    Killing a lion with only a spear was a mandatory rite of passage for young Masai men looking to join the ranks of the Masai Moran (warriors) for hundreds of years. Fortunately, since sometime in the early 2010s, the Masai have found other rituals to substitute, but it’s not surprising that lions still remember to turn tail and run like hell when they see a couple dozen Masai warriors running toward them.

    I used to think this was too brutal, but it makes much more sense now. Now its so strange to me, how all of a sudden in more recent decades we are being taught, that killing a predatory animal is somehow "wrong" when all throughout history it was universally understood. There is really only one wrong way to hunt/kill any animal, and that's if you kill it without any purpose/reason that would contribute to You or your Family's survival/survival skills. What the masai are doing is what all of our ancestors had to do, show the predators around you, that you will not be they're prey and you are not weak. I mean even city folk should understand this concept, because even they cannot escape this unavoidable situation. Imagine if you live in a city, imagine what would happen if you do nothing when you are bullied/threatened(god forbid by a fierce gang), do nothing and the gang will test more and more of their violence on you and others(which by the way is the exact reason why so many gangs have claimed so much territory now), so put in a fight and end it right away, form a team/tribe and even better chances for survival. It should be seen as no different when dealing with predatory animals like lions. That's one of the most important skills of survival in this world both in the primitive and the modern, to fight back when you feel threatened. Its such a shame how we have come so far do to our success, and yet now we both abandon our skills from our success and even shame the ones who still use them. Leave all tribes and anyone surviving in the real world alone, and leave their methods and skills alone. Fix your own methods, after all its quite obvious that the modern world contributes far more to destruction to life, than the more primitive ones.

    i think the lion stolen the cow of the villagers in the first place, from the color of the animal it is not wild beast rather it is an ordinary cow.

      From what I have read, for the most part the Maasai only kill the animals that actively go for their livestock; like this lion.

      @@Can_Head they should guard their animals better. And scare the lions away not killing them. We lost enough lions thanks to illegal hunters without the masai killing the lions too.

      And if you went to the Mara now you know how bad the problem is. How many cattle did you see in the park? So you heard one of the 4 Moniko-Sankai dispersing young males was speared and killed then on Oct24th. I wanna see truth in pictures and video of all the cattle grazing in the park. The Rangers and Camps want us to be quiet and keep our mouths shut. Problem is lions can't talk. They can't tell us what's going on there.

      @Dominic Amoe Tribes are no joke. It is these kind of tribes that instill the fear into many lion prides. You should watch videos of these tribes. Not your normal human like your friends.

      @Dominic Amoe bro listen ur weak not them u need gun to defend urself even u will miss horribly and die, but they can do that with just a single knife and wodden shield and will kill the lion, humans are Apex predetors in everywhere and not just prey humans became weak in recent times and will get weaker as time passes by but that doesn't gonna change the fact that we are Apex predetors.

    • @arobindodasgupta6700
      @arobindodasgupta6700 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Dominic Amoe give mike Tyson brass knuckles and see what happens. Nowadays humans are alot weaker than past human's, I remember there's a guy who took straight hit of a cannonball on his mid body the same cannonball which are used to destroy walls of castes and he neither splits into pieces nor died.Thinking about weakness is what makes u alot weaker than ur, humans are perfect. Teamwork is a different thing which have other types of benefits and yes humans are in top of the food chain.
