Oh my, love those sunny skies!! I have a friend's parents who backpacked around Europe and every one of these points they would reach took a rubbing of it and wrote on the back about the adventure. It has all been binded up and it quite the family heirloom. Didn't have YT or drones in those days. lol Keep up the great challenge...and am sure the pup is enjoying the adventures! Bruce and Otis

Not sure how the numbers, 88 trigs in the Peak District hold up. You got lucky with the Chinley trig, as the farmer has now removed it. As for Lantern Pike, on the summit is a toposcope and a memorial plaque. The actual trig is in a field sloping upwards from the pike. When you climbed up the pike from the gate/Lantern Pike sign, instead of turning right at the top to the summit carry straight on, this brings you to a wall/wire fence, look to the right and there's the trig. To get to it, turn right before the wall/wire walking parallel to them until you reach a wall separating the trig field from the adjacent field, housing mainly sheep, here the wire is broken and it's possible to climb over the wall to access the trig. I don't know the history of the trig, I believe it has been abandoned for decades. Why the wire, the field has horses, as the land on the map looks like open access

The ‘88’ is on permanent hold at the moment. A house move means it’s a bit far for me now. I may well get them done in the future, but for now it’s on the back burner! 😆
