  • The hunt for escaped inmate Danelo Cavalcante continues as the surveillance video of him “crab walking” out of a Pennsylvania prison is being seen across America. Cavalcante made his move while other prisoners were playing basketball. The wall that Cavalcante scaled in the exercise yard is two stories high. Now, many people wonder how he did it.     This prison got absolutely no excuse because five months ago, this is exactly how another prisoner escaped from that same prison, and they did nothing about it.

    The crazy part is that he did that for the duration of the entire height of 2 stories. Meanwhile, the reporter shows that he couldn’t get past 2 steps. That’s some crazy endurance and strength to be able to do that.

    If I had a nickel for every time a prisoner escaped the Chester County Prison by crab walking along the walls, I would have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.
    Seriously though, Chester County has improve their security. I can’t believe it occurred twice within the last 4 months 😂

    My brother used to do this in the hallway so he could scare us when someone walked underneath him lol (the hallway was really narrow with a couple turns and decorative "arches" at the top of every turn so you could walk under him without seeing him first)

      that's a good question maybe the front of the building stretches past the first gate and near enough to the fence or a guard tower he couldve hopped from over the barbed wire? other than that maybe he smuggled in wire cutters

    i did this at the age of 12 just not in a prison but with two trees right next to each other by a creek which I proceeded to get stuck up on a branch until I grabbed a vine and swung into a sandbank, this isn't that amazing of a feat, guys just resourceful.

    I’m 135 lbs 6 foot, me and my buddy have scaled up 3 stories the same way. I don’t even work out much, definitely risky, but not suprised he was able to that.

      Less weight to carry = easier if you have a moderate-high level of muscle. I'm 6 ft tall and 140 lbs. Can attest to it. I can bench 250 though so maybe I am speaking for others who cannot. (BTW I know that's not an insane bench, just decent for my weight.)

      "Cavalcante is also wanted for homicide in Brazil. He is a Brazilian national fluent in Portuguese and Spanish."
      And let me tell you, not a single person here would give a name to someone as grotesque as "Danelo" lmao

      Grab onto the ledge, let your legs swing down, and pull yourself up. You need a lot of upper body strength to do it, but I could see him pulling it off.

    It's not really about strength, even kids can do this.
    Look carefully, he has a technique in how he raises each foot. At the other end he the gaps in between the bricks as grip. Rubber soles shoes work best.

      Use your fingers to grasp the outer edge of the top. Let go of your feet, dangle, then use your arm strength to push up and over the roof

      He used his shirt to protect him from the barb wire and crawl down the wall of the roof. His shirt protected him from getting hurt. The barb wire was actually a rope for him to climb down the wall. From there he jumped at a low perimeter. If you watch the videos of him being spotted, you can see he has no shirt. That's how he did it.

    Back in the 1970x Allowing Prisoners to gain muscles by Exercise was doubted as a good idea to 'keep them busy'. 'Everyone' knew jail was only a training school for crime. It is even better now.
