The main thing i love about this laptop isnt just how powerful it is, but that it maintains being relatively SLEEK (and still full power). Its too common to just make some ugly massive thing with a 4090 and ship it out. The legion is nice
Yeah, I took notice of this review and your comment while waiting on mine to deliver in few days. Bought 9i but opted 64 ram, 2 tb, 4080 because I'm not a gamer but former systems analyst and business professional. Want top end system, but not the bulk of my old Alienware M17 😅 That was a portable desktop haha.
@@BryantCarr exactly I'm an architectural student as well as a full-time videographer and editor and I have the legion 7i Gen 9, dual 2tb and 64 ram with a 17400 HX and RTx 4070. I don't need the horsepower of a 4080 or 4090. I'm coming from a 3060 laptop my 7i is just much thinner with bigger and more color accurate screen.
As a tech fiend I love all the power and capabilities modern laptops have but the Asus G14 still strikes the perfect balance in my opinion. I wouldn't mind a Legion though in my collection
Wow thanks for this video now that's a pretty neet laptop ,👏 really like it , so I have a question Ashley um what Google laptop do you recommend the reason I'm asking in Google one is because I have a pixel and would want to connect my phone to it so any recommendations??? Thanks ❤
1. Go for Legion 7i for performance due to Intel HX processors but suffer in battery 2. Go for G14 for battery (uses less power) but suffer in performance due to low max power and also due to this reason, you are pying 4070 but not fully utilize the capability of the game card. They cap the 4070 power wattage. Equals lower performance
The performance your showing here sucks for a 4090 mobile gpu idk why your getting such low fps but im 100 percent legit telling you that my lenovo legion slim 5 with a rtx 4060 gets higher fps in the games you tested at the settings which you tested at. In cyberpunk with ultra settings im getting 70 to 80 fps. The only difference is i ran amd fsr 3.0 instead of the older version of fsr you used but still used the same quality setting so shouldnt matter much. I think you may have been in a quiet performance mode on the laptop or something because it def should of gotten way higher fps at the settings you had.
U might wanna censor the nude part in cyberpunk 2077 cuz I am pretty sure you can get demonitized and age restricted for that. And I was watching the review on my TV and my mom walked in while the nude lady scene ame up in the cyberpunk test part bro😢😢

This thing is solid, but definitely thin all things considering. I don't miss the huge bulky gaming laptops they used to make lol
Just bought the cheap LOQ15, but here because of the excellent content!
@@myfakeguuglaccount8307 thank you 🙂 the LOQ is a nice price point. What games are you currently playing?
Just subbed, great videos🙌
Yes it's a gaming laptop but most architecture students and engineering students and creators will be purchasing

I don't expect this 9i will collect as much dust as the M17 😂

@@matheus-htz thank you!
I saw your legion 7i review and bought one and now you're reviewing 9i.. i cant compete anymore..damn you're rich girl
Lol Lenovo was nice enough to let me borrow the 9i to test out. The 7i is a beast though, that one I had bought lol
do performance test like furmark and cinebench with hwinfo for temperature monitoring and power
How's it going just letting you know you can still use the dedicated GPU on usb c power.
Thanks for letting me know! 140w is still a good amount of power.
That laptop is a BEAST
The most powerful gaming laptop I've used 🤯

The screen flex
Tbh im surprised it doesn't support a higher refresh rate... Especially since it has 4090..

Windows computers have a phone link app that you should be able to use to link your phone
@techwithashley ok great thank you for the recommendation
Yeah Mom, I need this for homework
Ashley, should I get Legion 7i 4070 gen 9 or g14 r9 4070?? Help meee pls! Both 32gb 1tb.
@@raine006 depends what you want to play and what laptop size you want. If it is the 2024 G14 the 4070 is at 90w, so the 7i is more powerful.

Yeah, it is surprisingly! Still solid tho.
@techwithashley like that thing is rocking a 4090 so yeah...

ps check what wattage your gpu is running at this will tell you if your using all the power possible for gaming or if somethings holding the gpu back.
nvm just as i wrote that you got to the part of the video where you put it in performance mode lol i should of watied for the video to finish.
