I found it much much easier to take the passenger side motor mount out, supporting the engine with a floor jack and do it from the top. That way you can jack the engine up and down, remove the water pump pulley completely for unneeded access, and you don’t have to remove the crank pulley. Plus, it makes putting the belt on a breeze.
The best way is to route the belt from the bottom, get the belt onto each pulley but do the waterpump (the big non-grooved) pulley last. It’s still a mission…. Watching this video again, I realize I did the alternator pulley last, but the other way is easier
Good question. In theory you CAN take it off with a regular 19. But the special socket is MUCH thicker and built for that. Less chance of breaking a socket
Anytime my friend and good luck! Remember the trickiest part is the water pump pulley. You can’t get it out fully. So find a bolt that can hold the pulley while you break the bolts loose with a ratchet. Also when removing just tuck the pulley up and to the left, it will stay pretty good in that position if you get it right

Hmm, seems not too bad a job
Such an assss pain to replace that tensioner :(
It’s definately not easy my friend
Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Wow, that’s some expert upselling. Good!
@@forevr_8 this one was warranty repair!!
Do you really must install the belt tensioner when replacing the serpentine belt ? Looks hard and to much work ahhhhh
I replaced the tensioner for a whining noise, but if you just want to change the belt you can.
nice active @@maxsmoviechannel
How did you get the serpentine belt back on? Every video shows the after effect.

Great Video
Thanks for watching brother
Using air gun on that alu bolt going into alu block 🚫 not a good idea
Thanks
Anytime man
what did you torque the crack pulley to?
No real torque spec, just use a regular 19 socket (not the thick one we used to take it off) and gun it down nicely.
113 lb-ft
Why can't balancer be removed with regular 19mm socket ?
