As far as I’m aware (and I might be very wrong) you don’t need a licence to coarse fish in Scotland. At least we didn’t! 😉 We just paid to get the boat afloat and off we went.

Course permit is required for Loch Lomond approx £12 ish, no trolling on course permit. £30 per day for salmon and sea trout. When in season. See LLAIA website for detail's.

@@mboutdoors_uk i used to thumb a lift on barges upto kellogs from Patricroft. i remember the sunken barges at boothstown before they built the marina. All changed now.

Still some mid 20s coming out of klogs recently which is crazy given the amount of persurre it's always had

@@LewisTheDestroyer one of my earliest fishing memories throwing lures round the old sunken barges 😊

Easy to catch big fish on trout waters not so easy to catch a wild one on loch lomond but congratulations on the record who wouldn't want to hold that

In hindsight after speaking to some Lomond anglers yeah we probably should have. But it was more an exploration trip and we wanted to try a lot of different areas. We will be back! 🐊

Etive is absolutely ideal for a sib. So many places to bring it ashore and set up camp. The top end is really stunning scenery, if you can go when the midges aren’t so bad it’s actual paradise! ❤️

I launched from Mylor Yacht Club. Great slipway and loads of room. Trailer has to be put in a boatyard about a five min walk from the slip after launching, but there’s a pontoon to tie up on whilst you’re putting the trailer up. Slip free, parking £7.50 for the van and £7.50 for the trailer. Overnight berthing available but I’m not sure on pricing for that. All in all a great place to launch and one I’ll definitely use again 👌🏼

Caernarfon was pretty wild, but lovely up at Penmon 👌🏼

Lives in a boatyard just before Anglesey. Great for me as it means I don’t have to tow it all the way from home. I have a place local to where I live that I can leave it if I’m heading off North. It’s a bloody long way from Manchester to Anglesey and then Oban 🤪

No problems at all towing the van with the transit. Done North Wales to Oban, Scotland on my own without missing a beat. Launched on some very steep slipways and never had any trouble. Go for it! 🚐 🛥️ 💨
