St. Louis Skills on Wheels is the Longest running National Roller Skate Party in the United States "24 Years Strong". Watch as some of the best roller skaters in the country assemble under one roof, the Historic Skate King Roller Skating Rink.

I'm 66 yo and partially blind so I can't roll anymore. I'd be like a pinball machine. But oh back in the day, my two brothers and I would roll up on our motorcycles, boots in our bags looking like a million dollars every Sat night. Y'all keep it up 'cause I'm still rolling with y'all sitting here on the side of my bed.

Your feet will remember, get back in your skates with a friend.
Consider a partner to couple skate with, and go on Monday nights from 7-10p (adult roll 45 yrs and up) which has a much lighter crowd. Even elderly skaters are still rolling. Never give up on your passions.

Mostly. The rink is ALLOT like High School after you have been around for a while. If you are single, dance with the girls, become well known, you are in for a whole lot of drama . Just like High School (more so) you are being watched! What can you do, who did you come with, who do you hang out with, is he banging her? Gossip galore! This sport is about having fun AND showing off what you got! Gangsters, nurses, teachers, doctors, psychopaths you name it, it's there. Some of them stoned, drunk (both?), on LSD, Estisy, etc. You end up with fans, haters, occasional lovers. It is an adventure in life! You make a LOT of friends and inevitably a few enemies. There is romance, lot's of intimate touching in couples dance , the place is sexually charged adult night, sometimes very dark. No sword fights, but nasty fights do brake out now and then, usually over the girls. Depending on how you skate, it's NEVER boring! Can be a 3 hour adrenaline rush!

That's my sk8 Fam. I learned how to Skate at Saint Nicholas and Moved on to Steinberg in Forrest Park. Now It's been 55 year's and counting.
I STARTED AT ST. NICKS TOO. YOU GO WAY BACK. WE WALKED TO FOREST PARK ON SUNDAYS AND WALKED ALL THE WAY BACK HOME TO ROBIN AND THEKLA. I AM 64 AND CAN STILL GET MY ROLL ON. LOVE YOU SK8 SISTER

42 years old. Just got back into it last year. My skating rink ain’t no where near as cool as this. I need this to get better. We need way more people to get back into it. I’m there every Sunday night in VA.

I started roller skating in the mid-70s in to the 80s these are great videos brings back memories I even had a pair of number 5 roller skate with the fur tongue and the jump bar and the rubber Sim Wheels keep the videos coming thanks for sharing🔥👍👍

these are adult only nights. Wish it was like this at my rink. I've crashed into many young ones due to them not thinking and cutting across my path or other stupid actions. Really knocks my confidence when shit like that happens.

My old stomping ground! Started skating at skate king 8months pregnant 32 yrs ago! I Taught my 3 kids and grandkids how to skate there as well! I'll be back to roll will yall tho!!
All me & my crew use to do at skate king is pull up and DANCE OUR ASS OFF because the dj at this spot was POP'N!! It was actually better than going to a club. I looove skate king. Spinks family still go there to throw our celebrations & family time events
