      Just ordered your V2 bench and a few additional accessories like extra handle and extra wheels and leg crunch to replace my REP PR-5000 (loved it for a few years) which is just heavier and far less nimble than your bench.
      So is there a strong possibility in the not so distant future of a grippier vinyl like on the REP black wing and upgraded foam to be available as a new upgraded separate bench pad purchase? Maybe even just 12.25” full length without taper. Like a “powerlifting” pad version?
      Numbers etched onto both sides?

    • @rayjbb1494
      @rayjbb1494 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Numbers on both sides would be very helpful and a stand so when upright it's not resting on the pad would be great! .
      Knurled Stainless steel finishes for the handle, stainless steel logo and stainless steel pop pins for the attachment mechanism like the BlackWing I think would also be great for those wanting a more premium finish. People could and would be willing to pay extra for those premium touches in the pro version. It's an incredible product although still doesn't feel as premium as some of the newer benches

  • @Rt9235

    The foot print is very small since it can stand vertically when not in use. I weigh 200lbs and find the bench to be very sturdy. I put wheels and handles on each side so I can move the bench out of the way quickly, which works great if you work out in a small space. The attachments are all good. It was the best investment for my space. Great bodybuilding bench candidly.

    I have this along with the Rep 4100 and FB5000. I bought the Ironmaster specifically for the leg, core, and crunch attachments. It’s a pretty good bench but the quality is not as good as Rep. Some of the materials and finishing seem a little cheap, the pad material isn’t great, the wheels suck, and the legs get in the way a bit when I’m benching. On the plus side, it’s truly an all in one if you want just a single bench, the numerous adjustments and angles are nice, and the attachments I have work great. Like a lot of home gym equipment it all comes down to your needs and budget.

    i have the super bench, looked at the pro, didnt have much difference to me and is a little cheaper than the super pro v2... i absolutely LOVE this bench, which i bought on your recommendation. The ab attachment is what i use with my cable pulley to use lat pulldown, i also step on the bottom rungs to do low rows at the moment, would be nice to see those purpose made attachments for the bench but also already capable for the current setup. My favorite attachment for it was the leg machine which works awesomely with out the need for a dedicated machine for legs alone taking up a ton of space... the preacher curls attachment is nice too and i thought i would use it more but nope, its the abs attachment and the legs machine that I love the most. Money well spent, i was going to go with the rep bench before you showed this one and the additional purchases I would have had to make would have cost me around 500-1200 more for the same movements... Thanks for all your awesome work man!

I don't have a ton of equipment but I have a power rack with a high low plate loaded pulley and attachable dip handles. All which are better than the equivalent ironmaster bench attachments. I watched your review last year and it almost made me pick another bench. However, I ended up choosing this bench because of all the attachments and the potential to build out the ecosystem. It seemed like the best option for leg extension/curls. I loved it. A few weeks later, I ended up also getting the Inspire FT2 cable machine and their bench with the leg extension/curl accessory attaches to the cables, which is way better than having to load plates in my opinion. So, I sent the Ironmaster Leg extension accessory back. I thought about sending the entire bench and other accessories back because I didn't need two benches. However, the dip attachment and the crunch situp attachment are awesome and I wanted to keep those options. After using both benches for a while, I actually prefer the Ironmaster bench over the FT2 bench for a few things like chest supported rows, etc. I added a handle and wheels so I can maneuver the bench from either side. It's just easy to setup up workouts and super convenient for how I use it. I couldn't agree more with this review...it's a great bench!

Main advantage this seems to have is the lighter weight, all of the attachments, and that dip bar...but I already have a dip bar for my rep rack so I'm good on that. Other benches like the AB-5000 zero gap have better padding for sure, and mine has been holding up very well.
    Maybe not needed for people who already have something similar, but should be HIGH on the list for ppl building new gyms or replacing old benches. Love to see the competition and innovation.

