How To Remove A Wheel Lock Without The Key
You had called if you were back in New Jersey where are you Lasvegas?😅
Florida now bud
Looks like a Honda 3.5 L engine, which are known to be male re-quo employ, stripped out by lube techs. He probably had this installed as to not replace the oil pan which is expensive on that motor and to make your life a little easier. Might take a few minutes, but you wont get in trouble for messing it up
I've installed Valvomax oil drain valves on two of my cars and it's been great to not be getting oil on myself or on the driveway after every oil change. I considered the Fumoto valves but at the time their website was out of stock of the model I needed.
I wouldn't accept those, period. 45 min drive for an 8 dollar order with tip. No.
All were declined lol No tip no trip!
I've been using Futomo oil drain valves for 25 years. Takes about 10 minutes to fully drain 7qts out of my V8s. Warm up your engine. Remove the oil cap. The oil flows right out rather quickly.
maybe hes tired of assholes like you that strip the bolt or locktite it on there.
Also you should take the cap of the oil under the hood lol
When you take your vehicle to a service shop you are giving them legal permission to damage it. This eliminates some of the possibilities.
Okay, now open the valve ALL the way. Nice try though
Cause its cleaner.
Drain bolt works just fine, lol. You do it a few times and learn not to make a mess. Not hard. But to each their own. Your vehicle🤷♂️
Why did you replace the filter while there’s still nasty old oil draining from the motor? Maybe it’s just me, but I wait until the oil is done draining before I install the new filter just on the off chance old oil could contaminate the new filter. And like someone else said, why not inspect the rest of the vehicle while you wait for it to drain? You’re missing out on potential work that the customer didn’t even know they needed. Just my 2¢
@@TheTutorialLevel OK so the oil filter sits higher than the oil pan. So once the oil filter is finished draining, there is still the remainder of the oil in the pan, which is what you’re seeing draining out also make no mistakes, full MPI was done. And the video took 20 seconds.
@ yeah, I understand that, just the way I’ve always done it for whatever reason 🤣 even if there’s no difference, just makes sense that way in my head. Not trying to question your work friend, just sharing my thoughts
Bro shut up i use that shit on 10 gallon oil pans on trucks they drain fast asf you a click bait for views
@@anijp9275 Did you not see how slow it is? It’s literally on video.
I agree, those fu motos SUCK! If u bottom out, & snap that off??? 🤔🙄
🤣 Most cars have some sort of plastic shield nowadays
The J35 (this engine) does have a shield but not covering the oil pan
if you manage to bottom out that hard, you're going to want to inspect a lot more than a 3 dollar drain plug valve.
I had this guy go over a speed bump maybe a year ago? He ended up cracking the oil pan, running out of engine oil, therefore blowing the engine. And he tried to tell me that he went over doing at the most 3 miles an hour.
Hmm was the car warmed up? Did you loosen the fill cap or pull the dipstick up? Most "techs" are computer smart/common sense stupid.
Yeah, that’s not the case here my friend. The car was straight off the highway, piping hot, oil cap off not my first rodeo.
@@maxsmoviechannel Then did you bring it to the customers attention? Maybe another issue, something in the bottom of the pan slowing flow.
Most "customers" have a mouth wrench that fixes everything perfectly, and arm themselves with information they got from Scotty Kilmer. Then they try and act smart in conversations like this. Lets take you, for example. Why are we loosening the fill cap and/or dipstick? Airflow so the oil can drain faster? Motors are not air tight. They can't be. A "common sense" solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Hmm was the car warmed up? I assume that was in reference to the oil draining so slow. How can someone with your level of common sense not see not see that tiny little hole the oil is pouring out from? Even the smallest drain plugs are at least 2x to 3x larger than the one on the valve. Instead of making fools out of yourselves, why not check your facts before you make a post? Its not like any of this information is a secret.
@@052RC Hey Jr I kinda bet that I have been in the automotive repair business way longer than you. I've worked for GM dealership, Dodge Chrysler dealerships, independent shops and now have my own, 39yrs doing this. You want to know why I got out of the dealership end? Cause of guys like the OP and guys like you. Between the whiners like the OP who bitch and complain about every little thing all day long. And the guys like you who knows it all and you can't tell them differently, cause they learned it in class on a computer just the other day 🤣. Thank you thank you for reminding me how the dealerships are. I will return to my 4 bay shop that's completely paid for and turning a great monthly profit. And the greatest thing is, I don't have to listen to whiners and know it alls like you two.🤣🤣🤣🤣
These are nice to have on fleet vehicles that require frequent maintenance. I’ve installed on people’s personal cars by request. Work great
They are probably good for that type of work
There is a good reason the factory doesn’t put petcocks on oil drains, you might find out why.😂”hint” vibration …
I don't know what's worse that drain plug or having the drain bolt labeled on the bottom of the pan... Mike, I'll tell dumb people are these days though. Even the young mechanics need a f****** label going to the drain plug.... Remember the Subaru Simon drive event signed and drive well. Let's just say they used to do that on those commercials. Oh, sign then drive. All you need is your license blah blah blah and then now when that commercial comes on at the end it says in reality you will need more than your signature and license. That's the world we're living in that you have to have a oil drain plug labeled and commercials have to say at the end in reality. XYZ
And did you happen to warm the enjun? That oil looks awful thick
Vehicle was right off the highway, very hot
@maxsmoviechannel yep if people would just leave stuff factory.
