Death by a thousand cuts. Perfect way of explaining it. I think a lot of people think everyone switches to Sony because cause of “marketing” but they’re truly just giving us more bang for our buck.
@@mcsnapples agreed. Except that Fuji can stand next to Arri haha, nothing on the market can do that rn except maybe the Venice 2 and red Raptor. But yeah for best IQ for hybrid systems.. Sony takes the cake. But the Fuji just keeps me inspired the most while also delivering great quality
I just checked. You can get a brand new Canon R6 M2 for around 2.199 Euro in Germany and the Sony A7R5 costs 4.099 Euro? Don't get me wrong but it's like comparing a Mercedes C Class to a BMW M3. The real comparison will be the Canon R5 M2 vs Sony A7R5.
For some reason, TH-camrs have really changed over the last 2 - 3 years. So many are focused on marketing camera systems and really Canon vs Sony. Its crazy. Consumers used Canon, Sony, Panasonic, and Nikon, but TH-camrs all over swear "everyone" is switching from Canon to Sony. The only people switching at high frequency are TH-camrs, commonly for marketing opportunities.
Not to be confrontational, but I disagree. I’m not just a “TH-camr” I am also a practicing videographer. And for the most part, myself and others in my field own one camera system at a time. Be that Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc. However, we do rent other brands as needed. I think you see a lot of “Canon vs Sony” simply because those are the most commonly owned brands.
@@connormccaskill I don't think you are confrontational because you disagree. We can disagree with each other and still communicate in an open way. Thank you for reading my comment
@KeWiTheNoun sure it is, if TH-cam is what you follow. I know a few Sony users who have changed to Canon and Panasonic out here. Does that mean Canon's marketing is working? I am not sure Panasonic marketing even exists, just their prices and camera functionality is so good. Also I don't see why any photographer would leave Nikon, especially given what Nikon offers over the last 6 months. I would bet those people you speak of have had some second thoughts
I switched to Sony system (with 2x A7iV), after 25 years with Canon. Gee, what a mistake I did. Like the better resolution, 3rd party lens selection, but other than that... quick check pictures on display was a pain. As for a weddings, I had to swipe lenses often and with Sony it means constant sensor cleaning. First shutter malfunction was covered in warranty, next one on the 2nd body was not. Cost a lots of money but now I'm back with R6 mkii and R6, all problems gone.
Off-topic fun fact: That castle is actually a romanticized 19th century remake of the orignal castle from around 1100, which had been completely destroyed.
I currently have the R5 and R6 MK2 combo and also owned the A74 for exactly 1 year. I wanted to give Sony another try had A73 few years back and sold it after 6 months. . After 1 year using the A74 I sold it and went back to Canon. My biggest pet peeve was the dust on the sensor. I was constantly cleaning it where to day I only cleaned my R6mk2 once and never the R5. I also found the screen very low res and small and I had to bump up the brightness which made the excellent Sony battery the same as my Canons. Lots of other quirks that made me go back to Canon. By the way I loved the Sigma 24-70 lens on the Sony. So how is the dust issue with the A7R5 - any better ? On the small tiny low res screen I couldn't never tell in videos if I had dust spots on the Sony until I returned home. Photos I can fix but videos not so much. Went to Europe and I did not have a laptop to review and all my footage had nasty dark spots. Recently went with the Canon to Europe and not a single spot. I would like to try Sony again since the A7R5 has a bigger and better screen but please be honest about the dust. I always removed the battery , faced the cameras down and only then I swapped lenses in the field and did not help much. I will keep my Canons and most likely upgrade my R5 to the Mk2 this year but in the mean time I want to try the A7R5 since I kept some E mount lenses.. I understand noise will be an issue if pixel peeping due to the high megapixels and also the video skewing due to the slow sensor readout but I can work around that. I'm a 50/50 hybrid shooter as a hobby , travel and family stuff.
Sony owners will never say something wrong about Sony. Is like they marry this brand. I have the canon R5 since launch day and the sensor is Cristal clear. I never did a clean to that sensor.
@@Princeton_James thats great news. I had tiny dust spots often and needed constantly cleaning. The dust spots would show up at small aperture like f11 and smaller.
Yeah, the r6ii is great for video focused users and the a7r4 is a high resolution sensor thats better for photography focused users. Why compare those two? Less mp for video generally creates a nicer image. People just chase stats rather than using the equipment they have tho
I’m trying to understand “no third party support”. I have a sigma lens attached to my R6 II right now and it works as well as on my old DSLR but with eye tracking. In fact, I get high frame rate shooting through an adapter where sony cripples high frame rate on native mount third party lenses for stills. Some might call that anti consumer. But hey, the important thing is that you have something that works for you in your use case and that competition benefits all of us. Sony dragged Canon and Nikon into the mirrorless world kicking and screaming. Now they just need to get to work on some basic biometric locks, device tracking, and for Canon a 5 axis flippy screen and a full sized HDMI port when the industry adopts a new standard.
They don’t have native rf third party lens support to clarify. I realize that you can use the rf to ef adapter with third party lenses. I should’ve been more specific. My apologies for the confusion
@@connormccaskill yeah. Idk. I kinda see that like being mad that GM doesn’t manufacture engines to accept a Toyota transmission or vice versa, even though they make adapters for them to work together. Meanwhile praising Ford for making an engine that accepts a Mazda transmission but caps the revs to 2800 rpm. But it’s native. For the record I’m not a fan of the adapter, however, I’m also not a fan of spending money to swap out lenses I already have just to switch platforms for a slower readout sensor.
The rf to ef works very well and you really can't tell much of difference. I think some people find something to whine about without evey really using the adapter and comparing.
@@draeknox First, it is EF to RF, not the other way around. Second, the adapter add weight and size to the overall setup. Yes, just the adapter alone, the weight is size are negligible when you are adapting super telephoto lens. But the recent Sigma lenses made specifically for mirrorless are significantly smaller and lighter than their dslr counterpart. So, transitioning from using adapter + dslr lens to mirrorless native weight saving and size reduction is significant. For people with back problems or who constantly has to travel on flight. The weight advantages can be huge. Third, it's extra hassle to switch the adapters among the EF lenses as well as unmounting it from my R bodies when I'm using the native RF mount lenses.
Truth is any camera system can make great images and every camera system can make crap images. I'm in the Canon ecosystem because I'm heavily invested and will stay there because no one is sponsoring me. That said, I'm thinking about building a Fuji film XT kit. I like. the form factor and their color science.
