I always come away having watched your videos Steve feeling educated. I've contacted a few of these gear lever/linkage companies and naturally none make one for my old car, but I'm toying with the idea of "adapting" one to fit my car. So this video was helpful, cheers.
Great video Steve , in depth quality repair , glad the parts were free , modifications with cable ties 15 p , gearchange kit a lotta money when new , bet you can't wait to try it out 👍😎😉
I feel special you removed it just for us. Very informative and when my coolerworx breaks, now i know how to fix it hahaha How does it feel driving now with the redesigned boomerang? For the part that broke, that really should be one solid part, not a ball end that screws into an extension. Be nice to get a stronger one made.
Thanks. I can try and get him to reply for you. I don't really know the full spec as we only occasionally meet at track days and live about 90 miles apart
Have to agree with this, this is straight up cheap materials being used. Those ball linkages should never snap. I would send it back and ask for a refund, i mean he hasn't had it long at all either.
nice to see the lock tight making an appearance 👍
I like the way you adjusted the mech so that the balljoint was'nt under pressure. As already mentioned,I hope the replacement parts were free!!!
Thanks and yes they were. 👌

Glad you went through it all Steve hopefully that sorts the issue I hope coolerworks have sorted you out look forward to donny mate 👍

great upload steve 👌🏻 great work mate
Class video Steve looking forward to the next track day🚘🚘👍😜
How have you done the phone holder near the shifter ?
I think that will break again. There is a large force on that ball joint, especially in the heat of a race and aggressive gear changes.
Great video steve, keep up the great work
Hello. I have had my shifter for a year now and I can't get into 1st and 5th. Could you tell me what needs adjusting please
Another great video Steve, well done.
Surely if it ain't broke, don't fix it, lol 😂😂😂
What went flying off at 09:31 when you press the ball joint in?
Nothing. Can only assume its dust particles catching some light in the camera
@@Sparkplugsteve I was so baked when I watched the video😂 keep it up bro love the videos!!

Iv not driven it to be honest. Thanks for watching.
Steve, check out quadlock they do some cracking mounts
Do these things break there frequently? Hope not as I'm awning on getting one
Top video as per. Is there any chance you could do a spec rundown video on your mates mini?
Thanks. I can try and get him to reply for you. I don't really know the full spec as we only occasionally meet at track days and live about 90 miles apart
Are my ears burning? 😉
Dan Williams yes!! Fellow R53 owner. Just being nosey and wanting to know what done to the car! 🤣
my coolerworx on mini also broke, fun....image u just suddenly realzied u can't go to R and 1256 gear...on the street
Where can I get my hands on that accelerator pedal?
I got the full set yrs ago off a mate but similar can be bought off ebay.
since u didn't show on video, is locking the shifter cable is easier for the install ?
I did not lock the shifter cables.
Great video! Where did you get the pumaspeed hole filler?
Distinct design done it for me
Putting coolerworx to shame with some zip ties 👌👌 Also could you put a none armrest console from a poverty spec fez in to get round the shift issue?
I could but it's really handy for keeping things in. Il just put elbow pads on 🤣
it is what it is
Is this a common think to happen
On the early versions it was but I don't think so with the updated ones.
@@Sparkplugsteve fitting one this week don’t like the look of getting those cables in fingers crossed 😂😂
Did you have to pay anything for the replacement parts.
No under warranty.
Updated design of replacement parts - so a design problem, not a manufacturing quality issue ??
I think it's a design fault yes.
hope you got spare parts free for an item with a big price tag should not have broke so soon steve
Not this soon and because it’s made for track use it should be able to cope with some hard shifting.
@@Alexander_l322 what i was thinking alex and its a mega bucks just for a shifter
Yes they were replaced for free. I had one of the earliest designs so the newer models are all updated.
@@Sparkplugsteve happy days goodluck
Shocking quality for what they cost. Clearly not been designed right and/or cheaply (Chinese?) made.