Blow air into valve cover genius
It’s great for ppl who do their own oil.
I agree, it’s probably good for them
If you're a lube tech it's because of idiots like that that over torque the bolt
I would cancel that so fast !
I highly doubt it if you have to change oil outside in the winter time and snow on the ground. Pan under the vehicle, flip the lever and go back in the house for a cup of coffee.
cockamamie bulshit hit a diaper in a road and oil spills out. Nerd
Those things always make me laugh. Its a solution to a problem that doesnt exist 😂😂😂
Your showing your youth or inexperience or maybe both. Those fumoto valves have been installed on hundreds of thousands of semi trucks, tractors and stationary equipment longer than you have been alive.
Lies. I have Fumoto valves on all 3 of my vehicles and none take more than a few minutes to drain.
So if someone gets different results than you, they're lying? A lot of trucks take about 15qts of oil.
It's easier to drink from the tap of the Fumoto drains. Used motor oil pairs nicely with crayons with paste for desert.
That sounds delicious 😂
Looks like a v6 Honda their all generally 17mm not that hard plus imagine it just opens up while driving or your unaware, just making it over complicated for no reason 🤦🏽♂️
Yes Honda, V6 J35 engine
GET YOUR PLUG HOLE STRIPPED OUT BY A DUMMY OIL GUY AND YOU'LL LEARN SOMETHING BUD
“Does his own services” then why is he here for an oil change
Ahh probably because he gets free oil changes but only at the recommended 7 to 10k. So he does one himself in-between the recommended service intervals.
😂
😂 guy must be a rocket scientist cause this is reeeal smart 😂
🍻🍻
I already spilt a half gallon of oil down the side of your motor while changing the oil filter.
Honda J35, you’re always gonna spill at least a little bit on the subframe 😂😂
🤣🤦
Yes...a protectant like 303 Aerospace protectant.....but not silicone. Residual silicone can affect a host of engine sensors and systems....and heaven forbid....talk to a body shop......they will tell you don't spray silicone within miles of a body shop if you want to ruin on-going paint jobs....
That looks like it’s off of an old Kohler generator. It would either be a Ford, Hercules or a Cummins engine. Maybe even an IH… They have that same style drain valve. My hesitation with this would be fear of road debris shearing that off or accidentally opening it..
Depends on how hard it is for the shop to Not strip out the threads…he’ll I’ve had to get a shop to replace my damn dip stick because they broke it off being stupid or somethin
I install them on my trucks. I have to do oil changes every 2-3mth. Sure it takes awhile to drain but its really clean to do one. On my valves i can hook up a tube and drain directly into an empty oil jug. It also allows for a oil sample to be taken mess free. Easy peazy in your driveway. While its draining im doing things up top like changing the air filter, checking belts etc. Im sure it sucks for the 10min lube places. But for those doing a proper maintence doesnt notice any extra time that it takes to drain.
I supposed to be done 🔥
You should be inspecting all the car in that 10 minutes, instead of bitching wile you are saving the oil pan threads and no gasket to leak There wonderful.
Did you pay for the 120 point inspection or "just an oil change, the cars fine, I do all my own work (expect a simple oil change)."
Get air coming in from the top& it’ll flow better..😂
You’re supposed to change oil in the engine is hot anyway
Take the oil fill cap off.
It actually was off 😂
@maxsmoviechannel that is definitely a long time then. Though as I think about it, having the filter off should have increased flow too.
It looks like somebody filled the oil up to the valve covers. When it pours out the PCV valve it's full.
FFS man. Could you be anymore cringe? OPEN THE VALVE ALL THE WAY! As a kid, how short was your school bus?
I want to put that on my e60. To remove that bolt on an e60 n62, It takes a lot of strength and torque to remove it.
With or without the valve, it was not going to drain any faster . did you at least heat up the engine that looks like cold oil?
Yeah buddy the car was fresh off the turnpike t
The youtube experts are out in full force today. See the hole where the oil is coming out? The hole for the drain plug on the oil pan is at least 3x bigger.
There would not be a need for if not for the bad mechanics that either leave it loose or tighten it so much they damage the pan plug or gasket. The dude cares about his car. Just work with him. This is a sign of the times we are in. Looks like you have a covered clean work environment. You have your gloves on. A nice oil drain pan. A lift so that it is convenient to work under. Just wipe the oil off the car from the filter change and carry on. Not saying you were the bad mechanic.
No he put that on because he goes to jiffy lube to get it done
People do that because many mechanics now just wear the patch. And when they damage the plug they blame the last one. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
