Eating at the Old Sugar Mill Pancake Restaurant at De Leon Springs State Park | Refresh Review

- In today's video, we wanted to do a refresh review at the Old Sugar Mill Pancake Restaurant located at De Leon Springs State Park. They recently closed and reopened with new owners so we wanted to see if the experience of cooking pancakes on the griddle at the table was the same. De Leon Springs State Park can hit capacity pretty quick, especially in the summer. It was packed! We had to wait about an hour and a half to get in the restaurant but they now have a text notification to let you know that the table is ready so that is a great new feature! The Springs is fun to walk around and look at different things. The visitor center now has merch and you can get some pretty cool gifts. We went on some of the nature trails and saw Methuselah, a giant, old cypress tree. We really enjoyed all the food at the Old Sugar Mill Pancake Restaurant and are thankful that it hadn’t changed but actually has improved! I’m so glad you did this place in the summer on a Saturday! I’ve been wondering what it’s like and how early the crowd starts. But with no A/C, I think we’ll visit in the winter 😊
It actually wasn’t too bad. The fans do a great job and it was extremely hot that day. However, cooler temps would be perfect so go whenever you will feel the most comfortable!

Looked good this time and last time! Tip: If you'd grill those pancakes until super bubbly and dry around the edges they won't fall apart on you. 9th grade, home ec class, thaught me that! First thing I ever made.

Hello! Thank you for watching! Thanks for the suggestion! However, we have discussed these two things in other videos before. The panning is due to the video being filmed on an iPhone. I don’t even turn that fast but since it’s a small device, it looks that way on video. If you are watching on a bigger screen like a TV, that is why. If it’s on an iPad or computer, it’s much better. Also, my wife is soft spoken and that is completely fine. She doesn’t want a microphone and sometimes doesn’t want to be on the video. And that is completely fine with me.