Sony ain’t sponsoring me either bro ha. But yeah it’s all personal preference. Fujifilm is a great system! I’m looking at getting back into Fuji cameras again as well
Nice video. But I'll say this I will definitely not be changing from the Canon ecosystem. People say that they're leaving to go to other systems because Canon doesn't do this, or Canon doesn't do that or that the Canon lenses are too expensive. Well, honestly, if you can't afford high-quality RF glass, then don't buy it. It's okay if you can't afford it. And if you want to talk about expensive, well, I don't really shoot portraits very often. I shoot sports, and those lenses by Sony and by Nikon are very expensive, just like they are with RF Canon glass. And that whole third party thing well I'm not even worried about it because I've never bought not one third party lens to put on any of my Canon cameras. I never have, and I never will. It's not necessarily the camera or the lens, it's the quality of the photographer that makes the photograph great. And honestly, I don't shoot video at all. And if I did, I would probably take the time to buy a good high-quality video camera to get the job done instead of using basically my stills camera. Now, as I said before, I shoot a lot of sports, and I use the Canon R3, which is a beast of a camera. And my customers can't tell the difference between me using a Canon camera and another photo taken by someone else using their other brand of camera. Only other photographers throw that in there. I can almost guarantee you if I took a photograph using my R3 and another brand of camera and put them before you, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless you got the digital files and read the metadata. So I will just say this. I'm not switching out all of my Canon gear just because at this moment, maybe, and I use the word "maybe" very lightly to a system that supposedly is better. All of these cameras do great jobs, it's just the quality of photographer that makes a difference. And no, I'm not rich. I have a regular day job, and I just save up my money to buy high-quality RF glass.
For those who use it as a hobbyist and need several lenses, Sony offers native lenses from all companies. Including the new Sigma Art DG DN lenses which are fantastic! But it's not all about money either. For example: Sony A7CR small body, 60 megapixel full frame and Sony ZV-E1 tiny body, 12 megapixel full frame. These are body options that Canon will never make. I have an R6 Mark II + RF 50mm f/1.8 + Canon 600EX II-RT. This is my hobby kit. But I want a vintage camera and Canon doesn't have one. I'm waiting for the likely launch of the Fujifilm X-Pro 4. If I see that the Fujifilm kit will become lighter, I'll sell my Canon kit and stay with Fujifilm. The issue is not just money. It's the lack of diversity of choice. Right now I've already ordered my Galaxy S24 Ultra and I'm selling my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Precisely because of the possibilities that the new Galaxy S24 will bring me that the iPhone doesn't have and won't have because Apple likes to enslave its customers. And Canon is adopting this same Apple behavior. I don't like being tied to any company's monopoly. Canon is losing a lot of customers. Of the ten best-selling cameras on the planet, Canon only had one camera in the top ten, which was the R6 Mark II, which came in second place. First place was the Nikon Z8. And third place was the vintage Nikon Zf. Sony had three cameras among the ten best-selling cameras in the world. This means that there are more Sony bodies being sold worldwide. While Canon just one body. And Nikon two bodies. This shows that people are leaving Canon and going to Sony, Fujifilm and Nikon. When Canon opens its eyes, I hope it won't be too late. It's a very dangerous game Canon is playing. And the sales numbers are showing it.
@michelecintramika8482 I don't think you're accurate with you top selling cameras list. Canon is represented a lot better than you suggested. Maybe not at your particular store, but overall, I think you are wrong.
Great video man. I also have the R6ii and R5. Hybrid shooting over here and I do weddings. Photo and video. Never had an over heat issue or any issue at all. Love the Rf glass so I don’t really worry about 3rd party. Any 3rd party I do have is mounted ef glass. Glad you found something new and fresh. Sony still doesn’t have my attention but one day maybe. A9iii is neat for sure.
I’m looking at switching from Lumix to two Canon R6ii bodies for wedding photo/video work too! Glad to hear you don’t have any overheating issues. Is it easy to switch between photo and log video? What lenses do you use? Are you on Instagram? Cheers 😊
Same bro, same. Found a 9 rated used on BH for 2950 with no tax on payboo and am selling my R5C / R6ii. Just too many compromises / cripples and I ride for Canon. Keep us updated excited to hear how the switch goes
Considering switching from my R6ii to A7R5! Did you notice a big difference in the AF? I'm not impressed with my R6ii AF, at all. Don't find it to be any better than my R5 or R6mk1.
If I say anything negative about Canon in Canon groups, they assemble with torches and pitchforks. But I feel like I can say it here. Canon is looking like they’re on a downward trajectory with the RF mount and mirrorless. While I certainly still prefer Canon and I’m very happy with everything I have from them (for the most part), their stubbornness of not allowing 3rd Party glass dramatically influences the entry barrier for many shooters who can’t afford Canon L-series lenses…and their low level grey ring lenses aren’t really that great in the grand scheme of things. I hear a lot about CLOG2 and I just don’t get it…CLOG3 is just fine for me and I’ve used it on plenty of big commercial shoots and national television commercials. That said, I don’t understand why Canon won’t give us CLOG2 on higher models like the R3 and the R5C. It makes no sense. But I will say that it’s not exactly fair to compare the A7RV with the R6II. They’re not in the same price bracket at all. The R5 and R5C would be the competitors to that camera and stand up quite well against it. The R5’s overheating issues just don’t seem to happen anymore. We shoot 4K60 all day on set in a hot warehouse sweating our asses off an no issues at all. Your decision may prove untimely with the R5 Mark II and R1 set to be announced early this year. But all that matters is if you bought something that you’re happier with and gets the job done.
You’re welcome to say anything about cameras here. You bring up fair points. I actually owned the Canon R5 for a while before getting the R6 mkii instead. This is definitely not a comparison video. Just me having enough with Canon not putting the consumer first. Hopefully they can rebound with future releases
Not allowing 3rd party lenses is maddening. And most of their non-L RF mount primes use the same optical formula as their EF mount brethren. Pathetic indeed. But on the flip side, their RF L lenses are almost second to none. They also have the 24-105 f2.8 and 28-70 f2 which are one of a kind, but of course, you're definitely gonna pay a premium. I want to both curse and applaud them all in the same sentence.
