Do you mean to say S20 ? Because S10 is 50K and S10+ is 56K on Amazon. Makes the choice quite interesting particularly between S10+ and One Plus. With Dex and Samsung pay as solid positives for former and Exynos (non 5G) chip as big negative

I've had the OnePlus 8Pro for about a month now and I love it. I was ready to back up this phone at the beginning of this video but most of the points he's made really hit home. Not that the phone is bad.. just that I wish I could change small things that I miss from my last phone that is now 3 years old.
    Things like
    -no always on display
    -limited lock screen customization
-max screen dimness still being bright
    -a built in fingerprint scanner
-for some reason "Google assistant" almost never hears me. Maybe a mic issue?
-homescreen apps are too spread out which feels like a waste of screen real estate
-lack of accessibility to phone cases and screen protectors
-the SIZE, holy moly it's huge!
    And probably most annoyingly
-the power button is almost opposite of the volume down key which results in so many accidental screenshots instead of the screen locking
Overall these are minor issues and the benefits far outweigh the negatives of this phone in my opinion. Camera is great, screen is great. Music gestures are great. The smoothness and quickness 😅 This phone is really amazing 🥰

Meanwhile, here in India, the OnePlus 8 Pro sale has been delayed 4 Times after we pre-booked the device more than a month ago. Takes the meaning away from the word "Pre-Book". They are just opening sales for the vanilla Oneplus 8, which btw no is going for in India. Forcing people to buy the model that is not going to sell well before opening the Pro model sales.

Also, some weird bug in night mode (red color mode) where it's not on for a second or two when you open the screen. These are enough of a reason to return the device if not fixed. Taking 60fps 4k video will also cause overheating in hot weather at least if you keep 120 Hz screen refresh on. 5min restriction on 4k 60fps video is also bothersome. Nice video review. I mostly agree with your assessments. I ordered mine on launch day here in the USA and received it on April 21. It replaced a perfectly functional but aging OnePlus 3. Battery health was still mid to upper 80s, but it lacked band 71 and official support terminated in late 2019. I loved that OP3 and it took me 3 weeks to finally turn it off and fully move to the 8 pro. Lol.
Here in the USA, 10.5.8 still shows as current. The dual sim feature has yet to be enabled. So I keep the 8 pro with my primary sim and the OP3 has my backup sim. I’m kinda surprised OnePlus hasn’t enabled dual sim yet.
I have not had any of the display issues complained about online. No green or pink tint. If I have black crush, I haven’t noticed it. And I use dark themes and read on it in bed every night.
I think the price is too high in the USA. Had the new iPhone or pixel been out, I would have given them serious consideration. Especially the iPhone because of the support, both locally (in store) and length of useful life. Phones should have more support than 2 years os, 3 years security.
In favor of OnePlus has been my experience with upgrades on my OP3. And OOS is a delightful skin. Back when I could buy 2 one plus phones in a 6 year time frame vs 1 iPhone for about the same price, buying android made sense to me. That differentiation no longer exists. A comparable iphone is only about $250 more than the top spec 8 pro.
Had the iPhone 12 been out, that might have been hard to turn down. OP needs to make the Indian prices the norm rather than the exception. That would restore balance to the mobile phone world. IMO, of course.

I have 8 Pro myself and was wondering how you didn't cover the weird behavior of the 3x camera. When focused on a distance, it uses the 3x camera but if the subject is close like 1 meter away, it switches for the main camera and uses digital zoom. Go on and try it, you will see the camera app to "jump" to the different camera even on video recording when focusing near to far objects.
I believe this behavior is because of the lens design of the tele 3x camera. It can't focus closer than 1,5 meters or so, so it switches to the main camera to focus objects nearer than that.
Also I am disappointed of the main cameras ability to focus close. You mentioned on the video the narrow depth of field is present which makes the image blurry. This is partly because of the sensor size but I also believe as a semipro photographer the lens is struggling to focus closer. When I switch on the super macro mode, it actually uses the wide lens and sensor which has ability to zoom really close and far. On a situation where I require more depth of field I turn on super macro mode and get better results for objects near to me.
These are little quirks that are a bit annoying but still the camera system works really nice and I really enjoy the super macro 👌
