SOLO HIKE | Peak District Trig Bagging

Cows, cows and more cows!
In this week's video, I go on the hunt for two trig points as part of the Peak District Trig Point Challenge.
My route takes me through farmland from the beautiful village of Tissington to Wibben Hill trig point, before joining the Tissington Trail.
Trig one features angry cows, an unwelcoming farmer and a zap from an electric fence!
I then head up Tissington Hill to bag the second trig, known as Reynards. I have a further two encounters with cows before making my way back to Tissington.
I have the route saved on OS Maps and ViewRanger and I can share it as a GPX file. Message me if you want the route!

I'm watching your videos in a completely random order having found your channel when researching the NC500. I know that walk you did as a walking group I'm a member of did something similar over 10 years ago now. Tissington is lovely - think it's won awards as best kept village in the past. Enjoyed your video very much. I live in the Peak District near tissington & yes lot of cows in Fields round there. I think they see humans and think somebody's coming to feed them. I also do Trigg bagging. Good fun.

I thought it was just me that turned back at the sight of cows and worried whenever you had to pass through/near someone's property. 😂 Pleased I'm not alone!

I find cows so scary! I've never really had a problem with farmers land before, but they clearly weren't a fan of the public footpath through their field!

Need to do wibben hill. Drove past and bottled going up because of the amount of cows on that bottom road and up the footpath 😂 hope they're going inside soon. Great video 👍

I got electrocuted by an electric fence once! I started accusing my friend of slapping me really hard on the back because that's what it felt like 🙈
