- As an actor, Windsor Davies did many television shows over more than 40 year career and on ITV as well and here are other things he did, including a hit single and from others and his family who speak of them.
He died at the age of 88.
As a Indian family we watched him in "it ain't half hot mum" every week. He was absolutely brilliant and so was the whole show. In my opinion that was his best role and what he will be remembered by most. God bless.

Windsor Davies came to NZ and was in a movie Old Scores also Geoffrey hughes were in a stage play and interviewed on tv Windsor Davies was ina Mitre 10 ad with Gryss Wylie and with Don Estell in Whispering Grass.

I'm Dutch and saw It Ain't Half Hot Mum in the seventies. It's still one of my favorite series. Hard to understand why the BBC won't repeat it. Everybody is made a fool of, the British and Indian. That's comedy, so what's the racism? Windsor Davies, may he rest in peace!
