Great video you missed the last step After changing the engine oil, check the oil flow as follows:
    a. Remove the oil check bolt in the cylinder head
    b. Start the engine and allow it to idle. Do not increase engine rpm.
    c. Oil should start to seep out of the oil check bolt hole
    d. Reinstall bolt

Excellent How to video, thank you for putting it together. I just picked up a 1984 225DX and need to go through everything. What oil filter did you go with, my usual parts shop (Rocky Mountain ATV/MC) only goes back to 1987... I'm sure it's a pretty generic filter. Also, what tires did you put on the rear? My old Wooly Boogers are pretty close to done. Thanks in advance.

Just changed my oil and noticed a small o ring in the drain pan…after cleaning everything I can see it fell out of engine case …..it belongs in the bottom or middle size screw hole. It goes in then the cap and screw over top of it…The one that’s hard to get off because of rear brake pedal….

Is there gear oil for the shaft? How do you check/change that?

There is oil in the rear differential that should be changed periodically.

Brand is called AHL. Stock metal screen filters are reusable, but this one was in rough shape
