It's more a consequence of greenscreen making wide shots dull for the most part. The actors don't have an area to interact with. So if you want substance and a feeling of the actors being in the space, you want to focus on the props they're in. Wider shots means that less of the shot is the actor interacting authentically with their surroundings. So it's either to make a dense frame with no sense of space or a big frame with no sense of space. Of course it's all lazy. It's just why they do it. It's fighting the technology they've chosen to use.

I personally got around to playing Borderlands 3 recently. Not as bad as I thought. Some cringe here and there in dialogue, but I do understand the hate when it comes to how some characters are handled, on top of some weird pacing. Regardless the gameplay is very fun.
im more confused why they chose these specific characters. Like I love krieg hes my favorite vault hunter but hes just a weird choice to put in there instead of mordecai or brick. Also the villain looks super generic, I have a weird gut feeling that were gonna get a post credits scene thats gonna reveal "wow guys look were setting up handsome jack for the sequel, make sure to watch that when it releases." but I dont think this movie will sell well because borderlands fans are kind of annoyed with gearboxes recent stuff and how there writing has turned what can be best described as sorta reddit humor, and general audiences I feel would prefer something like mad max over this. Like I obviously want this movie to be good I love borderlands but I just don't see it being a good movie :(

Haven't played Borderlands, but isn't 7:50 the final boss? Did they spoil the literal climax of the film? Also is it just me, or is Kevin Hart being weirdly understated?
Nope that looks like a Thresher from Borderlands 2. Final boss from the first game was a similar looking tentacle monster, though.

There is precious little that is redeemable about Borderlands but the inclusion of a straight man (Roland) to everyone's stupid shouting Sandleresque bullshit was vitally important. It's baffling to cast a loud annoying cock for the role, even if he's just going to be going, "THEY FLY NOW" lines.
how Krieg sounds and is written is gonna make or break the movie for me tbh. he's all I have. they already did Tina dirty (no offence to that actor but she was NOT the right choice for Tina at all)

The third borderlands game has amazing gameplay but I had to turn off the sound cause i kept getting headaches from the voice actors and script.

I personally got around to playing Borderlands 3 recently. Not as bad as I thought. Some cringe here and there in dialogue, but I do understand the hate when it comes to how some characters are handled, on top of some weird pacing. Regardless the gameplay is very fun.

im more confused why they chose these specific characters. Like I love krieg hes my favorite vault hunter but hes just a weird choice to put in there instead of mordecai or brick. Also the villain looks super generic, I have a weird gut feeling that were gonna get a post credits scene thats gonna reveal "wow guys look were setting up handsome jack for the sequel, make sure to watch that when it releases." but I dont think this movie will sell well because borderlands fans are kind of annoyed with gearboxes recent stuff and how there writing has turned what can be best described as sorta reddit humor, and general audiences I feel would prefer something like mad max over this. Like I obviously want this movie to be good I love borderlands but I just don't see it being a good movie :(
