I had a similar version to this and found the plastic body of the machine was not strong enough to keep the wheel true, there was always a wabble. So I gutted it and used the motor and put it in a stronger box. I've tried various sharpening machines and these softer stones are my favourites.

Hope you enjoyed the video. The goal of this video was to test how fast I can sharpen a dull knife to a usable sharpness. If you’d want to go beyond that, it could be definitely sharper. I suggest you can hand sharpen on a 3000 grit+ whetstone after using the machine for a even sharper knife.
The company also makes a 6000 grit finishing stone. I’ve never tried that, but I assume that will result in a near mirror finish. If you don’t mind swapping out the stones that should be pretty handy too.

How hard is swapping the stones?

Just realized it is rated just for 100V power outlet. Might be a liability using it from European power outlet.

It comes with a key to unscrew the black cap in the center. Then the stone can be removed.

@@eternal_leather_goods you can buy a power converter fairly cheaply by the way. I use this machine also here in the US.

@@blistersteel do you need a converter when using it In the US? I just ordered mine and was told by the seller that it doesn't require a outlet adapter nor a converter. Thanks in advance.

Looks super good. And the price also seems reasonable. Love the small footprint.

Felicidades por el video. 🤩🤩🤩 que maravilla de máquina. Te quería preguntar que angulo tiene el filo de tu navaja, yo suelo hacerlo a 14º grados pero que la navaja tuya corta mejor. Gracias por compartir.

I don't measure my blade angle at all when I sharpen. So I don't know.

I might pick one of these up but I already invested in 5 nice stones

I think it will still be a pretty good alternative as you can get it with rougher/finer whetstones.
