Hello Adii... I am extremely happy after watching this video. A spark has once again ignited in my heart to study medicine. But although i m happy to watch ur video, I also know the harsh reality of my life. Let me introduce myself. .. I m Jyoti Kumawat from India. I studied science in 12 th in 2006. I wanted to do medicine but due to lack of support from parents I couldn't do it. Later I got admission in Bsc. Physics and completed it in 2009. After that my parents got me married. But I wanted to study further. My husband gave me the permission to either study msc physics or get a job in bank. So I chose to do banking. After preparing for two years, I got a bank job as a clerk but slowly I realized I was not satisfied with that job. The salary was very low compared to the amount of work and risk. So after two years I left the bank job during my pregnancy. Now my son is 5 year old and I m desparately looking for a new start in my career.. But I m losing hope. I want to do something useful. I want to study medicine but I don't know how is it possible now with a child and a family to take care of. I am 34 now. Although I was full of excitement after seeing your video that age is not a factor for a medical degree but I am not finding the way to fulfill it. Can I study medicine and take care of my child simultaneously.. It seems impossible when I think over it.... Will that be a good decision. Please guide me Adii. I don't know what should I do. I also want to follow my dream as well as take care of my family.... Please reply because ur reply means a lot to me

Hello. So sorry I’m just replying you. I think I missed this comment.
Since you are married, I think this is something you will need to talk over with your husband because you need his full support. Let him know that you are currently not fulfilled in what you do and still want to live your dreams of becoming a medical doctor. The truth is that you need a good support system like your family to be able to do this.
I really admire your courage and I feel honored that I was able to inspire you. Speak to your husband and you can take it from there. I wish you the very best.
Do write me back and let me know of your progress. My regards to the beautiful people of India. I had lots of Indian classmates in my first year 🙂

Yes, education is for all. Age shouldn't be an obstacle to one's desire to go back to school. Don't you know that there are still lots of seniors here in the Philippines who continue their education even they're already in their 60s, 70s, 80s? Obviously, they do it not expecting to get hired but only for fulfillment that they failed to finish while they're at younger age. Because many of them stopped midway due to many reasons like marriage or some kind of emergency that prevented them from completing their studies. I salute you for pursuing your dream with ardor and candor. God bless you!

It’s never to late to embark upon any professions entry-level program. I knew a lady from San Antonio, Texas who desired to become an attorney. She was a career changer teacher. When she commenced her JD program she was 62 years. At 65 years she was a corporate attorney because she also had incredible life experiences than most 3L graduates. Now, Marriage and children can wait until the objective has been achieved. That extra burden isn’t for most graduates unless their spouses are graduate students or students in professions schools. So, women go out there & get it done. And don’t worry about meeting educated bachelors who also are graduates of masters & doctoral degree programs. Hey, we’re waiting to meet you. It’s sometimes meeting university female graduates for guys as well as for females.

Hello Ma'am, I am 24 year old girl from India. I have failed my Medical entrance exam for 6 consecutive year. (Side wise I have completed my Graduation this year and Joined Masters in chemistry) but deep down I feel INCOMPLETE & Unhappy. Nothing makes me happy. Should I try once more. Will it be worth it. My family is saying slowly you will adjust but deep down I think I will not....!!!
What to do now? Should I try once more.
    Reply me soon plz🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    • @adiimimi

Hello Sushmita, I’m really sorry to hear about this. It really depends on you. Are you okay with pursing a Masters in Chemistry (Chemistry is a good course as well). Will your family be able to support you financially and emotionally if you decide to go back to school.
I have interviewed an Indian student on my channel and he did mention getting into medical school in India is also difficult. Maybe if you are thinking of reapplying, can you try schools outside India. You really need to discuss this with your family. I hope you understand.
And yes, you can try again if you feel you aren’t genuinely happy and fulfilled. Please do keep in touch with me, let me know how it goes. Wishing you the very best.

@@adiimimi thanks you so much Ma'am these words are real precious to me😇. I do watch all your videos. I think I should try once....so to avoid whole life regret. And yes I can't afford Mbbs from outside India. Being a middle class family girl of Indian society we only pursue our dream if we get government medical College. Unfortunate but truth 😶

I think you're at the right time to choose a lifetime career, work hard for it. It's alright, everyone has a unique path in life, you can take your time and prepare for your entrance exam, it's never too late. There're people who are switching careers at the age of 40 and 50 so just live your unique life, also non of these that you're worrying about now will matter when you're a doctor at your 50s. There're people who studied medicine for years and are working as DJ's now lol so relax and remind yourself not to take life so seriously once in a while.
