  • Today we tackle building the 2008 Suzuki Gsxr 750 I picked up last moth. We get a lot done in this video starting off with a swing arm swap, then installing the freshly powder coated wheels and rear set. The fresh fairings from Nt fairing, radiator and headlight assembly also all get installed in the video. I hope y'all enjoy this one!

    Dude! I hope it wasn’t my swingarm video that led you astray! I felt that in my stomach when your bike tipped over…if it was my video, you’ll notice that I used two additional jack stands under the frame just in front of the swingarm to prevent that tipping motion from the center jack. The center jack is set slightly lower than the rear jack stands as a failsafe only. Also, breaking the swingarm bolts loose before jacking up the bike is a MUST. Aside from that minor drop, great build so far! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

    I LOOOOOVE the green accents!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
    For future swingarm changes.....hang some long ratchet straps from the ceiling of the shop so you can put the front of the bike on a stand and support the rear by putting the straps through the rear subframe/seat mount location so when you pop the swingarm out the rest of the bike is suspended from above

      Agreed. I used an engine hoist and a strap. Worked like a champ.

      Many times you find motorcycles without a title - what precautions should one take to make sure you’re not dealing with a stolen bike - and how easy is it to get a title after- I know how to do a VIN check - not enough info to show cause for possible theft
      I’m asking to know to possibly find a cheap bike to fix up not trashed

    Cool vids and bikes, I have seen a few now. Might I make a suggestion to you? You should really invest in proper shop tools to make your life easier so bikes won't fall over and you won't have to work on the floor! Looks like you could use a real bike work table and floor hoist! table. Just saying. Keep up the good work!

    Hey I have a 14 750 with like 7k miles, never let anyone ride it ever badied it it's whole life didn't have a scratch on it almost all original besides full exhaust and power Camand with license plate delete of course. Anyways I let my dumb ass sisters bf use my bike for a few days so it would be at my house for when he was done riding it. Anyways he totaled the thing in 3 days so I'm rebuilding it, there's not a paint place around here and I bought used rims online that were that exact color I love how they look. Was wondering if you happened to have the paint code still? If possible thanks a bunch

    • @builtfromthebottom
      @builtfromthebottom  ปีที่แล้ว

      No paint code i normally just show the guys a photo of a color I like then they go and buy something similar.