@@connormccaskill I still have a 6d II which thou honest made me wanna stop using a camera - I started with Nikon FE ... then passed to Canon eos 5 then eos 3 ...5d and finally 6dII for having a decent 26 Mpixel sensor without the avsurd cost of a 5d mk IV. I've been reluctant to pass to ML cameras but it seems today the only viable way for having better quality sensor and video features as reflex cameras development seemed abandoned. What I wanted to say is that Canon is doing the same mistake Nikon did at the time of the first autofocus cameras when they released very limited feature at the time and Canon gave pros and very passionate user the eos 3 with some features that even the current R3 doesn' t - the possibility of linking the spot metering to the AF cobtrolled by eye as well -. When Canon got into digital cameras they started choking the features of they non 1 cameras. 5d and 5d II had an embarrassing poor af system which was a kick in the ass to customers exploiting the fact that the competition was with d700 that had a marvellous complete af but with half pixels sensor. Things changed a little when Nikon started producing something with even better sensor and all the af features that Canon intentionally castrated for pushing pros to buy 1 body. Then Sony itself provided its own cameras with the good sensors that were made for Nikons. At that point Canon began to struggle keeping customers from leaving them for Nikon or Sony. When they fixed the af limitations that were absurd considering the af system eos 3 already had Sony and Nikon set a gap on dynamic range Canon filled just with Canon 5d mk IV and not completely. So it's comprehensible users lost their patience and even after good cameras such R5 they jumped over another brand. I'm.learning what I have missed in the last 4 years of development and it seems the new R5 mk II it's a great camera but it's very irritating finding out they still try to keep features stupidly limitated in fundamental aspects: what's the point for a 5 thousand euro camera with "millions" of af points providing exp spot measurement only in the center?? I still love Canon system and lenses and I still own my eos 3 for films but sometimes Canon policies really make me want to kick them in the ass and try a different brand.
Thank you for the video. I currently own both Canon (R5) and many other Sony bodies because canon doesn’t make a stacked sensor camera at 45-50 Mpixel or a 61 Mpixel body for landscape stills nor a compact body light for travel. I find I’m always reaching for my Sony bodies and the great selection of Sony G, GM, and other Sigma glass that is more compact. Also there are zero RF L primes below 50mm. My only wider prime is an adapted EF lens. Not sure why I’m still hanging on to my RF glass but maybe the R5 mark II will surprise us.
They have no third-party lens support because Canon threatened to sue third-party lens makers for patent infringement. This sort of implies that Canon is no longer interested in the consumer market and only wants income-earning professionals as their customer base paying Canon's premium price for their lenses. They also are not interested in the amateur filmmaking market either for the same reasons. This is why I am not upgrading my now ancient ten-year-old Canon SL1. I considered the SL3 but the market is going mirrorless, so I looked at the R10 model, but the RF mount and the cost of Canon's lenses make it a no-go. Instead, I decided to upgrade my phone to the iPhone 16 iPro or Max when it comes out. It has ACES, LOG format video, and other pro video features and with the improved 5X-Zoom and 48 Megapixel camera that we are expecting I should be able to use it in place of a DSLR for most of my casual amateur photography and filmmaking. After seeing Apple make their release video for the promo event using the iPhone 15 (and a full production crew and 100K with or pro-level equipment connected to and networked for the video). If I do need a DSLR I will rent it for the one or two events I would need it for.
The EF lenses work flawlessly on RF mount via the adaptor. Sure it's not native but you won't notice unless you want to focus on the very edge of the frame.
Long time (40 year) Canon user here. Sold it all except a Canon F1 film camera & a few manual focus Canon FD lenses. RF glass exhorbitant prices & no 3rd party lenses were major factors in my decision. I chose the Fujifilm x mount system & invested heavily in Fujinon glass. Obviously , there are some differences, ie pros & cons, but overall I do NOT regret my decision.
My first DSLR was Sony A300. I’ve been a Canon fan after seeing how much better low light performance was - it was finally usable past 200 ISO! Had a lot of Canon bodies, the last one was 5D MK3. Up until the moment I once tried Sony RX100 MK2. Couldn’t ever believe that a compact camera could possibly have much better low light performance than the chonky boys. Past 800 ISO performance was a joke on Canon DSLRs, and I’ve tried a lot of them. Once I was shooting an event in a very dark space with RX100, all other photographers were like, what is this a joke of a camera? And after seeing the images some jaws were dropped. Then I had A7 MK2, A7C, and now A7C MK2. That’s a fantastic system with tons of lens and stellar night photography capabilities for shooting without tripod with lightweight setup. Meanwhile, my friend got a big gig to organize event coverage with provided Canon R5’s. Loss of dynamic range past 3200 ISO was clearly noticeable, the cameras applied some sort of wonky denoise to raws which cannot be turned off, the lenses were adapted EF lenses because the provider said RF glass is too expensive (so they bought the bodies due to the Canon fame but could not afford the glass), and whole video situation was a complete failure due to overheating. The fact that each Canon news article is pathetic is not making me happy for Sony but really sad honestly. PS never understood that “color science” thing, the whole purpose of raw is to make colors anything you want by providing the most amount of information possible. With Canon’s ISO and dynamic range performance stagnating ever since the age of DSLRs, the colors were not that great for me once I discovered Sony again.
Spot on. I have the R6 mark 1 and just got my camera back from canon repair. The circuit board went dead. On one minute. dead the next. Would not restart. Tried everything, nothing happened. Sent to Canon repair, 1 week later, returned and working. Oh, the cost, 409 American dollars. Choke. Canon reliability, hmmm...? One more thing, they upgraded to 1.4.1. The only updated i missed. Read the update notes on canon website, it said, issues with camera going dark and not restarting. You would think the would have reached out to their customer base better than they did. I might have been able to save money. I could not even find web strings on any web sight to provide similar examples of dead board...hmmm!? Live and learn. I am beginning to believe that your experience and observation may be spot on. Enjoy your new camera choices. I will be nervously enjoying mine...Hmmmm? As always, ( for the first time ) keep up the good work and keep'em flying From the little red planet...Hmmmmm? 😂👽👽👽👽👽
I saved for a year to get my R6 and Bought an external monitor only to find out they left out HDMI out with touch screen controls only to make you buy the r5. It overheated on every wedding I did and they wouldn't let 3rd party lens manufactures make RF lenses so they are all super expensive. I got an FX3 and have SO many features and lens options and I couldn't be happier.
I like trying new things. I've owned the OG A7III (sold it). I've owned the GH5S (sold it). I've owned the R5C (sold it). Currently using a Canon R5 and a Fuji X-H2S. Love them, like all the other cameras I've used and owned. I don't get the brand loyalty tribalism. I do agree with your overall point. Sony in the past 4 years has really stepped up their game and has given their customers what they want and Canon seems overall stubborn in their ways. The banning of 3rd party lenses and the abysmal slow releases of native RF class is the most annoying thing for me.
