The difference between console peasants and PC gamers.
1. Play on a gaming monitor not your TV. I notice a HUGE difference when it comes to reaction time. (try to get a monitor that has 4 ms or lower)
2. Burst fire baby. Instead of holding down the trigger to kill some one with an automatic weapon, try letting off and on. You'll notice it's easier to tag those far away targets as well.
3. Practice. Makes. You. Better

Good tips. That's a mistake I see a lot of newer players for most FPS/shooters make and wonder why their aim sucks. They're always usually looking at the ground, or almost zone out and once an enemy does pop up, they have to over compensate just to be able to have the reticle find the target, while theyve already probably taken a couple shots and go into every fight with an immediate disadvantage.

Excellent video. I'm struggling with my aim on BF. It drives me crazy to see these guys drop me with little to no effort and I have to pump entire mags into them.

It's so hard to see them but they can see you always.
Your aiming tip that 3 times improved my game was using left stick for slight drifting of your aim. It's more accurate than doing it with the right stick and also lets you trick your enemies a little.

Tip #1: turn the game off after realising you are nowhere near the skill of TBM

You can get kills without being good. Just have to be smart and use strategy for BF5.
I'm perfectly content that I will never be near the skill of this.
Tip #2: download hacks and say that you are just really bad and your big brother is helping you
Imo set a goal for yourself, like I want to make top 15 or top 10 in "x" number of games in a row. Then lower that number to top 7 or top 5. Try different classes and different guns, plus make smart choices about what gun you are using based off where you might spawn. And always assume there is someone camping in the field, corner, behind the wall, that will save you alot.
I play on a 120” screen via a projector, and I don’t notice input lag, but after 50 your reactions slow down a bit. Still trying to keep up with the younger players. ;)
I’m the same although under 50, I find timing negates speed so placement is key.

Yea no kidding, i am 48 and cant keep up hand/eye coordination with 15 years old any more. The benefit we less young folks have is experience, ie where is this 15 year old gunna go and plan strategically. I cant play COD anymore, all the advanced movement and bunny hopping, gives me a headache trying to keep up with all.
@@rajparmarman you dont need to be that old for it to slow your reflexes tbh, im only 27 and i don't play the same i used to when i was 15-21 im slow now, always shoot second, things like that.

@@TheBrokenMachine TTK was definitely better as it was imo (more capacity to take down multiple enemies if you're position correctly etc.) The slow play style encouraged by attrition ( magnified by the lack of medics as a result of smgs weaknesses) is tedious. As well as this DICE clearly didn't listen to the player base when they first proposed this TTK change and I think have implemented it because they are unwilling to dedicate effort to fixing huge issues such as TTD that are really driving away new players, instead blaming frustration with the game on the TTK which I doubt is the case.

Great video as always! But honestly, in BFV you might as well stare at the floor when you enter a building because 90% of the enemy team always seem to be camping on the ground with their bipods deployed or in a dark corner :/
Chuck a grenade in first plus don't go in through the door!
It's because you have to kill 300 enemies with the bipod on for quest

Ive been a battlefield player since bf3 and ive had great times from bf3 up to battlefield 1 and ive since took a massive layoff from shooting games and i just cant play how i used to before and my aim has gotten worse i know with time ill get my muscle memory back but this video really helped me alot, thank you.
This video is still great, even a year later. I’ve been a console gamer for my whole life and recently got into PC gaming. I’m having the hardest time staying alive and my aiming is terrible. I feel bad for my good teammates because I know I hold our team back!
Snap-Drift works best for me. Good advice. I would add "getting the picture" which is a memorization of what a good shot looks like and training your finger to click when you see it. You know you've got it when you click your mouse subconsciously and at good times when watching someone else play tense first person. So I snap if it's good click it if not drift then click. Shift on the fly mouse sensitivity button is soooo good.
Jumping into bf4 I am fairly exceptional but Jesus Christ I suck bad at bfv leaving matches with score of 17-30 most the time Never played bf1. These tips seem helpful. Hopefully I’ll get the hang of V sooner or I’m dropping the game haha

Play medic atm and just follow your squad around. It's the only thing i can do to even break even on the score board. And you should know by now that k/d Means jackshit. It's the score that counts.
Same. I just can't get a grasp on BFV. In BF1 and BF4 I do well, not the best but top 5 almost every game. The gunplay just seems so washy in BFV. All the guns feel the same and the maps feel very shallow compared to BF1 and BF4. I'll keep trying but I'm not enjoying BFV.
This game is extremely camper friendly and requires you to take only specific paths when advancing and also do lots of scanning next to cover before going for objective. Your best friend is smoke grenade and you will see all good players use them. It does not help that the game is much more blurry and not sharp due to temporal antialiasing . Playing in 1440p or higher helps a huge deal to spot prone machinegunners in a bush.
Had a hard time adjusting to V the first 2 weeks of trying actually to achive something in the games lol, now im doing decent matches. BFV is a totally different beast than privious installments. And on top of that all the lovley bugs that are present in the game.
You look look toward an enemy and pull the aim button to activate auto aim, firing will re activate the auto aim...wow you're such a good gamer now. Congratulations.

