I've got the 2 40I, ended up just breaking off a couple of the slates on the chrome grills, reach in and pop them out - took me no longer than 5 minutes for complete replacement.
Hi James why did u cut the back exhaust to change the tips? all you had to-do is whack the black tips with some wood and a hammer then cut the metal pegs with an angle grinder then flap disk the rest of the peg flat then slide the new tips over the exhaust and tighten?
All that explaining makes me think what I did was easier haha - in the instructions it says to cut the the tip otherwise the new tips will stick out too far
How did you find the lights after the smoke wrap? Did it make much difference to the brightness of the lights on the road? I have a white 2 series and the chrome in the headlight ruins the aggressive look of the front end. I was thinking about having just the chrome part wrapped over by a local company which wont effect the brightness but after seeing your lights i was windering what a slightly lighter smoke wrap would be like covering the whole lamp itself? What say you mate? Im also from south wales beiiiii👊🏼💯🏴as soon as i heard your accent i thought ohhh hes a caaaaardiff boy😏
Haha always good to have a fellow Welshy in the comments! It was definitely darker at night but the tints were pretty aggressive. My advice would be to go less smoked than mine 👌🏾
@@JamesCF10 Wow so I can just buy them from BMW straight away? Im guessing the ones u fitted are from the M2? your build is my dream car congrats bro! Thank you for your help!
Hi james when you fitted your rear diffuser did it seem to clip In properly av got the same model and same diffuser but can still see the clips along the top and doesnt seem to sit well thanks bud
Hi Darrol, I had the exact same issue as you. I brought mine back to BMW and they replaced it, only for it to happen again. What you need to do is get one person to hold the bumper and one person to push against the clips as hard as you both can. Eventually the clips will bite and you'll get a flush fitment
I've not watched many of your vids but just seen this, have you just made an M performance exhaust? I bought a white one of these a while ago, with the M performance exhaust and diffuser factory fitted from previous owner, with the M235i black kidney grill not the M2 ones like you.
The only changes to the exhaust was the addition of the M Performance Exhaust tips and the de-cat down pipe. BMW do sell an actual BMW M Performance exhaust which sounds different to the standard one like mine. Hope you enjoy you car - I'm sure you'll love it!
@@JamesCF10 yep lovin' it, everyday mans disguised M2, it beats Mustangs had it since June last year. Do you have to change the decat pipe every MOT or does it pass?
Hi James, i am driving a m235i a couple of months with the performance splitter. This splitter is cracked badly on the sides. Do you think it's worth it to replace this one and were you able to keep yours undamaged for a long time?
Yeah unfortunately it is really easy to damage and break. I went through 2 splitters and the guy that bought my guy went through 1 within a day of collecting it...I guess that kind of answers your question haha
@@JamesCF10 thanks for your answer man! I bought a dutch edition with all m performance parts so it feels incomplete without the splitter. I will flip a coin and either buy a replica one or remove it. Much appreciated
@@shivarop7839 Honestly, if you're careful on bumps & curbs etc you'll be fine. You have to make a conscious effort to drive slightly differently - as long as you're good with that you should be able to keep it all in one piece 👍🏾
Ah that's a struggle! I bought the BMW bodykit straight from BMW, the Intake and De-Cat came off a friends car that got Totalled and the Laminex for the front lights can be ordered online I believe.
Looks lovely mate. I'm tempted to not buy a Honda Civic/Integra Type-R for once and get a 2 series, always wanted a BM but never got around to it. How much did the M performance body kit cost, if you don't mind me asking?
Yeah go for the 2-Series man, you won't regret it! The M Performance kit cost me around £1,500.00 inc VAT and shipping direct from BMW. I talk about the full costs in my 'is it worth modifying your car' video 👊🏾
I've seen a load of 'building a ....... in 10 minute' videos so I wanted to throw some clips together and make my own. Back to all new videos next week providing the weather holds up 👊🏾

wider wheels
m3 mirror cap
lowering springs

looking sick so far
It's sold now, but we've got a new project car!

Gotta move that shifter over to the left when u drive it in sport+ 😉

Hey man. Just got my 235i 2 weeks ago from Cardiff motor company. Saw some of your vids and was like. .I recognise those flyover pillars 😂😂
