- I made this video to help show how to program the shift light and the display on a 2003 R1. Other models may have similar procedures, but I'm not competely sure. I do know that the procedure for the R6 pretty much exactly the same as this R1. Oh, and in the video I said to hold down the select button, turn the key on, and wait for it to blink. My bad, there is nothing that blinks. Just wait until the display goes blank, then you are ready to begin programming. Here are the things you can adjust on the display:
-Shift light: blinking fast, pulsing slowly, or solid ON.
-Shift light brightness
-RPM for shift light to come on
-RPM for shift light to turn off
-Display brightness
Thats it. Its really simple. I turned my brightness all the way up bc it has been slightly dim up until now. Of course you can always make changes in about 15 seconds. Good luck guys.