When BF1 came out, I was so bad at it. Had a 1kd. I also used vivid setting on my tv which made the game look better but of course there was issues with my gameplay. Watched Brokens settings videos and switched the tv setting to game and my aim and kd got better. Over the 2 years I played BF1, my kd went up to 3.34. Best change I made.

Hey man, thanks for the guide. I watched another video that was downplaying all the others of this nature, went super in-depth to the point of adjusting all the scope settings. I couldn't hit the broad aide of a barn - was cursing this game. After watching yours, I reset everything and adjusted them similar to your reccomendations. Went from cursing to singing haha. Appreciate it! So many skulls were cracked!
Quick tip for players on PC: change the self heal button from C to CAPSLOCK. Mainly because it's little harder to reach C than capslock and there's nothing assigned to capslock at default. also u might press v when trying to reach C quickly which will change the fire mod and it can be a total headache..
But that would hurt me when I go "**%#^¥@ hacker! aimbot! &$$¥₩**#@" in the chat.
I use left CTRL and C for crouch.
I use mouse 5 for healing.
Just started playing this game a couple days ago and I built my first pc a couple days ago as well. I’ve been really struggling not switching my fire rate mode when I go to heal so thank you!! Also any other tips? I’ve played console and COD my whole life and am really struggling to get a positive KD. On Cod I always get too 3 and depending on the game mode I go around 40-7 but in battle field I’m lucky if I kill 10 people without dying double that lol. Maybe I’m just having a tough transition to pc or I just suck ass at the game

Agreed. I think the BF5 game, as it stands, encourages camping.
Got killed the other day by a player laying on their back, right beside a hangar in Breakthrough. I was running towards a side entrance and didn't see the body at all. Never had this kind of issue with BF1. When I saw where the player was I just thought "geez".
Admittedly, I am now playing way more slowly in this game. Especially compared to BF1. Still enjoy playing the game, just feels like I have to hit the opponent with more bullets than they do to me.
@Draydin Bardon it's not about the spotting mechanics. I'm so glad they removed that crap out of the game. I'm talking about the brightness in the game right now.
@Draydin Bardon Spotting isn't that important in the game and should be completely removed as I am sure a good proportion of players do not use it in closeup play.
By removing spotting in BF5, this would give the player a better chance of making it across ground rather than have 3-4 snipers - who can't be seen on the other side of the map -.turn their gun to the red marker above the player and start taking cowardly long distant shots.
Change your brightness.
Do an audio set up video for your headphones and setting with your amp for Xbox
Weirdest thing is that not trying to aim super accurate gives me more kills. And the real weird thing it gets me kills that certainly should not be a kill. This is true in BF4, 1 and 5. And mostly when drifting the aim. It's at a weird level that I almost think it's a bug because lesser bullets hit the enemy than when I aim a lot more accurate directly on the enemy.
A lot of this can be seen when e.g. TBM, Stodeh, Jackfrags are playing. So many kills on drifting but just few bullets hits. (Bullet hit markers activated when aim is outside the enemy body.)

Thank you so much for the tip on game mode for your TV! Mine was set to energy save and changing the setting to game made a huge difference last night. Best K/D playing medic class yet.
I've changed my crosshair colour to a dark blue and it really helps!
I have a few more tips to improve an already very good guide.
From one who was an 8 at least on sniper scale but in this like a 3. Could only make do with semi auto ones.
1.uniform aiming .
2.drop all but mesh to low . Mesh ultra. You may up it later, but just in case.
3. Get your ass to the practice range. Push a target to 50m at least and then pick up a bolt action with x3 or even x6 scope.
4.first stand in front of the target,and try to swivel a full 180 with just one sweep. If you under or overshoot that. Tweak the mouse setting till it feels right TOO YOU! Its all you!.
5.now that its done, switch focus to trigger rather than hold zoom (right finger pressure will cause micro stutters).
6.aim in and out of your target's head. Point is to play with the zoom sensitivity until you can pinpoint on your target's head with the least amount of effort each time you zoom.
This one is both personal and mouse screen related . Some will need 15% some 40% some 90%.
My 800dpi mouse, was about 80% on that.
Before that? On 65% . Those 15% were a game changer to me.
7. Practice with the best (best being comfortable according to the points I mentioned) , on the 50m target while standing still and then ads on it.
that is all. Remember that even with aim assist, you kind of leading it all the way to your targets head and right before the end like semi let your mouse float to the marker.
Hope that helps. But also hope snipers will ptfo, and not ruin it for others.

