant set up where bikes parked? 😂😂
It was a proper commune going on down there I was a bit jealous 😂
Loved watching........Will I ever attend?
NEVER! 😂😂
Hahaaa one day maybe you’ll get curious enough
I’m at 10:22 on thé left, drinking next to my R1200 R Classic.
God, cant see any attraction in this but thanks for sharing your experience.
Hahaa it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but glad I can provide enjoyment for everyone staying cosy at home

Hah! That sounds so obvious - how could I not have realised 😭 I’ll remember next time - thank you!
You want harsh weather ? You should try « La Burle » in France (this year is was on 1st of March).
Am being wise and camping in Wales in June, gonna get some wet practice in soon though. (Back garden).

Are you alright with vodka haha i'll manage.
Knobbly tyres defo needed for that field lol
My teepee tent at 11mn
I have questions. How was the pizza? Why are Mike's hands the same colour as the fire-lighter and is this why he was able to successfully create fire?
Mike is clearly a fire spirit, and I never did get a pizza in the end, we had brought chilli for 7 people so we had to eat that 😅
My hands are that colour due to topical steroid withdrawal and something called red skin syndrome. Fire lighting is easy when you are a very active Scout Leader
camping in winter in the mud thats dedication to a cause
What cause though 🥲
Riding into a boggy field on road tyres!!? I thought it was just car drivers who were dum..?
Must be a village idiot convention
We’re all dumb here
We camped just infront of you, three tents, blue dome and two green ones.
Not the big teepee next to us?
@R1_Liz no, three tents, I'm sat in my chair in your video lol
Only another 350 odd days till next years Dragon.
*reluctant cheering*
LOL I will loan you something with knobby tyres if you go, but you will need to practice off road first @@R1_Liz

Yep, huge sausage fest, would be curious to know exactly how many women rode to it and what the ratio was 😅
👋😘

Probs a hatched plan tbh.
