- After Darth Revan finds out his true identity, he finds out that HK-47 was once his personal assassin droid. He later asks the droid why he uses the term meatbag and we find out that it was Darth Malak who was the original meatbag.

I like to imagine that Revan "finding the reference humourous" is another way of saying that he spent about five or ten minutes laughing his arse off at Malak's irritation. That's why he wore the mask, you see - it would hardly be dignified for a Sith lord to smirk uncontrollably at his underling's frustrations.
IKR, no wonder Malak betrayed him.

Am I the only one who finds the way HK-47 treats Revan after remembering his past somehow... heartwarming? Because he is the droid I certainly did not expect to be that loyal to anybody.
Amazing what free will can do.
HK probably also remembers the scale of destruction that Revan wrought, and respects Revan's power and capacity for ruthlessness. Up until that point, Revan's power and talents at war were unprecedented.

I just love the idea of Revan being funny and personable. Gives you some idea why people would follow him. It's not just because he won battles but because they liked him personally. I imagine Revan to be a lot like how you play the game, run up to everyone, strike up a conversation, learn their deepest secrets, solve their problems, accomplish your own goals in the process (only he probably wouldn't have screwed people over like the dark side path always has you do)
I was just thinking on this a day or two ago. I thought it was sad how you have to do so many messed up things to be on the dark side, while Revan was going around saving planets by conquering them and unifying the galaxy under one rule. Why would anyone follow such an evil person? He was charismatic and did some good things while he was mongering some war, that's why!

mrvn he’s from SWTOR so I don’t count that as canon even if it is in Legends continuity. Besides Revan came first anyway.
Now Revan obvious had a sense of humour even as the dark lord. It still remains because he teases Bastilia to no end. Assuming you play male. But even Female Revan has the same humour teasing Carth.
Well Revan is Male so it would be funny if teasing Bastila was canon.
Well, either you play Male Revan, or you mod the game to remove gender checks for romance and play Female Revan.

Well the real reason was because Revan chopped off his jaw.

@@murselpatpat4270 i do believe that being a cyborg means replacing some of your body parts (not nescessarly on purpose but by nescessity) by mechanical parts. Anakin was a cyborg the moment he started using a mechanical arm.

This game was almost ruined by the fact that during your final confrontation with Malak, you get no dialogue option to remind him of his "meatbag status". :(

What I wouldn't give for a remake of this game and for this dialogue to be fully voice acted, oh and have an option to call Malek a meatbag before he dies.
At the end of kotor 1 there should have been an option to call Malak a meatbag

Why HK-47/50 sounds so different in Kotor 1 & 2? Also in TOR he seems to have a different voice. The actor is the same however throughout the games.
the voice actor got older so the voice changed
I'm pretty sure that in KotOR 2, he was aiming (or was told) to go for a more sarcastic/humorous tone, while in KotOR 1 he was going for the whole "I am serious killing droid, fear me" type of voice.
And in TOR, he most likely got older, like Master of Ren said.