      Completely agree! I think if you've got a rack then a matador or similar dip handle attachment would be your go to/ rings with a pull up bar. The beauty of these attachments would be if you didn't have space/ money for a rack.
      I'm planning a smaller set up now and eventually a set up with a rack (probs 3-5 years time). My question is if you were starting out again would you prefer to use all the attachments on a bench or prefer your set up with separate attachments on your rack (even if it meant waiting)?

    Thank you for bringing up the weight issue. 95 percent of people don't need these things built like a tank. I have a bench that's 30 years old, half the weight of these newer benches and still handles everything I throw at it. I could probably carry around with one arm if it weren't awkward. I also have one of these newer 100lb benches and hate it

    Great review! I have this bench and love the versatility - a few call outs though:
    1. The attachments do take up a fair bit of space so its worth investing in storage for them;
    2. Playing into the above - the chin up attachment is huge and takes up alot of space; ane
    3. The chin up and dip attachments are great but would benefit from a knurled finish to give a more premium feel to the product! Surprised you didn't call this out in your review!
    All in all however an absolute standout of a product! Great job Ironmaster!

      Stainless steel logo, knurled handle, bigger wheels and knurled pro attachments, laser cut numbers etc. A more high end version that competes with Rep's BlackWing $600 price tag but has all the fancy extras would be sensational!

    I love this bench. I have most attachments. If your tall you will need the extension for your head. I’m 6’5. But they really thought of everything. I yet the decking crunch attachment for nitric curls and to secure my legs for lat pull downs as well. Leg curls/extensions work great as well.

    In the last two years I bought the Ironmaster Super Pro V1 and the XMark XM-9010 benches. Both great. I love the angles and accessories of the Ironmaster and the super comfortable padding of the XMark. If Ironmaster could replace the padding (on both versions of their Super Bench) with the padding used on the XMark I would be convinced to buy another Super Bench.

  • @objectivethinker3225
    @objectivethinker3225 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I've had the original superbench for like 20 years. It's held up extremely well but I realized recently that I absolutely hate the dimensions. The pad is too narrow and the height is way too high. I'm 5'6" and 155lbs (low body fat so thick frame) and I don't think this bench would be bad if you are tall and skinny (narrow frame). I know the new version has a wider and shorter pad but it's still not the 17" H 12" W standard.

    • @howdidigethere4874

      How do you feel about the incline angles & seat at 5'6? I just got this bench and at 5'7, the 90 degree angle seat to the bench feels a bit off for incline exercises but i'm wondering if it's just something you get used to.

    👍 Nice Coop! I have to say, most of all I'm envious of that 65-lb bench weight! I bought the Rep Fitness "Zero Gap" adjustable bench a couple of years back after your review of it, and I love everything about it EXCEPT the something like 125-lb weight of it. I'm big on decline benching, and almost bought the Iron Master Bench until you came out with the review on that Rep Fitness. Just a little bit of a pain in the butt to move around, especially when you're lifting it up while standing in the back of the power rack to wheel it out... Not a huge deal, 'cause hey, we're all strong, but, just 'sayin...

    Great review. I went back and forth on this and ATX and ultimately went MBX-660 - the adjustment for which I loathe. On reflection, the arc mechanism looks heaps better. I think here was either a sale on ATX or availability issue in the UK for the IronMaster, or maybe both, but hearing this glowing review, I think I made a bad choice. Should have learned my lesson with the IM dumbbells and kettle handle and stayed on-brand - they're great!

    This bench always seemed like the best choice for those working out in a small space (without the option of a squat rack) because of its many attachment options. Rep spoke about additional attachments for the Blackwing like a leg curl attachment but having the attachments all on the bench like dip bars, pull up bars and leg extension curl may be better/easier/ more convenient than the Rogue jammer pull up bar, rings, a Blackwing (and the leg curl attachment that may come out while using monkey feet in the interim). Would love to hear from those with both options and how they find it!
    @garagegymreviews a gym build for small spaces rather than stand alone products like the minimalist video would go down a treat I'm sure! So much of building a gym is how you use the equipment in combination with each other rather than how good an item is alone
