    I spent over an hour filing and stoning this thing. I used files ranging from 16" down to Swiss pattern files like you might see a jeweler use. On the serrated part of the blade, I filed the grooves between the teeth until they looked sharp, and the 3 teeth have good points on them. I haven't cut anything with that part of the blade except congregated cardboard, which it cut well enough. I filed the rest of the edge to approximate a knife blade. I filed the small flat part on the end next to the small screwdriver bit off. And filed the whole edge down similar to a wood plane or chisel blade. It's about 45 degrees, a lot fatter than the knife edge. I sharpened the inside cutting edge the can opener, and filed a point on the hook so it should pierce a can a lot easier. But I don't have any canned food to try it on. I filed the string cutter notch to try to sharpen it, but the 2 sharp edges of the tool cut string way better. I stoned the main 2 edges I filed down for a few minutes to sharpen them more. So I have what would be over $30 worth of labor in it if I still got paid to work. And I probably won't even carry it because I don't want it cutting my wallet apart. I have an imitation CardSharp 2 credit card sized folding knife in my wallet, in case I desperately need a knife and don't have a few other ones on me like I normally do.

      Great job, but if every side and corner is sharp it is dangerous to put such a tool in your pocket or wallet. 😅

      @@AliWallNot every side is sharp, but the 2 sides that were supposed to be sharp are now, and there's no longer a flat spot between the edge on the left side and small screwdriver bit. The left side is sharp below the bit, all the way down to the corner. And the bottom is sharp except for a flat spot between the teeth and can opener. The other 2 edges are still safe to hang on to. You just have to remember not to hang onto the main blade of these things if you ever use the can opener.

    I just got one of these yesterday. What a piece of crap. After I file the grooves between the teeth, I should be able to saw with it. And I can sharpen the "sharp cutting edge" with a file and sharpening stone. But I shouldn't need to spend so much time using other tools to make this tool useful.

      Yes, but it cost like 2 usd... quality tools cost a lot more.

      Price for what you get is actually very good. The video proves it. This is much better than having nothing, so if you improve it with other tools, you still have this useful tool in your wallet, whereas you cannot carry other tools like it in the wallet, therefore it's very portable and discreet. I say this about any credit card multitool, not just the one in video. I just bought a multitool steel comb from Amazon (Resafy is the company name) for $7. Cheap and effective. 😁 Fits right in a wallet.

      @@Northanteus If you need to improve it with other tools to make it useful, you could also start with a blank piece of steel. The price of a free scrap of steel is well worth it.

      @@BigHarryBalzac Most people won't bother. Easier to buy it cheap and tune it up a little. It's not a main tool, just something to use in a pinch. Not a big deal.

      @@Northanteus If you get it for free and have fix it up, it's not a big deal. Luckily, these things are often given away as "bonuses" or "gifts". But if you buy a tool, it should already be able to do the job it was made for. If i went to the hardware store and bought a screwdriver, I would expect to be able to drive screws with it, without having to grind a blade onto the end of it. And I expect knives to cut without being sharpened first. I just expect tools to work. Even dollar store junk tools might work okay once or twice. If it's a SURVIVAL tool that's supposed to save your LIFE in an emergency, it should really work, IMHO, FWIW.

    But how do you use the inclinometer?

    • @AliWall
      @AliWall  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have tried it in another multitool card and it didn't work for me - th-cam.com/video/tikIpWQVlgc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LjldhJW2PWPl2GjK&t=310

      @BigHarryBalzac 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a good question. I wish I knew. An inclinometer is used for measuring angles of slopes by some people who want to know if a hill is too steep to drive on. If you hang it by a string you know which way gravity is pulling it, but I don't see how you're supposed to measure angles away from the string when the only marks are 45 degrees apart.