I love Cohem Castle (and the little towns it's surrounded by). The views of the river Mosel from up there are fantastic! I just recently bought the R6mk2, I've been a Canon girl ever since I made the switch from film to digital wayyy back when, but you have peaked my interest in checking out Sony as it's been now more than a few times I have heard of the great advancements of that system. It's just so hard to step out of that box that you know so, so well. Anyway, great video & great vibe. New subscriber!
Thanks for subscribing! Hopefully you continue to enjoy the vibes here. If you are using the R6mkii for only photography, there isn’t too much reason to switch (unless you want 3rd party lenses). Photo capabilities between systems is largely the same. But if you’re into video as well, I’d totally recommend looking into Sony.
Genuine question, why is 24FPS footage still preferred when there's more panning or otherwise moving camera shots than ever and they look abhorrent with that jitter?
One off Canon’s biggest sins is how hard they make adjusting the white balance. On other cameras it’s just take a picture and done. On Canon it’s a long procedure. Canon these small details matter!
canon went from being the 3rd party friendly system to being the most strict system, thats why i havent even upgrade to the RF system for my work, i still shoot with canon for photos but like everyone else I moved to sony for video just cause sony is doing it all right for video imo.
Well sorry but no. I'll stick to Canon for now. This 61 megapixel beast suffers from drastic limitations that are a no go for me. Among those, cropped video modes in 4k 60 and 8k. Plus a shitty Rolling Shutter. Absolutely zero incentive to switch to Sony and trade all my Canon lenses.
Why do people take it so seriously and personal when someone switches brand. If you feel your camera is limiting your potential then you have no choice but to change. We all have different needs even if we all used the same camera. One camera does not suit all. The camera companies know this and is why they will never produce the perfect camera.
I current shoot on the Canon EOS R, but the recording limit, 4k crop, hit-or-miss AF, plus no 3rd party lenses makes me tempted to move to a new platform. At the moment i am **possibly** going to trade in my gear to mpb for a r6 mak II. But, the Lumix S5 IIx and Sony A7R IV definitely tempt me for product/edc photo and video for TH-cam and IG.
I think a great upgrade for you could be the Lumix S5ii/s5iix. It really is a stellar camera for a very affordable price. It'd be worth a try if you are able to rent one first
@@connormccaskill so I rented the R6ii, Lumix S5iix, and Sony A7iv. The Canon is out. Far and beyond the worst of the bunch for my use. The Focus hunting was just terrible when doing table top shots. I am on the fence between the S5iix & A7iv. The Sony has the best AF (which is important to me), but the Lumix has all the great features for someone who posts on multiple platforms.
Bought a canon eos RP at the beginning of 2023 and recently made the switch to Sony because I got sick with the lens options with canon and the prices for a simple lens, i have been loving my Sony🤩
Sound Video and couldn’t agree more, Canon have lost the Plot and conceded ground to Nikon and Sony. Lens’s are disappointing and Plasticky. The lack of interfacing with Third Party Lens and their own Lens’s is poor! Great Video, share your sentiments. 👍🇬🇧
Do you get banding with the led lights (non pro video lights but something like a Philips Hue)? It was one of the reasons why I left Sony ecosystem for canon as their sensors didn't get that issue in the same filming environment. Please note my last Sony camera was FS5 & A7R3

For photos is the r6ii better than an old 1dxii or should one trade up to r6 ii I would love to use tracking ai servi and see what the heck is in focus or what the cam is tracking in real time not an overlay or af points seems with it ?? Only have 24-79 and 70 - 200 2.8’s and 50 1.4 all ef.
Oh, that’s a hard one. The canon 1DXii is a legendary photo camera and if you’re only doing photos, it’s probably technically better. However, the canon R6ii is going to give you a much more convenient auto focus set up. I think the choice is really up to you.
Thanks man. I shot in Slog 3 cine gamut. I graded in Davinci Resolve using my A-Roll LUT as a base. I think it’s linked in the description of this video
Might have some buyers remorse in the next few months as Canon is rumored to announce the R5 MK 2 & the long awaited R1… I would’ve held out to see what those cameras offer before making the switch to Sony.
Always something new coming from someone. I honestly think all Japanese camera manufactures play this unspoken game to make sure people are buying Japanese imaging products.
I’m German but I didn’t know about this castle. :D Looks amazing! I started out on Sony, so switching to Canon was never really on the table for me. Interesting to hear the perspective of a long time Canon user. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
As a canon fanboy, i really love and apperciate this video! Great points and perspective. This came up while i was searching using a cankn rebel xt in 2024, wanting to simplify things
LMAO...I'm looking at a 16x20 print that is flawless that I shot with an XT and a 24-105/f4 L. I have upgraded to a 40D and then, 12 years ago, a 5D3. Recently I've been debating between the R5 and the R62. The newer R62 has a few advantages that I find attractive, but the R5 has the advantage in pixel count. I looked at that print the other day from the 8mp XT and ruled the R5 out. My new R62 is on the way.
Hey man, sometimes you’ve got to vote with your wallet. I’m getting back into photography and videography in major way after being gone due to some hardships. And I would call myself canon shooter, but when I bought my most recent camera, I ended up going with a used 7a7iii, even though I could’ve spent a little little bit more and gotten something like an R8, which has superior auto focus, 10 bit color for video, a lot faster read out speed, and finally a lot more frames per second. Also, they’re not opening up the lens mount in any meaningful way, I plan on buying a 35 to 150 F2-2.8, this isn’t available on the RF line. Cannon has some objectively amazing lenses that are not available on any other lens system, when you prevent the other unique lenses from other manufactures from being on yours, it makes it worse experience. Not everyone can afford three to $5000 lenses. But what it’s truly missing that was important for me, was dual card slots. Objectively I believe Canon has better software, I think they’re auto focus in their lower end cameras, are just as good as their higher end cameras. Yet they seem to cripple their cameras in the most objectively worst way. I don’t need all the features from an R6 mark two in the R8, but for goodness sakes, at least give me dual slots even if one’s a microSD card. Nikon is the brand that’s doing the best job at balancing features imo, they just are behind in their auto focus. Ultimate I looked up and said I can buy a Sony A7iii, start getting lenses and when I need to move up to having a camera that has better color for video, I can just buy a FX 30. Because after really looking at it, it is cheaper for me to buy an FX 30 once I need it then to go with a canon camera because of their poor lens selection. (and I know that EF mount lenses can mount effectively natively with the adapter. But to me, that’s a little bit irrelevant)
Having used both you can find all the nitpicky things about each system, but in the end they both do the job, fantastically. What you use to produce what you produce will never be known or cared for by the masses. I never get these videos about switching systems because I feel like its more about getting views and likes than actually telling us anything. At the end you say switching to Sony like everyone else? Is your satisfaction in life doing what everyone else does and following the crowd? Does your self esteem feel better now that you use Sony? I don't get how that matters. I have cameras from all companies and just enjoy using them. Occasionally I'll pick up a really old camera and be surprised how good things turn out. If you listen to TH-cam all the time then you almost feel gear shamed if you don't have the latest and the greatest. For me its not about switching a system, its enjoying the strengths of the different systems and it doesn't matter what gear you use.
