Pichi Richi Double Header 10 Jun 2017

On a very cold, frosty morning we see the 'Afghan Express' (NM25) steaming, shunting, assembling the carriages for her run to Wool-Shed Flat. Here, she is to meet up with the 'Pichi Richi Explorer' Justin Hancock (W22), who has travelled from Quorn. Together the haul all their now combined carriages as a 'Double Header' to Quorn. I hope you enjoy this little video, a lot of others were also 'filming' on the day, and the clear skies were soon to warm up things. The section coming out from Port Augusta worked well, and is spectacular, as is the magnificent Southern Flinders Ranges, enjoy.
