I’m from Burlington nc. I took my 5yr old to Roll-a-Bout down here for the first time 2 days ago. I went faithfully as a kid!!! Owned my own speed skates and all!!! I’m back into it again now. Bought a pair of Chicago style skates this time. Lol boy do i need to get in shape tho!!! This should help

I’m white almost 50 so u I grew up in the 80s and no father so didn’t have much money but the church would do skate night at comet skating rink and I loved it . I have always leaned towards soul and rNb growing up , die hard MJ fan and loved break dancing and was actually pretty good I definitely have good rhythm for a white guy 😜😜☝️☝️👍 and I gotta say I’ve been watching some of these skating videos of mostly black people and they are killing it . I couldn’t skate to bad knee and back but I would watch for hours if I were there . And the women OMG👍👍👍👍. But anyway it brings back memories and yes a 48 year old white really enjoys watching these skate videos .... 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️. Stay healthy people. I fell once looking at a brother's round as*, LOL! I had on my tiger strip cat suit when the "why do I keep chasing the cat came on" by Parliament. Good memories!

White black brown purple green... anyone can skate if you just practice. Do the research before thinking you came up with the idea.. BUT I did enjoy watching, envious for sure.

One time a girlfriend (white, as I am.lol) of mine didn’t believe me, that I could ‘get down’ so she and her BF (black) backed up and let me do my thing. Their chins were on the floor. 😂🤣 we had fun. And we’re hands down in shock. It’s just funny, I’ve even had someone say, ‘you are the whitest person I’ve ever met.’ Didn’t take offense but bust out laughing. 😂🤣 I was like ok... ya don’t know me, that’s for sure. Ive been to rinks in Las Vegas and all over the Midwest. I skated roller derby (not my thing really) in Chicago, Las Vegas and Georgia. Not until I started hitting the adult nights here in Augusta Ga and see how thy do it down here in the South have I ever been so amazed! I love it! Thank you so much for publishing these videos.
That's what the gang members should be doing to release tension. Set up a fund where they can compete against each other and make a little change. There should be rules like no weapons and just have some clean fun. It would be a place families can come to relax for a small fee. Just my 2 cents w endless possibilities.

Oh man do I remember the rink up on 135th Street and Broadway in Harlem, NYC, back in the 70s and early 80s. It was Absolutely wonderful, All funnn. I can see 40+ yes later, still funnn, and keep on keeping on! Damn party still going on in the house. I commend all those on here. Its Great to this going strong. Enjoy It cause time will fly when having funnn. I am 58 I did roller boogie back in the day, but today I still can get down on the dance floor,But without the wheel, would bust my asssss Lord Have Mercy!

Cool vid but seriously WTF were these people all born with wheels on? I can only skate forwards. Any side to side jamming and I hit the ground. So jealous. Some people have such good balance.

God I WISH I was this awesome on 4 wheels!!!! Super fun to watch - I shared it with my daughters & my roller skating buddies. i love that you show people falling as well. i am new to skating and often times watching these videos i get kinda overwhelmed like maybe i’m not good at it, but it takes practice and lots of falling to achieve these moves =]