I am both in canon and sony. When I go out on day trips in my local city I use my canon eos r + sigma 70-200, sigma 50. For travel sony with tamron 35mm. I am sticking to both for now. Initially started on canon back in 2011. Emotionally not ready to get out or canon.
My "on and off" and now current favorite stills camera is a pair of original Sony A7s bodies...cheap used...lightweight...flip down screen...lots of cheap glass...and most important...there is just something about the fewer but larger pixel sized sensor... reminds me of the original Canon 5D "classic" and the Nikon D700 bodies ...(I am old ...70yrs young...retired in Bangkok and do mostly street stills)
You know, I have that feeling of happiness because, they really asked for it, there are many photographers and videographers coming out of the canon ecosystem, They are losing a lot of market share due to their very offensive strategies towards the final consumer, I believe that the losses are already more than palpable and there will come a point where they find themselves with the Actually, today you can be the market leader but if you really do things wrong people will go the other way, or tell that to Apple when they decided to remove so many ports from their MacBooks for so long,In the end they ended up implementing them again, And I'm curious why you didn't just stick with your Lumix s5ii as your main device, didn't it have all the features you needed to have it as your main device?
As someone who has yet to go short-flange mirrorless (SLT user) I am looking at the systems and really finding sony to be the less appealing option if I completely disregard my A-mount lenses.
Part of it is that they sell way less FX cameras vs A7 cameras and the FX cameras have an extra fan. So the cost to build them is not the same and the sales volume is way down. That’s what affects the price.
Very true. One thing I forgot to mention in my video was the photography capabilities of the A7RV with that 61mp sensor. I don’t think the a7siii would have worked for me for photography
Hahaha, switching because of tech. Does anyone even look at photos or videos anymore? They just want to see specs. This is the perfect example of new gear syndrome. Yes, Sony is the bleeding edge of tech. But their color science makes people look sickly and even though pixel peeping is great, sometimes the details distract from the story you are trying to tell. I already did the full loop: Canon film to Canon digital to Sony crop mirrorless to Sony full frame since the beginning and now back to Canon full frame, because that's where there are no more technically shortcomings, mirrorless and 8k video. Everyone is up to tech par now, but Canon's color science wins. No more dark dreary videos or zombie looking skin. Canon photos and videos look cheery and inviting. Yes, a few years ago, Canon was not up to tech, but they are now. Unfortunately, the world's economies are shifting and prices are sky high for new tech. So, yeah, Sony is higher tech for cheaper, but Canon wins in color science. I think many people will feel the same when they look back at their portfolios and see what works and what didn't regardless of tech.
Hey Connor, was great to meet you in Düsseldorf. Did you end up going to Neuschwanstein castle? I had no idea Cochem had the oldest castle. This looks beautiful and I must go! - Joel

If switch system is just as easy as sell the camera and buy a new camera, I would be switch system every year that a new camera from different brand come out. The reality is swtich system is a pain. You have to take pic of every lens and list them on ebay or other site and it takes times to sold them with siginificant discount than original price you paid. Then you need spend a lot on new lens. The process lose a lot of money and takes a lot of times as well. Unless there is really something I could not do that I could do with the new brand that really impact my work, I woild not switch. Or you can invest in another system that you can simply adapt your current lens. Like if you have canon ef lens, you can adapt to Panasonic L mount. Then it is mush easier to just buy a L mount camera.
Did you try your canon lenses on the sony via the e-mount to ef adapter? Do all functions work? I have a bunch of canon lenses that I can't let go. Not happy with the autofocus on the R7 and I feel like the r6mk2 would be a sidegrade rather than an upgrade.
If you could only keep one of your camera which would it be? Would you say for video the lumix is best? Also do you prefer the colours out of the lumix?
It’s a hard choice. I won’t say switching to Sony is right for everyone. If you have a lot of Canon glass, getting the canon r5 could be the best option. But if you don’t really have many lenses, I would highly suggest getting a Sony camera. Hope this helps
Great video! I’ve got the a7RV as well and it’s a great hybrid camera. I am very interested in the a9iii and will hopefully get my hands on it when it becomes available in Australia.
The A7RV is a weird camera to start with for video. You have to choose between bad rolling shutter and crops in 8k and line skipped 4k. DR is not on the same level as other Sony and Panasonic cameras. Something like the Nikon Z8 would be a much better hybrid camera at a very similar price. Only disadvantage might be the lens selection.
Fair reply. Just found it odd you chose a Sony body that's arguably noticably worse at video in many respects compared to the R6 II, let alone your Lumix S5 IIx. Yet here you are, definding your choice and judgement by bringing up the photography perks of your $4k body vs the $2k body!? Strange. @@connormccaskill
Canon RF lens are very expensive. I switched to Sony from 6D for a smaller setup with prime lenses, and I am happy with the results. Recently I am interested in getting a R6ii so that i can reuse all my EF lenses.
Just bought the r6 mk2 to go with my c70… stuck in the canon eco system since the 5D mk2 days have about 10 lenses from l series zooms to nice primes and costing out the swap to sony with similar kit is £15-£20k vs just bought the r6 mk2 for £2k …. It’s gonna be a while before I want to commit a swap! Plus I must say having previously shot on an fs7 SLOG3 isn’t as nice as CLOG2 in my opinion, maybe I’m wrong but I used to have more issues with the colours on Sony. Shame the r6 only has clog 3 it does seem a shame as non of the cinema line up have as good AF
What is it about RF lenses that you dislike enough that caused you to buy a Sony system that required new glass? Also, granted that Canon lenses come with a premium price, but do they not have lenses that meet your needs? You spent a lot switching to Sony, does the savings in third party lens prices make that worthwhile? The small HDMI port...no one seems to like it. But, I've owned a a 5D3 for 12 years and the small Y port for remote shutter and the data port for file transfer and tethering have been well used without a single failure. So, as I understand it, you are now using Fuji, Canon and Sony gear. I hope you have 3 separate camera bags.
