@@maxsmoviechannel2025 the way we did it is we cut up a duralast 10mm hex bit like really small and used a small 10mm ratcheting wrench to break it loose and after that we used some pliers to take it out. It’s tedious but it’s better than dropping the subframe, aligning, and vsa re learn

The starter is causing the crankshaft position code. Since the customer didn’t know any better, the customer elected, install champion, spark plugs and aftermarket coils, which caused the misfires. Not guessing been doing this a while.

@partsshooter I hear you brother the next time I get one I’ll go into PGMFI then data list, then crank the vehicle and compare the crank revolutions to unknown good value. Soon as I get another one. also, there is a TSB for it that specifically mentions aftermarket starters. I’ll look for that too

It does. I see this all the time, this code in particular. There is even a TSB about aftermarket starters causing this code. Replaced starter, code is gone.

Many electronics are built to fit but not to specification, which may cause problems. I’m not against aftermarket parts, just aftermarket electronics

pretty much every manufacturer is picky about certain parts. i just had a Jeep yesterday with o2 heater codes because someone put new bosch sensors and they trip out when they arent ngk.

There’s also a tsb about reprogramming the ignition timing basically and it helps make it run smoother I had that code and a miss on 2&3

Yes, there’s a TSB on that and also a good idea to relearn crank position. I have yet to see an OEM starter trigger that code though, maybe I’ve just been lucky

The OEM would be plug and play, but for an aftermarket unit, they DO sell an adapter on certain radios, where one side plugs into the new radio and the other plugs into the factory wiring harness

For doing alignments across all Honda models, would you say I need two of the same size metric wrenches to perform toe, camber and caster adjustments or one of each size wrench would suffice? I’m a Honda tech myself and will be learning how to do alignments soon. Thank you for your time.

@vanquishstorm3806 for alignments the most common sizes will be 14, 22, sometimes a 19 or 17mm wrenches for front toe and rear toe would be basically the same. Some models don’t have adjustable rear toe (like the HRV) and many times camber is not adjustable without installing a kit

For models that use the 22mm, 19mm and 17mm, would I only need one of each or two 19mm wrenches for the rear toe adjustment etc.? Are there any models that use a 24mm wrench? I'm sorting through all my tools and seeing what else I may need. Thank you!
