    Be aware that many new construction house listings provide the builder’s property tax, which is significantly higher than for a live-in homeowner. It is good to check with the county to verify the lower amount. Of course, by closing time, the lower amount should be clear, and the county will then convert the property from commercial to residential. Most buyers would appreciate a bit of good news.

    Which builders are your most and least favorite to work with based on personal experience? Hoping you can answer that question without burning any bridges!!

      Great question! As far as my favorite to work with - recently I worked with Four Corners Builders for the first time, a local builder in the Murfreesboro area. Really excellent staff there, and I hope to work with them again. They went above and beyond my clients' expectations. The vast majority of home builders out there strive for quality build and excellent customer service. Ethically I won't disparage any of these companies, but I will say that poor builders leave clues when you know where to search. Check out consumer reports, claims made on them via the Better Business Bureau, and even the local news.
