Actually, the title is Battle AT The Ministry, but I fully think the title should be what you said, Battle FOR The Ministry. It just sounds more epic and a bigger sense of danger and higher stakes.
Just an fyi... at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure you can walk through any of the Harry Potter queues and then choose to not ride the ride and exit the queue near the loading platform. I think it's pretty safe to assume you'll be able to do the same for the ministry of magic ride.

Disney (In Response To This At D23): "We're going to do not one, but TWO live-action remakes of classic films of ours! (awkward extended pause) "...........how does a sequel to this film sound to y'all? We'll even throw in a prequel to that film? How about another sequel to another film?" (extended pause) "Did we mention we've got some live-action remakes and sequels lined up?"
I’m all for epic universe, but I do find it funny that they say “50 attractions”. They count all of the restaurants as “attractions” which I think is absolutely hilarious. Gotta market it as best you can. I’m sure Disney would do the same thing if they had the chance
@@samplautz5586 Oh, I absolutely agree with you that Universal's PR/press team embellished and exaggerated what's coming too, don't get me wrong.
I just quoted that excerpt from their press release and paired it with the overall announcements of D23 to signify just how large a chasm there is between the two companies in their current state as far as ambition and vision is concerned.

Im surprised more people arent talking about this. I went to universal orlando a few years back and diagon ally alone is breathtaking. Mario Land is also outstanding and magical. I cant remember the last time Disney impressed me like that.
Harry Potter has been an insane success, of course another land would bring them secured success. The real risks here where httyd and dark universe
I think it was a good risk to take. People are extra excited for dark universe and httyd. This is especially for Dark universe, as soon as it was shown Universal was surprised to see how excited people were for dark universe.
@@lespena3722 I agree!!! I mean before going in those, in their mind, were the risks. I’m excited for all of it but sad to see the polls show far less people are stoked on httyd 😭
Haloween Horror Nights are massivly popular I think the Dark Universe is far from a risk.People are beghing for a villians land at Disney.
@@chriscirino5779 it’s still a risk. We are talking about a year-round thing vs seasonal. I think it’s a small risk and imo not very risky at all, but I think they did consider it to be somewhat of a risk on their part.
. I see your point .You also have to consider Universals clientele it is different than Disney's wine drunk moms with strollers the size of an SUV. I personally am looking forward to it all to have a good rest of the day

Disney died when it decided to do 3 things
1) out price the average family
2) go woke
3) charge for pictures and autographs from the fake dress up characters
And also told families that their sons and husbands were not welcomed….
Oh and almost forgot, they started to hire hairy men in dresses to work with little girls.
Both are a huge nope for me.

Comes down to taste. Disney has more shows and character meets along with the rides. Universal has more "thrilling" ride but again it depends on personal taste. I would say velocicoaster is their best ride and also Universal doesn't have anything better (to me) than rise of the resistance or cosmic rewind. Again for me it's about the full experience of the attraction
As a Nintendo fan that wants a huge Super Nintendo world theme park I won’t complain about Harry Potter getting more lands why not let every ip expand if it can in universal parks? 😅

The likely result is epic reduces both the the existing universal parks attendance, both of which require updates....
Disney's focus is on making Animal Kingdom a full day park and new things for Disneyland in 2028. If Disney World by 2030 has a brand new area in MK, AK and HS that would be interesting.
Would be interesting to see what the Fox theme park ride rights contracts are like. Disney could potentially drop a park just based around these properties in post 2035 🤷🏻♂️
If Universal and Islands require 'updates' then Disney needs full on rehabilitation. If you listen closely you can hear the magic flat-lining.
@@Techguru911 Disney requires massive changes at all levels and deffo a move to two leaders one an ideas person, other purely business.... Disney will continue to be ok for least another 10 years whilst the adults fall into the renaissance generation it's after that when disney has less relevant for those adults as children.

I am honestly confused about the ministry of magic because you go from 1920s Paris into modern day setting at the ministr during the last book. It's kind of weird. time turners better be relevant here

I like this video because like you I never watched any Harry Potter movies until my gf sat me down and had me watch them last month . They are actually pretty good and entertaining and im now excited to go back to the parks because I never cared for the Harry Potter spots and excited for this new area because I get all the references and Easter eggs. As someone who slept on the franchise my whole life I suggest you watch it its way better than I thought but im still more excited for dark universe and Nintendo

The Disney villains land if delivered will surpass epic universe, and there’s a high chance of it being delivered because during the expo they announced that there was no more blue skies and everything that they announce will 100% be coming
Disney is broke they are cash strapped all they have been offering lately is more character meet and greets and higher prices.Even if they have the money it will take them2 decades to build it at the speed they go.

Also: I'm the inverse of you in that I used to watch all the Harry Potter films, but haven't been to the themed Universal parks. My excuse is JK Rowling's shameful behavior and inflammatory rhetoric. Its honestly spoiled the magic I used to feel for the franchise. That's just me of course and I totally understand how others compartmentalize their feelings about Rowling with the broader mythology and lore of the franchise.
I can't believe how many people are mad at JK Rowling for simply stating a biological truth. It's silly how some people seek out opportunities to portray themselves as victims, even when they're not.