You're doing every other photographer and videographer a service when you switch. Vote with your money and show Canon that anti consumer practices and camera designs won't be tolerated.
And another Canon owner bites the dust - I switched from mainly Canon to mainly Fuji for similar reasons and have never looked back. Tried Sony and Olympus and back in the day used Nikon digital for pro work all felt by the wayside- I love my Fujis / perfect - no, just perfect for me.
The only problem I have with Sony is that their lenses won't work on any other camera, because the flange distance is too short. You can put your Canon lens on your Sony, but you can't put your Sony lens on your Canon, or any other camera. So if you spend $2500 on a Sony lens, you can only use it on your Sony. If you buy a $2500 Canon lens, you can use it in just about any camera with the right adapter.
@@Panotaker Nikon has adapter for Sony mirrorles lenses. So you Can put all Sony lenses to Nikon mirrorles. I think that is better when you can use Canon lenses on sony body than use only Canon lenses on Canon body.
Canon has the unicorn lenses. The 28-70 f2 has no counterpart. A lot of people don't realize that f2 is twice the light of f2.8. The 10-20 f4 lens is a unicorn. It's autofocusing and is rectilinear. There is a major difference between even 10 mm and 11 mm. If you want to dabble into telephoto without breaking the bank, you can get the 600 or 800 for under $1k each.
That 28-70 is an odd lens. I’ve used it before, but it’s just to awkward and heavy for my liking. Doesn’t work well on a gimbal either. Although the image off it does look good
@@connormccaskill the weight actually helps with stabilizing it. I was quite surprised how smooth my videos were with it. The first time I used it at an event for 5 hours straight, my arm was sore afterwards. But now I'm used to it.
Hhhmmmm... Sorry but somehow I really must disagree with you here ! The RF 28-70mm f/2 is an amazing piece of glass but it's not for anyone ! Maybe a wedding photographer will like it but in that case I really prefer the Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 for Sony-E or Nikon Z mount ! The problem is that for the price of that 28-70mm you can have an amazing 24-70mm f/2.8 and at least a 35, 50 or 85mm f/1.4 or even a 35mm f/1.2, which actually was my choice ! I was a Canon shooter for decades and had all my favorite focal lengths in the L series but this was until 2015 and for sure that glass was fantastic, but today, some third party manufacturers are proposing at least the same quality lenses (if not better) for a third of the price of an RF L lens ! It's only my opinion but as long as Canon will not open their mount and be a little bit more reactive to provide new cameras and firmware updates, they will loose more and more customers ! It's sad because otherwise they have very good and reliable gear ! I believe that another huge mistake by Canon was to build that 70-200mm f/2.8 which is way too expensive for a dust sucker ! All the professionals I know who have changed brand recently are into a system proposing an internal zooming 70-200mm f/2.8 which will always be one of the main zooms for any pro ! But as I said... On ly my opinion dude ;-)
@@rga66 yes, your opinion. sure, you can buy value. But no 24-70 will capture the same amount of light as the 28-70. The 28-70 is twice the light which isn't something to dismiss. The 24-70 is not a good low light lens. A Ferrari is 10x the price of a Toyota. It sure doesn't perform 10x better but you pay for performance that can't be obtained by the Toyota. As for the 70-200 lens... Dodgers Stadium has a 6" lens limit for people that don't have press passes. I can get the 70-200 past security without even a pause and once I'm in, I can extend it to whatever length I want. No other 70-200 can get into Dodgers Stadium. Plus, it's so easy to pack for trips (which I don't but I could). If you're just chasing the goal of buying as many lenses as possible, well, you do you.
Torn…I am excited to see what this R5 Mk ii brings and what RF lenses Sigma is bringing to the table in Q124. I get the switch but I do think I may hold off and give them another shot at coming through here at the beginning of the year.
Agreed, hopefully they won't just squeeze an adaptor in and call it a day like Canon did with some of their newer long RF lenses. Big big fan of Sigma Art lenses so expect they will deliver. Hopefully the R5 will come down in price. 2nd hand they are still stubbornly expensive.
Yep. Canon menus broke me. Also, frustrating counter-intuitive "can do this but not that" issues and "oh but when you are in that mode you have to know about this" gotchas. The menu system feels like DOS. Screen is too small for fingers. I still have the EF lenses, the R6 is gone.
I shoot on the A7siii and I just bought an Osmo Pocket 3. I was also in Cochem, Germany and toured the castle in November. I like the idea of the Osmo as a B-cam because Sony IBIS is lousy. I have been contemplating a move to the Lumix S5iiX because of the excellent IBIS. So why did you move to Sony and not go with the Lumix for professional work as well as personal work? It seems expensive to have multiple systems and lens sets. - anyway, loved the video. Im now a subscriber.
Thanks for subscribing! That’s cool that we were in the same place. One of the things in the video I didn’t really talk about was the photo capabilities of the A7RV. I think that’s why I like having it in conjunction with my S5IIX. Although you are correct, I probably should consolidate to one system.
In my over half a century on this earth I haven't had a desire to be like "everyone else yet" But good luck to ya! All of these cameras are capable of pro results in the right hands and all have compromises.
It's the closed lens mount that really f--ks me off. For years I've wanted something smaller and lighter than my rather heavy FF kit. I've tried the EF-S route and Cameras like the R7 and 10 look very capable... but the lens choice?!! Canon, you are forcing me to look elsewhere!! [Fuji xs-10/20 with the 18-55 looks like the answer!]
Death by a thousand cuts. Perfect way of explaining it. I think a lot of people think everyone switches to Sony because cause of “marketing” but they’re truly just giving us more bang for our buck.

Sony pays well to influencers who switch to Sony.
Maybe the marketing campaign is working but I know several photographers in real life who are switching from canon and Nikon to Sony.
I make the same mistake sold canon bought Sony , lost lots of money, now I’m back with canon r5.
Never Sony.
It's a big money loss. I considered the same but I'd be out at least 5k. What was your biggest reason for moving back to Canon?
@@Princeton_Jamesalso did the same sold the FX3 for the R5C
Same thing happened here sold sony and kept my r6mkii.
@@A_Mkty whats the reason you are keeping r6ii over sony?
