I love, love, love this video. People having fun. No stressing. Several White folks in a primarily Black environment getting down, feeling comfortable, enjoying. The world outside the skating rink should be just like this.
I'm a white guy and grew up skating in "predominately black" .. (if that's how it has to be labeled...) Rinks. The first was in southeast DC.. No one had issues with what color you were.. we all respected each other, laughed at each other when we fell, and helped each other up off the floor.. One of my biggest honors was when one of the "trains" came up behind me and the leader said "it's your turn little man" meaning that I was the front man for the train... I already knew the groove.. That was amazing! I skated in ATL 10 years ago.. had a blast! 52 years old now, I'm still skating being goofy and helping new people learn... You get every size, shape, and ability with skating.. jump in and have fun..!
Dedra Allen Should be teaching people to skate. A lot of extremely talented people who could probably save a lot of people from suicide, drugs, and so on. Be surprised how something enjoyable like this could change someone’s life.
I love seeing my people having a good time nobody's flexing, being stuck up, or trying to look tough; everyone just enjoying themselves showing off their moves.

As far as the lights it looks like a bunch of L.E.D light strips, the slogan might be projected or there might be a program that for these particular lights. It’s pretty cool, I wouldn’t have noticed if you didn’t bring it up.

Myself and serious roller skaters cannot roll off of wack beats played by wack DJ's who seem to think they know rolling skate music.They are basically wack club DJ's trying to play for a roller skating crowd.Don't waste your time asking these wack DJ's to play anything,complain to the management they need to go.

Where is this rink at? I think I've been there before. What is the name of the rink I remember a place called Rolladium coach there was Dick Heath and someplace else that I went to over in Detroit.