I'm the guy that will get the drop on an enemy after seeing him run through a door with his back to me. I'll think "yes, finally a kill!" then proceed to fire wildly at him, missing every shot even though he's only 10 feet away. The guy will go "huh, I think someone's shooting at me, where could he be?" Then casually spin around in a slow circle until he finally sees me, still firing at him, still not having landed one hit. He'll then shake his head, feeling sorry for me, watching the desperation in my eyes as I continue to hold down the trigger, before he proceeds to drop me in a single shot.
I guess what I'm saying is, I enjoyed the video, but you can't teach a guy who graduated at the bottom of the Stormtrooper school of shooting how to shoot lol.
Keep moving is probably the best tip, char models in BFV move around so skittishly its hard as a sniper to hit anything moving.

Hi TBM, nice tips. I just started using a Nacon controller for my PS4 and mapped the buttons on the back to replace some of the face buttons. So far it's been a rough transition and a frustrating one. Once I get my muscle memory use to the new controller I think I'll be fine. Always enjoy your videos. Have a good one!

I’m new to BF and console in general. My problem is I will aim at someone start shooting them and move my stick so I go of target. Drives me mad as they end up killing me even though I shoot first.
Quick tip if you're getting shot by a sniper please don't go prone if no cover is present... you're becoming a free kill... Do anything jump run around just don't go prone. I say this as a sniper main... An 80% of people go prone in the middle of nothing
I have Y sensitivity down at 25%, this really helps keeping the crosshairs cantered…
thank so much glad I found this, the default "aiming setting" felt weird and stiff, which why I barely played this on xbox. I really prefer BF1 aiming with how it works, its nice for the way I aim, my god did it make a difference.

Since getting my PC almost a month ago, it’s been pretty hard getting used to recoil on mouse. I have improved quite a bit though. I will also say that after lowering the DPI, I’ve gotten much better too!

Half of this only works for YOU, keep vibration on because it helps with reaction time since it can raise awareness or getting hit and hitting targets.
A suggestion to your comment on predicting where the enemy would be to know and understand all the maps in the game. You would be MUCH more effective as a player.

See my problem is I play mostly bf4 and the aim is fine feels good I'm not overshooting I'm not having a close but no cigar deal either then i come to bf5 exact same settings and i dunno it's like it's like my aim feel grindy stuck almost and dull i have tried everything and I'm giving it a good week to get use to I'm either over shooting or coming way to short of the target and I'm not shifting the settings by much 1 or 2 at a time can't find that sweet spot
I can't hit a target unless I'm aiming down sights. I can't hipfire to save my life. i don't know how people do it. My aim just goes in every direction except the target.
You can upgrade your weapons, more specifically smg's to have increased hip fire accuracy so you never have to aim down the sights.

ThankYou for this tutorial very much.I think the hardest thing to do in multiplayer games is to aim at the head moving or not.I have very good peripherals but its very hard to track the enemy while he is moving of strafe.Yes i know practice makes you better,but sometimes an external factor can ruin your aim for ex: the lag,rubberbanding,in game freeze,etc but in general yes the most u play you get better and better.But how many hours /day can u play to get better if u have a family and 2 kids ...and a dog :))?not much really.Thankyou again for your time and have a nice day.
I wouldnt recommend switching to single fire, id say just tap fire, its a little more difficult to control over switching to single fire but its a good trick to learn. Battlefield is a chaotic game, you could be shooting someone thats far range with your single fire then 2 people show up close range right next to you.. switching quickly back to auto might not be possible so youll try to take them out in single fire and probably lose. If you learn how to tap fire with an assault rifle,. if those people show up next to you, youre already on auto fire and can easily take them out.. while the far range guy you were fighting will more then likely be missing his shots on you too.
What is your vertical to horizontal aim ratio?

Turning 90 degrees with a sniper scope, and iron sights using USA isn’t exactly the same...
What it means is that whatever object occupies the same distance (on the screen) from the center requires the same movement: so if you look down scope, and a guy’s head is exactly half way from the far right peripheral, and the center, it requires the same noise movement as it would to hit an object that occupies that same spot (halfway between right edge of screen and center when using hip fire)
If a 90 degree turn was the same down scope, and down iron sights, the distance required to do a 360 would also be the same.
You guys who use bolt action, how do you train yourself to get headshots? I’m an aggressive player and I usually use iron sights or 3x. Thanks

I've had uniform soldier aiming off this whole time on BF5, and was wondering why my in-scope view was so slow and inpercise. I was missing like 60% of my shots. Lots of good tips in here. I can top score boards/ kill counts with the other 3 classes from time to time but My Recon is always a complete mess. I have a lot of bad habits in game I need to breN myself of. Idk if this is my own issue but whenever I aim, I think I get the body but then it snaps to the side. Either auto aim is messing with me or my sensitivity is too low

This applies only to console gamers, this game on PC is a WHOLE new world. I've played Bad company 2, BF3 and 4 on console. Its my frist BF on PC its 100% different.