Ah! Ok I got my facts a bit wrong then. Do you know how much of the original castle remained? Was it simply the foundation
Yes, rebuilt at the same site on the old foundations. But a new structure, keeping to medieval architectural norms to keep the originality of it.
I've had the Sony A7iii and IV. Dust has never been an issue. Not sure exactly what you are talking about.
Curious, did or do you ever have issues with your r6m2 freezing?
@@silverrob67 not that I recall. I still have it but mostly using it for video and my R5 for photography.
@@Princeton_James thats great news. I had tiny dust spots often and needed constantly cleaning. The dust spots would show up at small aperture like f11 and smaller.
I think a more apples-to-apples comparison could be found between the Canon R6 II and the Sony A7 IV, rather than then more expensive A7R V.
Yeah, the r6ii is great for video focused users and the a7r4 is a high resolution sensor thats better for photography focused users. Why compare those two? Less mp for video generally creates a nicer image. People just chase stats rather than using the equipment they have tho
The main things he was comparing are the same in both cameras. Full-sized HDMI, SLOG3 which is Sony's best profile., autofocus and lense choice..
The fact you're seamlessly talking and making your point with 30 different backgrounds is blowing my mind. Looking good bro!!
Hahaha I’m trying REALLY hard. Thanks man!
I feel sorry for those that would never mount a Zeiss Milvus 135mm on a Canon R because the adapter is "Soooo inconvenient"...
I’m looking at getting back into Fuji cameras again as well
@@connormccaskill Well they should be! Enjoy your new system!
Haha thanks 🙏🏻
Hella snobby😂😂

Cry wolf it’s a common problem with TH-cam creators.
Fujifilm is awesome 👏 great choice
As always, ( for the first time ) keep up the good work and keep'em flying
From the little red planet...Hmmmmm?
That's awesome! I have been loving my Sony since I purchased it!
Yeah, I think we get stuck with brands because of lenses. The only brand I’m “loyal” to is fujifilm!
Preference? 🤷♂️ some people like the motion blur
@@connormccaskill sure, but you can drag the shutter on 60 FPS footage too, worth experimenting with at least
Noted!
One off Canon’s biggest sins is how hard they make adjusting the white balance. On other cameras it’s just take a picture and done. On Canon it’s a long procedure. Canon these small details matter!
True
It is funny that you are speaking about hdmi port and evf in the same sentence.. are u even using hdmi port if you enjoy the evf?
Evf for stills HDMI port for video
canon went from being the 3rd party friendly system to being the most strict system, thats why i havent even upgrade to the RF system for my work, i still shoot with canon for photos but like everyone else I moved to sony for video just cause sony is doing it all right for video imo.
Yeah when it comes to video, Sony is crushing
@@connormccaskill forsure been in joying my fx30 still learning but been loving it. Color grading has been hard tho.
Yeah, I'm going to be working on some LUTs to make color grading simpler. I'' probably make a video about it soon
True, they always get close to that "perfect" camera, but it never actually releases
How is the dust issue on sony cameras ? Is it a big issue ? I dont feel like cleaning a 4500 euro camera everytime i am going to use it.
So far no issues, but the sensor closes when off.
It'd be worth a try if you are able to rent one first
Panasonic autofocus… slow… Canon speed
@@connormccaskill so I rented the R6ii, Lumix S5iix, and Sony A7iv. The Canon is out. Far and beyond the worst of the bunch for my use. The Focus hunting was just terrible when doing table top shots. I am on the fence between the S5iix & A7iv. The Sony has the best AF (which is important to me), but the Lumix has all the great features for someone who posts on multiple platforms.
Why ditch a whole system when you can just get a newer Canon body?
Bought a canon eos RP at the beginning of 2023 and recently made the switch to Sony because I got sick with the lens options with canon and the prices for a simple lens, i have been loving my Sony🤩
Right on! Glad you liked your switch to Sony!
Sound Video and couldn’t agree more, Canon have lost the Plot and conceded ground to Nikon and Sony. Lens’s are disappointing and Plasticky. The lack of interfacing with Third Party Lens and their own Lens’s is poor! Great Video, share your sentiments. 👍🇬🇧
Thanks for sharing
Your color grade is on point. What pp did you use? Did you use a lut to grade this video?
True, but I can cross that bridge when it comes, Sony is the best choice for me as of rn
Always something new coming from someone. I honestly think all Japanese camera manufactures play this unspoken game to make sure people are buying Japanese imaging products.
Wouldn't that be crazy
Still wont have 3rd party lens support...
I’m German but I didn’t know about this castle. :D Looks amazing! I started out on Sony, so switching to Canon was never really on the table for me. Interesting to hear the perspective of a long time Canon user. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Glad you enjoyed the video! You should take the time to explore that castle if you get the chance. The surrounding town is beautiful as well
@@connormccaskillYeah, looks like I really should! =)
This is a great mistake that i maked too. Now i am backon Canon
As a canon fanboy, i really love and apperciate this video! Great points and perspective. This came up while i was searching using a cankn rebel xt in 2024, wanting to simplify things
Haha, I still have an XTi and T2i that I need to recycle.
Yeah. Just bought an R5 to replace my 5D mkiii. All my lenses work with the adapter. Including my 3rd party ones.
That’s awesome. I use the Canon R5 for a lot of work still. It’s a great camera, just didn’t love it for my personal equipment.
Crazy for the a7rv is waaay more expensive than r6 ii. Even if you get the r5C you wont spend that much.
8K sensor without raw? Not worth the money.
Have you noticed worse high ISO performance in the rV?
Not particularly, but then again I haven’t been put in too many bad lighting scenarios yet
I have the Canon eos 250D, but wanting to switch to the Sony a6700, do you think that is much better than my reliable(ish) Canon eos 250D?
Why the issue with micro hdmi?
It’s easy to break those cables on productions. They are just not very reliable overall compared to full sized
It technically does, but it isn’t my favorite for photography. That’s why I wanted the A7RV over an FX3 or something.
Just switched to the A7RV and A7CII from Fuji. It's time. 🙂👍👍
Right on! Although I still have a soft spot for Fujifilm
I love my EOS R ❤️, i love my EOS RP 🫶 and now i love my EOS R7 and R6 MII 🤤🤤🤤. Thx Canon for your Cams 😘.
Glad you like them!
Literally every issue you mentioned about the RF system is why I’m thinking of switching awesome vid bro 👊🏼
Thank you 🙏🏻
Is it good to replace my 5d mark iv n canon 6d mark ii with the new canon R6 mark ii?
