I'm Laurens nan. I cannot tell you her story on here but believe me she has been to hell and back. She is such a strong young lady. She has known her young man since she was 14. He has been her saviour along with all her family. Since the filming all 3 if these ladies has lost a considerable amount of weight. If they’re diagnosed with depression it can make them unmotivated or any other mental illness can discourage them. I’m not attacking you by any means and I see where you’re coming from, but I just feel that maybe you should inform your point of view in a kinder way.

But you can't help feeling sorry for somebody who needs to do that in order to feel good about themselves, even if it is just for a moment.

Wtf how rude of people telling her that she needs to cover her arms because of her scars. Screw those people you are beautiful either way those scars are part of you that shows how strong you are and that you are warrior and you been through hell and back yet you are still here. You look absolutely stunning and don’t let others tell you otherwise. I been there myself and I am proud of those scars because they remind me of who I am today.

I got bullied for 6 years from junior high school to senior high school for having big boobs. Its genetic & I can't do anything about it.. I cried & ate in toilet because I feel ashamed of my body, I'm afraid if I go to canteen students will mocking me in front of other people like they used to mocked me in classroom.
But now, I said screw those people! I am Me. Never ever giving up to be happy & be the beautiful you only because what other negative people said 😊

I have been watching Jone and her partner on TH-cam since I got tired of Klienfields say yes to the dress. Not that its nit a fun show but it lacks depth. But this britsh show has it all. I'm litterly obsessed with the way they help each and every bride come to there full potential. They have such giving and kind hearts. They are like the fairy God mothers where they are needed the most. And this episode just made me tear up the most. Truely heartfelt and magical. I prey for this girls full recovery.

The reason why she wanted the sleeves was to hide her scars
She could just get a stole -just in case she might get nervous or the day might be chilly. Just as a back up for peace of mind. And then hopfully not feel like using it.

Wow I can’t stop crying !! She looks so beautiful , her face totally changes when she smiles . My son has gone through lots of mental health problems and spent several years as a teenager cutting his arms , legs , ankles , you name it . He seems to be turning a corner finally age 17, after several years. It is truly amazing to see someone come out of this and find confidence and happiness . Good luck for the future x❤️

I would go to her wedding and fight anyone who dared to bring up her scars at HER OWN WEDDING. It takes so much courage to wear something without sleeves when you have scars like that, and this bride rocks her dress, scars and all.
I remember being the girl who would wear long sleeved jumpers during Australian summers just to hide my wrists and arms. It didn't matter if it was 20°C or 45°C, you can bet I was wearing long sleeves. I get so emotional when I see other people becoming comfortable in their own skin. It's so hard to love who you are and show your scars when you've been hiding them for years.

I've have had close personal experience with a similar situation and I feel qualified to say hiding those scars and trying to deal with everything on your own, in secret only makes it worse. There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of and if people tell you otherwise don't take it to heart because they are not thinking deeply enough. They are thinking at a superficial level which is of no use to anyone.
It takes a lot of courage and strength to ask for help and even more to show the world that you have survived your struggles. She is so beautiful and that dress looks Amazing on her. I really wish her (and everyone) a lifetime of love, happiness, and health.

I’ve worked at a lingerie store for a few years and I had many costumers of all sizes that felt really insecure about their looks. There is nothing more rewarding than helping a person to feel confident and see how beautiful they really are.

I also have scars on my arms. Over time I just stopped hiding them. They faded and are less noticeable. I don’t ever want to feel that way again but they do remind me of how far I have come. Depression is a lifelong battle. I know she will be able to pull through!! :)

I think this bride is beautiful & should celebrate who she is, not apologize for it! I also have scars all over my arms, not from self-injurious behavior, but from Lupus. I used to try to hide my scars, until my youngest son told me that my scars should remind me that my past is real. We all have times in our lives when we feel overwhelmed, unworthy, and hopeless. The fact that you reached out to loved ones, asked for help, and then worked through it to the point of standing there looking so STUNNING in that wedding gown is evidence of your determination, self-love, and sheer STRENGTH. Wear your scars proudly. You’ve earned your “stripes.” If anyone makes a negative comment, just remember they are scarred far more deeply, in a way that is much more difficult to overcome. Hateful comments are never about the target.