If you like Canon, then yeah I think you would enjoy that upgrade! Although your EF lenses wouldn't be as good as the native RF lenses for the R6II.
or go for R5 ;) or wait little bit longer and take a look at R5II bur R6Ii is also a very< good camera for this price!
Ey awesome choice! Cameras are tools and showing any brand loyalty is for fools.
Exactly! I’ve stuck with Canon because it was convenient to, but eventually that was a mistake. Appreciate you watching man
If you loved the FX3 but wanted the epic viewfinder the A7siii IS an FX3 (pretty much) with an epic viewfinder.
Very true. One thing I forgot to mention in my video was the photography capabilities of the A7RV with that 61mp sensor. I don’t think the a7siii would have worked for me for photography
@@connormccaskill Aaaah fair enough, although it does take mega stills, just not for everyone. 61MP must be nice!
Yeah, everyone prefers certain specs over others. For me, I'm really digging the A7R5
At 0:06, where did you get the silver lens cover?
I think many people will feel the same when they look back at their portfolios and see what works and what didn't regardless of tech.
what camera did you use to shoot this?
I left canon for Fuji and LUMIX. I’m still considering an zve20 when it releases. E mount gives me lens envy. So many options.
There really are so many good options these days
5:15 i was fully expecting subscribe if you like castles hahahaha

Yup, switching is a total pain. That’s why it took me so long to jump over to Sony
Very interesting! I still shoot with EOS R and wanted to upgrade. Idk what to it I want to switch to the R5 or the Sony A7C2 someone help lol
It’s a hard choice. I won’t say switching to Sony is right for everyone. If you have a lot of Canon glass, getting the canon r5 could be the best option. But if you don’t really have many lenses, I would highly suggest getting a Sony camera. Hope this helps
Of course canon... sony gives u headache
I wish someone at Canon watched TH-cam so they can get an idea of what's happening in the real world.
Haha for real
How much is the Sony a7R V AF better than Canon R6mII?? Cmoon
Great video! I’ve got the a7RV as well and it’s a great hybrid camera. I am very interested in the a9iii and will hopefully get my hands on it when it becomes available in Australia.
Yeah the A9iii looks so good! Just was a bit too expensive for me
The A7RV is a weird camera to start with for video. You have to choose between bad rolling shutter and crops in 8k and line skipped 4k. DR is not on the same level as other Sony and Panasonic cameras.
Something like the Nikon Z8 would be a much better hybrid camera at a very similar price. Only disadvantage might be the lens selection.
Fair point, I really like it for photography so far though. I think that’s why I’m keeping around my S5IIX as well
This is a truly weird video.

Fair reply. Just found it odd you chose a Sony body that's arguably noticably worse at video in many respects compared to the R6 II, let alone your Lumix S5 IIx. Canon RF lens are very expensive. I switched to Sony from 6D for a smaller setup with prime lenses, and I am happy with the results. Recently I am interested in getting a R6ii so that i can reuse all my EF lenses.
how do you mount to your bags shoulder strap?
I use a little adapter. I'll link it for you: amzn.to/4aBngeR
Sony camera is the best overall and like third-party lens also technology vs Canon or Nikon etc..
Sony might be great, but my NINE L lenses say I stay with Canon (my R5 and R6-1).
Haha that’s a fair reason to stay I’d say
You're doing every other photographer and videographer a service when you switch. Vote with your money and show Canon that anti consumer practices and camera designs won't be tolerated.
Exactly. I hope Canon makes a comeback soon though
that is not the oldest castle at all, maybe in DE, but definitely not in Europe
Yeah google failed me ha. Someone else already corrected me. Still a cool castle though
I love my fuji camera as well! They are special cameras
I just wish sony updated their ergonomics, i've owned both canon and sony and Canon is by FAR much more comfortable in the hand
100% agree
A7RV is slower in every way and twice the money, maybe better video log option and that's it, if I needed to shoot 4fps bursts I'd go back to film
You don’t need to like my choice
The only problem I have with Sony is that their lenses won't work on any other camera, because the flange distance is too short. You can put your Canon lens on your Sony, but you can't put your Sony lens on your Canon, or any other camera. So if you spend $2500 on a Sony lens, you can only use it on your Sony. If you buy a $2500 Canon lens, you can use it in just about any camera with the right adapter.
Ah that’s fair, I can see that being annoying. For me personally I don’t think that’ll be an issue though.
You can't put RF lenses on Sony only old EF lenses.
@@mathixx yes, that’s true, at least not yet, but you still can’t put Sony lenses on a Canon.

Fair point on the stability with that lens. If it works for you, that's awesome!
Welcome to the E-mount gang!
Only been here a lil while myself but too thebsame route pretty much.
Thanks! Yeah I'm excited to be here!
Thanks for the insight. How about a comparison between the r6 and the Lumix s5 from a photographers point of view
EOS R6 Mark II $1,999, Alpha 7R V $3,499.99 - both on sale right now. You have to compare apples to apples, not apples to oranges.
Not a comparison video
Torn…I am excited to see what this R5 Mk ii brings and what RF lenses Sigma is bringing to the table in Q124. I get the switch but I do think I may hold off and give them another shot at coming through here at the beginning of the year.
Fair enough! Hopefully Canon surprises us
Agreed, hopefully they won't just squeeze an adaptor in and call it a day like Canon did with some of their newer long RF lenses.
Big big fan of Sigma Art lenses so expect they will deliver.
Hopefully the R5 will come down in price. 2nd hand they are still stubbornly expensive.
Oldest Castle in Europe is Castillo de Burgalimar in Jaen, Spain, finished in 968.
Yeah i got false info. Seems like it is still pretty controversial to say what is “the oldest” castle. Still was a beautiful castle to visit
Is there a reason for the crushed blacks?
In my over half a century on this earth I haven't had a desire to be like "everyone else yet" But good luck to ya! All of these cameras are capable of pro results in the right hands and all have compromises.
Et maintenant ?? avec le r5 mk II??
It's the closed lens mount that really f--ks me off. For years I've wanted something smaller and lighter than my rather heavy FF kit. I've tried the EF-S route and Cameras like the R7 and 10 look very capable... but the lens choice?!! Canon, you are forcing me to look elsewhere!! [Fuji xs-10/20 with the 18-55 looks like the answer!]
It will be imperative for Canon to address these issues in their upcoming R5 Mk2 (the competitor to the Sony A7R5).
I agree, hopefully they do
